Kandi Burruss found out her castmate Kenya Moore got married when she read about the quickie wedding online. Burruss, pictured left, and Moore star in Bravo's scripted reality TV series Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Moore and Brooklyn restauranteur Marc Daly secretly wed in St. Lucia in June. Burruss told E! News she found out that Moore got hitched on social media.
"I had to call her like ‘Yo! You’re married?’ Because I was thinking maybe it was fake. And then she’s like, ‘Yeah, I’m really married,'" she said.
“I have not met him personally but she has talked to me about him since last year, towards the end of the year. So I knew she had met someone that she had really liked,” Burruss said.
Burruss wasn't the only one who was skeptical of Moore. Especially after the resort where Moore stayed confirmed no one got married there that weekend.
The 46-year-old reality star has a habit of lying and manufacturing fake relationships to collect paychecks on Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The former Miss USA (1993) shared a photo of her new husband in a post on Instagram.com last month. "Marc, you are the best man I have ever known. Thank you for loving me unconditionally," she wrote in the photo caption.
Daly is the co-owner of Brooklyn's trendy SoCo restaurant. The menu includes Caribbean and Cajun style dishes.
Moore swears she doesn't want to jeopardize her marriage by bringing her husband on RHOA. But Burruss is skeptical.
“I don’t know what he wants, but I’m confident that she’s afraid to jeopardize her relationship with what comes with the show, which I understand,” Burruss said. “It’s a lot of tension. And for somebody that’s never been on TV, it’s a lot of pressure and it would have to be something for him to get used to. And not everyone is able to get used to it.”
