Karma Allen Kevin Spacey

Welp, it didn’t take long for the liberal news media to spin Kevin Spacey’s deviant behavior into an emotional coming out story.

The media outlet was criticized for an earlier headline that focused on Spacey’s coming out story rather than his alleged unwanted sexual advances on an underage teenager 31 years ago.

In an interview with BuzzFeed News, Rapp detailed how Spacey, then 26, climbed on top of him after a party in his home in 1986.

Spacey, now 58, quickly responded to the allegations on Twitter.com. He apologized to Rapp, saying he was “horrified” by his own drunken behavior, which he conveniently can’t remember.

“I have loved and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life, and I choose to live as a gay man,” Spacey tweeted.

ABC News jumped out ahead of the pack of adoring media outlets eager to glorify the Oscar winner’s coming out story.

So of course they assigned a black man to do the honors.

ABC’s digital reporter Karma Allen originally framed Spacey’s story with this headline: “‘I choose now to live as a gay man’: Kevin Spacey comes out in emotional tweet.”

The original headline provoked anger online and it was swiftly changed to note Spacey’s coming out story — while adding the molestation allegation as an afterthought.

“‘I choose now to live as a gay man’: Kevin Spacey comes out amid harassment allegations.”

Allen was dismayed by the reaction to his original headline. In a tweet to a follower, he implied that his original headline didn’t mention Spacey’s coming out, and he noted that he asked his editor to revert the headline back to the original, even though “it probably sucked, but still”.

Allen says this was his original headline: “Kevin Spacey comes out amid harassment allegations”.
