Migos Nicki Minaj Cardi B

Migos tapped newcomer rapper Cardi B and old skool rapper Nicki Minaj to record verses on their track "Motor Sports". The single is off Migos's much-hyped album, Culture II.

There's talk that both Nicki and Beyonce are desperate for Cardi B to revive their careers after Cardi skyrocketed to fame overnight.

The track, produced by Murda Beatz and CuBeatz, received mixed reviews on social media when it dropped on Friday. Some fans say the track sounds like a watered down version of "Bad & Bougie".

Why did I just hear Karli Redd announced as part of a tour coming to DC?
Dub, wherever you are, I hate you!?

  • thrift.store.jungle

no and thank u. i must be past my prime because what is passing for music these days just, generally, does not do it for me.

  • MsVAllDay

    So so

  • RaginB

All this sh*t sound the same ?

  • Lady_Elle

Cardi B's Bodak Yellow has an annoying somewhat catchy sound.
She is to this point LUCKY!
The song is a SAD, SAD, SAD excuse for current music.
    The lyrics are disgusting!
She did not earn a PENNY from me! ;-)

  • RICHIE_RICH

Beyoncé nor Nicki need Cardi B. You’re reaching with Ms. Juicy baby arms

DEADT @ "Old skool rapper Nicki Minaj"

Old school rapper Nicki Minaj..... lol, Really Sandra ?

  • ?Royalty?

    Me too ?

  • Dahl

Poor Remy. This was supposed to be her year after she ether'd Nicki and showed up on Wendy Williams dressed for a funeral. Now Cardi just swooped in and replaced her with strippa moves and Down syndrome rhymes...

  • http://www.nicolaloves.com/ NicolaLoves

Honestly, there's enough money in my budget to support all three.

Perhaps instead of pitting them against each other, we should be encouraging them to support each other. They'd make more money if they did features on each other's tracks than this petty fighting and bitching on Instagram without saying names.

  • Dahl

I agree. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that the industry would support that. There's more money in hip-hop "beefs" than unity...

  • Rayne

Just not into them that's all.

Throw the whole song away! UGH....I have to strain my ears and brain cells just to understand what is being said. I have to say I did like Cardi's verse...and Nicki well...how many time is she going to mention that she has sons? She might want to hit Safaree up for some help! Seriously...her verses have been lack luster on damn near EVERYTHING she has dropped for a while now.

  • SumthinSweeter

Lmao @Nikki being considered ol skool... Liessssssss.

  • EntrepreneurialSpirit

In a weird turn of events I liked Cardi's verse more than Nicki's ?

  • Knocked Kneed and Pigeon Toed

I see Cardi is really stepping her game up. Cant always understand what shes saying but I love her passion you can almost feel it. Nicki's verse just flowed better to me tho. The transition, flow, metaphors and bars I can say this is better than others I heard from her this year.

  • Knocked Kneed and Pigeon Toed

Throw the whole song away LOLOLOLOLOL

  • hottlanta

Dayum shame that we talking about Nikki and Cardi B and not mention of music legend Fats Dominoes who died this week as if he contributed nothing to music. Yet we listen to women all each other bitches/hoes and have a fit and call it good. Pitiful

  • morenYAHdelsur

    Riiight ?

  • Dane

I think I don't have time to break down everything wrong in this 'story'. The 'song'? Well, I made it through the whole thing.

  • Blaque Mahogany

Cardi doesn't have bars to me. No metaphors or punch lines. The cadence and sound is kinda short bus shawty-ish. But she has the tone of voice that can get you kinda hype. Kinda like the group that made that nuck if you buck song back in the day. Very hood rat relatable.

Nicki is not the best rapper ever. But I think she is better than Kardi as far as lyrics are concerned. She has punch lines and metaphors. She switched her flow up in this one song about four times. At the same time a lot of her stuff is similar, "you my sons", "my p***y wet". But then again these male rappers rap around the same ish as well.

    Meh. It's about preference.

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

He was way before our time. I'm not familiar with his music. In no way does omitting a post about his death diminish his contributions to music.

  • Anunnaki

Well I guess I'm lucky to have had Run d.m.c, kool moe de, L.L, fat boys, etc.... , ?

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

Face it. Nicki is washed up.

  • Jussjess25

Exactly the shit was wack. Nicki could be better if she knew how to manage her flow, its all over the place and not even on beat sometimes. Cardi is trash to

  • Jussjess25

I can see cardi going about this the wrong way. Instead of perfecting her craft and moving in her own lane. She jumping on wack tracks and watering down her buzz. She needs to continue to ride this wave and come ouf with more independent heat. Nicki's career is fading in the states so shes thirsty.. her flow is trash.

  • Jussjess25

    Facts!

  • rachel

I'm just tired of Nicki - it's the same thing over... and over... and over again. The whole song sounds as if I have heard it before....

Thanks I know about Fat's and Nikki songs "Right Thru Me" and "Good Love" helps me clean my home on the weekend. I am her #1 fan. I love music and thank God for ole skool music I wouldn't listen to the radio at all.

  • hottlanta

Betta know it. This stuff now breaks my ear drums. I love a good beat just as much as everyone.

  • JustB

Nicki should have saved those bars for her own song... and none of those flows added up to a quality song... the whole thing was all over the place... motor sport?

  • missmiami305

Soooo Offset proposed...They were just broken up the other day and now they engaged?

  • laidbackgal4real

    ???

  • EMILY POST

Cardi B had a popular song... Female rappers sound better than the men at this point so i don't see whats all the hate. The dudes are the horrible ones.
They rap about absolutely nothing..... Drugs, Murdering people, womens skin color their women are white and non black foreign and race and how much money they have... The guys suck.

  • rayne215

i agree Migos ruined this song, but im not a fan of theirs anyway. nicki was cool until she had to add another "son" line

  • Imcommame

Long sigh...this one of those fast forward to cardi verse songs lol Migos were trash, cardi verse was meh. Nicki was ok but verse was too long and about the same ish. Wouldn’t care to play this again. Cardi really should just focus on her solo artistry and only jump on remixes at this point. Also remy and Lil’ Kim have a song coming out so it’ll be interesting to see what spin they put on things

  • jayroe44

    Sandra,
I heard that Nicki never agreed to being on this song with Cardi B, and that's why she hasn't been tweeting it/promoting it period. They're saying that she thought the song was just for her and Quavo but then they snuck Cardi B on it. Kind of makes sense. She tweets and promotes all her other songs and features.

  • EMILY POST

Black people are waaaayyyy too comfortable attacking black women because the Men in Rap or Hip Hop or whatever its called do not sound all that Great or even Good for that matter. They all sound the same look the same say the same boring things.

  • tintin

Yeh I hate that's son line is needs to be retired

  • Ms Thang

I got called every hater in the book when I said that people were fans of the remi vs Niki beef and not her and her music. We can't get any post about her without Niki's name being mentioned. I see she's coming back on love and hip hop. I thought she quit to focus on her music.

  • nick c

    You crazy this bangin

  • nick c

This is fire I'm feeling it has a lay back flow, Nicki just needs to stop spitting the same bars she needs change the flow up before she gets washed out.

  • kennedy campbell

washed up or not...she doesn't have to work a 9-5 job like most of us and can drop out the game at anytime

  • MRiGOThim

tell u don't know muzik...she switched her flow 4 times in one song tf :/

  • MRiGOThim

True. But it's a new day and new time. I too was lucky to have had the artist you named.
However, my mother thought their music was crap. (imagine that). Each generation has their own type of music they like.
    My kids love today's artist.

  • Anunnaki

Yea, my mom music to me was like ughhh, til I got older, and dam, I see why I'm ole skool, that chyt had feelings, love, a soul connection. I'm straight ole skool now. Lol

Why didn't she ask Nas for some help/advice. Ain't no way Nas would be my man & my style & flow hasn't improved.

  • MythCalledLove

You mean Nas right?? Because Nas would run circles around Safree and his numerous fur jackets & bare chest. He is too busy getting his pose on.. lol

If you watch South Park you'll know who I'm talking about. If anyone watches South Park do you remember the episode where Butters was a rapper he had his video "I say what what in my butt..
