TI in barber chair

Feminists are up in arms about comments made by rapper-turned-hood spokesman T.I. Harris in defense of fellow rapper Nelly.

Nelly was arrested following a sexual romp with a fan on his tour bus near Auburn, WA on Saturday. The 42-year-old “Hot in Herre” rapper was later released without charges.

On Sunday night, T.I. posted a short video clip on social media denouncing women who lie about being raped by rappers.

T.I. suggested that Nelly’s victim “got mad for whatever reason and left off and said that they raped them”. The father-of-7 asked what are the consequences when it turns out that “the b-tch was lying?”.

“I’m just sitting here thinking, after Mike Tyson, after mothafuckin’ 2Pac, after all the other motherfuckers who done been with girls and the girls got made for whatever reason and left off and said that they raped them or whatnot, what the fuck ever happen when a motherfucker find out that the bitch was lying? What consequences is there for this young lady?”

Nah but Fareal Tho?????

STFU Sir, please and thank you!!!

  • Yoni7

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH HIM! What happens to them? We have seen MANY instances where a woman has made false allegations against a man and the damage that was done. Some may say apples and oranges…..but the FIRST person that popped into MY head was Emmitt Till. And no Emmitt didn’t rape anyone but he lost his life over a false allegation.

Sidenote: I don’t condone his “wording”, but I get the message.

  • Phillybruh

I have to agree with him on this. I mean Rape is a serious charge and often times the man is identified and she is allowed to remain unidentified. I think these young ladies should be brought up of some kind of charge and be labeled a liar for the rest of their lives. The dude will always be an alleged rapist no matter what he does with his life.

  • 2telldatruth

    What’s that on his lip!!!!!

  • Wreckognize Game

I understand what he is saying however why have the “baddest woman in the game” and still sex groupies. Go sit y’all tired asses down. They like rape allegations and STD’s aren’t happening to every other entertainer.

  • JV

Serious consequences for women “lying”* about rape makes it much more difficult for women to come forward — many of whom are subject of character assassination at minimum just for speaking up. The majority of women speaking up are not about to drag themselves through a court litigation process without good reason and there are stats which bare that out. It seems as though he’s saying without saying that there should be consequences for women who accuse men *with money* of rape, being as though he mentioned Tyson and 2Pac, but maybe I’m wrong.

*And who proves it’s a lie, versus not enough evidence to convict?

  • Elevated Soul

For me TI rarely makes sense, however he does here….

These women need to be called out and sued,if they make false claims of rape….Rape is a big stigma for someone to live with, especially if they raped no one.

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

Not your call TI pleas have a Stadium of seats and clean up your own fuggedup lie of a marriage … Damn… WTF with this guy…. Got more shyt going on and still feel called to have a say so on any matter …. Take a Stadium of seats …. >>>>> ?

  • You Could Never

No they aren’t. In fact, I agreed with my sister circle with Tip yesterday on these same comments. You cannot go around lying about rape. It ruins the life of the man and it also discredits those who really ARE violated. I have known BOTH parties. A guy I came up with was accused and the girl was 16. So not only did he have to face a rape charge, but he had to register as a damn sex offender. Only for her to recant YEARS later after moving to another state. And I have a friend to this day who was raped and didn’t go forward bc she thought they wouldn’t believe her.

You lie about it and are found to be lying, your ass needs to go straight to jail.

  • 100milesperhour

Mike Tyson is a bad example of a false rape accusation. But what else do expect from this bumpy lipped clown?

  • tintin

this nigga forever be talking. i can’t stand him.

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

and Nelly loves fuggin girls on his tour bus had two friends that smashed him when he was rolling with the other guys who ran with… one of them use to wear a mask with dreads…. Nelly I know how you get done bruh …. So I ain’t gone say he didn’t do it… I actually don’t GAF!… Trying to convince fans ain’t gone work bew… Convince yourself … As for TIp keep digging your hole bruh

  • Phillybruh

If he was released without charges kinda says he didn’t do it.

  • Enoughsaid2020

Why are you guys listening to this, trying to sound smart midget? SMH!

  • Phillybruh

The consequences should be just as life changing for the man they are accusing.

  • Wakando Shamar Taylor

how is this sexist? don’t know about nelly’s case but the fact is in the last 5 to 10 years there has been a bevy of women who lie about being raped whether it’s against a celebrity or a white girl who doesn’t want her parents to find out she willing had sex with a black man or just over money! the men accused are put thru the ringer and the women are slapped on the wrist! she goes on with her life as if nothing has happened but the stigma is with the man the rest of his life! now with nelly whether it was rape or not dude been a celeb for nearly 20 years why are u still bringing groupies back to the tour bus? fly your woman in if u need some that bad! too grown for that mess! now u gotta spend money to get out of it!smh

  • JV

That makes sense in a vacuum, but I believe trying to implement such a strategy would do more harm than good for the reasons I mentioned.

  • Phillybruh

So the guy just gets to be an accused rapist the rest of life because that stigma never goes away for him. It will always be attached to his name.

  • Mark mcharm

Do even remember that case ? they had more holes than a golf course and still convicted him that is the perfect case.

  • Phillybruh

That case stank but they wanted him in Jail.

  • JV

    But you just said upthread:

“If he was released without charges kinda says he didn’t do it.”

  • Seek Truth Speak Truth

That’s right TI. Ask the questions these “feminists” don’t want to answer. What consequences do the false accuser face?

  • TheOwley

I agree. What is law enforcement’s / the courts approach to addressing false allegations. I don’t think they really know how. How many women have been raped and could not prove the allegation, what happens to them, prosecute? A viable solution may be a civil lawsuit against the person. It’s tough subject and crass comments will never help the discussion. He is not capable of bringing anything to the table.

  • NeverSurprised

No it doesn’t. It says the police are still investigating. They wouldn’t even have had the results if the rape kit at the time of his arrest, nor would they have had time to interview any potential witnesses on the bus.

  • Wakando Shamar Taylor

i get what u saying but having a bad marriage means he shouldn’t give advice on relationships! i have no problem with him speaking on this! because if this comes out to be a lie this is just another women who is making it hard for women who are actually raped

  • StoneColdLady

I may disagree with a lot of things that TI says, but I definitely agree with him on THIS! It is reprehensible for ANYONE to falsely accuse ANYONE of rape

  • Kayke

That’s not true! My cousin was accused of rape and almost had his life ruined, because the girl’s boyfriend and family basically found out she was a slüt who slept with my cousin’s friends too. She went through the entire process with her lies and though my cousins innocence came to light she had no repercussions. He was in the newspaper and his family spend thousands on his attorney…. he had to move from the state he grew up because of this.
Plenty of females lie and partly because there is no repercussions for doing so.

  • Numba Pulla

    Cliffords at it again.. ?

  • Phillybruh

Released without charges. He was facing 2nd degree rape this weekend they investigated and learned something that resulted in his release without charges.

  • NeverSurprised

Since he’s flapping his uneducated lips once again, someone please ask him how he will feel about Nelly if, 5 years from now, Nelly does THIS to TI’s daughter Heiress:

    https://mobile.twitter.com/violanefzger/status/916577604383019008/video/1

  • Phillybruh

Now when ever there is a mention of Nelly this will be attached. He could get a nobel peace prize and they will mention this.

  • You Could Never

It kinda is a good example. Desiree went in and took her panty liner off and warshed. What victim prepares her cooch to be violated? IJS. I dont want to downplay victims but that never sat right with me.

  • WutizaGRANNY!

I think fake rape is a really terrible thing a woman can do to a man. There are a couple of consequences here. If the woman is discredited.. she just cried wolf..now heaven for bid she actually becomes a victim down the road.. her credibility is shot and a man will get clean away with it. Also being that is such a serious allegation, the man especially our men will always at the least be side eyed and at the most be convicted of a unfounded act. So what would be an effective recourse the woman to avoid jail time if she was found to be lying, make a public apology.. because she will get back what she put out there the feeling of humiliation that she tried to inflict on the man. Maybe jail and restitution to pay back the state that took time and man power to investigate this lie. This may all seem good, but here is the quagmire, there are women who have been raped but have no evidence, ie trauma to the area or whatever. Will this woman have to be humiliated and hurt twice? Once by the system that failed her and then the public who thinks she lied. This is whyyy I hate when women do this. It puts those who actually experience this in a worst situation. Should I tell? Would anyone believe me? I saw what the did to the last girl..

  • Kayke

If they are still investigating him, then their arrest was premature and so was their charge….
The evidence they had to arrest him and charge him obviously fell apart as he would be out on bail not released without any charge.

  • JV

Did your cousin trying suing for defamation or slander?

  • LithiumHaitianFlower

    Smh

  • 100milesperhour

I remember it well. Saw the entire documentary about him & how he was fixated on her from the time she got to the hotel for a beauty pageant national competition. She wasn’t some thirsty groupie like the black community painted her b/c Mike was so beloved.

  • You Could Never

My whole thing with that is Nelly been doing it. Its not right no. At all. It gives me the creeps as I said yesterday. But would we, the black folks even KNOW (since he on a country and western tour) if he hadnt been accused of rape this past weekend?

That skit been part of his show all year long. Nobody knew or said a peep.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

I may be in the minority here, but i think he raises a valid question, in general. Let’s not forget the central park five and countless other men who have served years behind bars only to be exonerated much later. Any woman who lies about sexual assault not only affects the life of the accused, but she also affects the lives of real victims by potentially adding to the scrutiny they will face when they finally get the courage to even come forward. Anybody who FALSELY accuses anyone of something this heinous is a loser. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/1b6de19ed0f503a5937335f917caff73f317a286fa74f189520f75704367ed20.jpg

  • Noirluv45

T.I., if you are going to rant something ignorant, at least do it with proper grammar and the intelligence of a man who has 7 children.

The reason why women do not come forward when sexually assault is because of people like T.I. and those who automatically assume a woman’s lying (and this includes, tragically, women) especially when the said alleged rapist is a man of means. What would happen if any one of his daughters or wife claimed to be raped? Would she be that bytch he’s calling other accusers?

  • TV

Has Nelly been convicted of this crime or accused of this crime? Why is the man immediately assumed guilty? What if she is lying, what punishment does she receive?

  • E-VannaRootsAllEvil

Ok now I’m getting tired of TI. that’s a lot when I’m tired

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

girl i swear i typed Emmett Till and erased it because i didn’t want anybody saying i was comparing any of these loose dack wrappers to that innocent young man, but you better say this!

  • Blaque Mahogany

How is this sexist? I’m focused on the message and not the messenger- because I dislike TI greatly- and I agree. I think people who file false police reports and waste police resources need to prosecuted. Period.

That being said, most of these men have too much money to be so damn dumb. I’m not a ninja so I don’t know how they/y’all think but y’all don’t get tired of doing the same ish over and over and over. 45 year old and still inviting the same thots on the tour bus and screwing. Getting put in the same situations to be taken advantage of that your friends and acquaintances were put in. I mean if you aren’t going to grow up at least be smart. Tf. Have these heauxs that your heaux azz is sleeping with sign some CDA’s and attest that they are willingly having consensual sex with your old-never going to mature-dog azz-trifling azzes.

  • Noirluv45

I agree there must be consequences to those who lie about being raped. My problem is MOST women are accused to being lied to; therefore, they never go forward. They get torn apart in court. What really makes me sad is that women are some of the first ones to call other women liars. For those who lie, they need to be punished.

  • Mark mcharm

that chick did mike tyson and was a church girl / daddy was a rev she threw him under the bus and she knew it would stick.

  • Noirluv45

I’m taking a stab in the dark here because I don’t know if the woman was found to be a liar, but just because Nelly was released without charges doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

  • Ms.Vanilla

Rape allegations can never be proven a lie unless the person making the allegation says it was a lie. Other than that, the charges can be dropped due to lack of evidence but it’s rare the courts will say the victim lied. Hence, no consequences.

  • Mark mcharm

We all know what happens in rooms and houses at night celebs do not have to do that, these females are willing not even celebs most females are willing once they get in the house if not they would not have showed up.

  • Rachel

Well when a rapper invite you back to his tour bus at 3 am chances are he ain’t trying to get to know you cause he want to marry you. He wants to f$$$ plain and simple. If you ain’t down with that don’t get your a$$ on that bus.

  • Blaque Mahogany

He didn’t say that he assumed anyone was lying. IMO, that wasn’t his point at all. He wants to know what happens to the women that DO lie? After it has been determined that the woman is lying, for whatever reason, what happens to her? I think that is a valid question. Allegations of rape ruin careers, families, lives, reputations, etc.

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

    Okay !

  • Ms.Vanilla

But why even bring up that question unless he thinks she’s lying?

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

That’s sad. I wish there would be at least one high-profile case of a woman getting some prison time for a false rape accusation. That would really send a message. But it never seems to happen.
Usually the authorities don’t press charges at all in such cases, and when they do, the woman gets probation or a few months in jail at the most… even though the man himself was facing 20+ years on her false accusations. Just one of those unfair things in this life.

  • Blaque Mahogany

Yeah and I get that. But, that really has no baring on whether she was raped. You can go back to the bus with the intention of having sex and he can be on some extra aggressive/abusive ish and you can say no. No means no. Or you can just want to go on the bus to see what it looks. Whatever the circumstance, you have the right to say NO. I don’t know if that is what happened here…just my opinion on the matter.

P.S. I do think that as women we need to be smart about the positions we put ourselves. It’s risky enough out her without contributing to the risk.

  • You Could Never

Stay woke folks. That skit part of his show with the little Becky…was shown ironically the same weekend he was accused of rape…WHY? When he been doing it all year as part of his show? To show him as some sort of pedophile? To show he “preys” on women young and old and in this case, possibly drunk?

    Yeah okay

    https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/76851ab0f182cb18556ab8cbc0defd73b1485d344b64c5e39cfaa8a714308f67.jpg

  • Kayke

No, sorry! My cousin’s family didn’t have extra thousands to fight this real case of defamation as he had to protect himself from the state fake rape charges brought against him based solely on a females word and his skin color. Defamation suits are for the wealthy.
And guess what?! she perceived she was raped, and went forward in that thought…the law is in her side and will state she sought justice not malice.

  • PLEASEDontTellMe

I don’t disagree with the point he’s making. What are the consequences to these women who cry wolf. These men loose credibility at the whisper of sexual allegations. Not to mention they dilute the true victims. What punishment do these falsifying women deserve.

  • imright

i havent agreed wit Tip in a while but im wit em on this. if a women accuses a man of rape & is proven to be a liar she should b jailed !! rape is an accusation that never leaves even after the man is proven innocent. ?

  • You Could Never

White women been lying on black men since slavery in re to sex. You always need to think in back of your mind that she is a gatdamn lie when it comes to black men and white women. Bishes pop up with a lil black baby and its I was raped. They went to get black dick out the slave quarters just like massa went to get black puss. May I recomm. the movie Mandingo with fine ass young Ken Norton for you to see this played out?

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

yes, you and i are in agreement. i’m simply saying that FALSE ACCUSERS only exacerbate the problem for other women by adding to real victims being subjected to suspicion by the system and society at large, i.e., “this not the first time a woman lied, remember so-and-so lied on so-and-so” …..it’s a dangerous game these silly women are playing (and i say “silly” because they obviously lack the care or understanding to recognize the potentially dangerous and far-reaching consequences)

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

    The End!

  • Rachel

Yes you have the right say no. But common sense should kick in. Years ago when cash money first hit the scene they did a show in hometown. After the after party their bodyguards was picking women from parking lot to get in the limousine to go to hotel these guys. I remember the body guard saying flat out “these guys want to f$$$, if you ain’t f$$$$$$ don’t get in”. Countless women got in.

  • Ni Ni

Well did T.I. address how Nelly shouldn’t have put himself in that situation? That’s the chance you take when you screwing everything that walks by. Get to know folks… you should be able to pick up on crazy most of the time.

  • Noirluv45

…and if she’s willing then changes her mind and says no, then he need to reel his peen in. It’s not fair, but it is what it is.

  • JV

I’m sorry to hear that, that really sucks. I certainly do hope for the best for you and yours, no matter what.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

yeah, i think he was addressing the broader issue of allegations of rape that turn out to be false, and not specifically talking about this accuser. (and it’s definitely something that needs to be addressed)

  • http://www.nicolaloves.com/ NicolaLoves

Did TI do a video about men who rape women? Because I’m pretty sure they outnumber women who lie about rape about 100,000 to 1.

  • Blaque Mahogany

We’re saying the same thing. I just think they are two separate conversations.

    1) No is no. If you say no and they proceed to have sex with you anyway, it is rape. Period.

    2) Women should be more careful and conscious about the positions we put ourselves in. Yes, we have the right to wear what we want and to go where we want, but we need to be mindful of predators. Don’t be an easy target.

  • Yoni7

Yep. SOME may say apples and oranges, but there IS a correlation between the two. Hey boo….oops I mean Drew. LOL

  • PLEASEDontTellMe

Its like some of you didn’t bother to actively listen to what he was saying. IDC what TIP’s views were prior……however, No where in this statement, as posted above, in this post, TODAY, is this man making excuses for men raping women. He is asking, what happens to the women who lie on men about rape?

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

Yuck. No wonder these celebrities have so many STD’s.

  • PLEASEDontTellMe

    what show with little becky?

  • Blaque Mahogany

I’m not going to @ anyone because I think when you do that it comes across as confrontational and that is not my intent.

    1. Yes, from a statistical standpoint there are more rape victims, than there are women that lie about rape. That does not mean that we need to disregard or ignore the fact that there are women out here who are lying and ruining people’s lives. That’s like saying, “There are more guilty people in prison than innocent people”. Ummm ok. Does that mean we should just let the innocent people stay in there?

    2. I understand that it is extremely difficult for women to come forward when they are raped. However, that does not mean that every accusation should be taken at face value and that those that DO lie should not be held accountable for their lies. There needs to be a balance. We need to prosecute those that lie and protect (as much as reasonable) those that are coming forward to tell their story. But your protection should not come at this risk of someone else’s right to prove their innocence (by facts not innuendo).

  • Noirluv45

As wrong as the intentions maybe be of those who do everything they can to demean and Black man, people should know not to put themselves in situations like that. He had no business (rape charges or not) for being in children’s person space and fondling their hair. It looks bad and he’s a grown man and should know better. I don’t feel sorry for him one bit. These grown ass men need to be smart. They are too busy thinking with their small head instead of their big one. You’d think a man at a certain age wouldn’t be out sniffing after cooch like he did in his 20’s. Doesn’t there come a time where they learn some self-control?

I do agree wholeheartedly if a woman falsely accuses a man of rape, should be be punished.

  • SingleGalCrazyWorld

Im not a TIP fan but he’s right. Women who file false rape allegations should be arrested and sentenced. They out here lying on people and ruining lives only for them to be free to walk the streets and maybe lie on someone else. Just like the chick who said Bryan Banks raped her and then she admitted she lied. She was forced to pay back the settlement 1.5 million and an additional 1.1 million money given to her from the school district when he was cleared of all charges.

  • ThottyPippen

T.I was talking in circles, BUT I have always wondered what happened to the women that cried rape (especially the white ones) and it turned out they were lying. There should be consequences for ruining a man’s life if he honestly didn’t do anything to you. Especially if he ended up doing some time for it.

  • Noirluv45

The video that’s going around with Nelly bringing up a young White girl on stage. He’s asking her a myriad of questions and then he kneels down, and while he’s inches from her face, he’s twirling the little girl’s hair. It’s real sick to me. Check it out on Youtube.

  • Kayke

He’s fine now! Jaded at times, but still the good guy he was before this happened.

  • PLEASEDontTellMe

I agree with your Post Script…There is no way, in today’s awareness, that as a female, if i am invited back to a tour bus, or a hotel room, at Fuck-Oclock a.m. that I am to believe this person’s intentions are to gaze into my eyes and ask me where do i see myself in 5 years. IF we can have an annual SLUT WALK…naivety is practically non-existent.

  • You Could Never

I agree. But again…Why is it JUST coming to light? When its been done since the start of the year? The tour started way back in the spring. Been part of his set list since the start. Why has nobody said anything to him prior? Why nobody said Nelly that skit is inapp. please take it out? That is my question

Yes it should come at some point. Self control. But how we know he doesnt have any? Just like I dont want to say the white girl is lying I dont want to say he is guilty. either.

  • JV

That sounds great in principle, but I keep saying how do you determine whether there was not enough evidence to convict the man versus was the woman actually lying? If you can prove she’s lying you can at least sue them in civil court, but unfortunately it’s really hard to nail down false accusers — especially without promoting damaging litigation against women who are honest and need to come forward.

  • Noirluv45

I listened to him, but to me, it sounds like he’s assuming that these women who accused Mike Tyson, Tupac, and the others he mentioned were automatically lying. That’s my impression of it.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!
  • PLEASEDontTellMe

    hmmmmm…just saw it.

  • Renee26

They can be charged with the false reporting of a crime if it never really happened…many times women drop charges because they are in fear of the stigma that being a rape victim will cause them, or they don’t want to confront their attacker (just like DV cases). In those cases the women are not punished for recanting their story.

  • SingleGalCrazyWorld

Your making my statement too convoluted. If there is actual proof that a woman is lying she should be prosecuted…feel better now???

  • Layah Jhene

Stop lusting and maybe no woman would be able to accuse you of rape. Some men be giving these crazy women ammunition to Target their dumb behinds. They be allowing all these strange women in their private places to be set up. Black men should know better but since they so damn lustful this is what happens.

  • Blaque Mahogany

at Fuck-Oclock a.m. that I am to believe this person’s intentions are to gaze into my eyes and ask me where do i see myself in 5 years.

Lol @ this whole visual. Exactly.

  • NeverSurprised

But he specifically mentions Mike Tyson by way of example. Tyson was convicted and sentenced to SIX years (served 3), so how is this an example of, in TI’s words, a “bitch” who lied and should face consequences?

  • JV

If there is straight up proof she lied — for example, let’s say she just admits to lying on the stand about being raped — she may be prosecuted: Perjury carries a sentence of up to 5 years.

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

I agree. Just because true rape accusations outnumber false ones by a lot doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be concerned about the false ones. I remember having a conversation with a police veteran with like 25+ yrs in NYPD, who told me it happens a lot more often than people think.
He’s seen several cases where a woman would sleep with her ex-boyfriend and then claim rape just to get back at him for one reason or another. He said in some cases they feel bad later on, and decide to come clean and tell the truth, then the guy gets off. But in the cases where they decide to stick to their story, the man almost always gets convicted and it can ruin his life. It might not seem like a big deal to many of us, but it’s probably happened to hundreds, if not thousands of men over the years and I’m sure it’s a big deal to them and their families.

  • PLEASEDontTellMe

    I don’t know about Kobe.

i guess i’m less focused on the messenger (Tip), or the specific subject (rape accusation) and more focused on the issue of LYING, in general. i’m viewing it from the standpoint of false accusations, period. personally, i cannot stand to be accused of a thing that i did NOT do. you want to see steam shoot out of my ears, lie on me – and bish you can get it, Lol!!!!!

  • Blaque Mahogany

I’m surprised that so many of “us” (black people) are having a hard time with this. I was trying not to bring race in this, but dammit that’s who I am. Yt women lie about rape all the time. All the time.

I’m not saying that the woman should be prosecuted if the man is found innocent. But if it was determined that her azz was straight up lying…she needs to go to jail. Period. There are several different ways that this can be proven without her admitting that she is lying. Now, if it can’t be proven that she was lying, then she is good. But, women lie. They do stuff they regret, or they try to use their body to manipulate and induce gifts/favors. It happens. And if your azz gets caught lying, you need to go to jail.

  • Dahl

I agree with what he said. It’s not like he said women that say they were raped are all liars, but the ones who lie should be punished…

  • Renee26

Ion know about any of em … some men have entitled personalities

  • Blaque Mahogany

Automatically lying? Or after the facts came out people determined they were lying? It’s a difference. I think in the cases he mentioned most people reached the conclusion the accuser was lying or the person did actual jail time because of the accusation. That was his point, IMO.

  • Ms.Vanilla

I’ve seen that movie. And when that white woman put her hands down Ken’s shorts I wanted to jump thru that TV and slap the ever lovin shhhh out her ass. I know lies happen, I also painfully know lies can’t be proven most times.

  • https://twitter.com/Chicagowise Chicagowise

If someone files a false police report, they should be prosecuted and the effected party should sue for defamation. However, if the offender is judgement proof (indigent), suing is a waste of time and money.

  • You Could Never

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

If Tip wasn’t so messy in his personal life, then he’d have a lot more credibility when he speaks on topics like this. I think he’s making a valid and point, here…
But when you’re known to blatantly hoe around on your wife, a lot of people just wont take you seriously when you’re trying to speak as some kind of “moral voice” in our community.

  • NeverSurprised

And because he has been doing it for so long, should we shrug our shoulders and excuse it? Or should we instead ask: “Is a man who would sexualize and fondle an innocent 8 year old girl capable of OTHER inappropriate sexual behavior?”

  • Noirluv45

OK, I can see it that way. However, I wonder if there are people who would come to that conclusion anyway, especially if they are fans. I mean, with the Nelly accusation, people automatically didn’t believe he’d did it without knowing anything. They said his girlfriend is too cute for him to rape someone or he could get it for free so why would he need to rape her.

  • Blaque Mahogany

It has most definitely happened thousands of times. I guess this is one of those situations were people are unable to see the other side unless it happens to them or their loved one. It’s amazing how people’s views change when it affects them directly.

  • Noirluv45

    That’s true.

  • Noirluv45

Oh, okay. Do you believe they were set up?

  • Blaque Mahogany

Those people are stupid and I don’t think that is the prevailing opinion of those on this post that agree with TI’s point. Rape is about power and nothing else. Personally, I don’t presume it is a lie or the truth. But, if the proverbial lie detector determines it is a lie, something needs to be done.

  • You Could Never

Yesterday. I did NOT agree with his protest up at the Houston’s. But other stuff like this I actually DO agree with. I just dont get why his actions within his marriage is a factor in any of it. Its like apples to oranges?

  • Blaque Mahogany

All of this. When you have already proven to be a misogynist, you are starting out on the wrong foot. I got his message though…just wish it came from someone else.

  • Noirluv45

I said that on Twitter and a man said, “How do you know that?” I’m like because tons of women have experienced it when we walk down the street and get harassed. God help us if we reject his stupid behind.

  • You Could Never

I stopped believing the Kobe accuser once it was found she had a tribe of other DNA in her and had a bleeding ass already at the time he supposedly raped her. I know that the accuser’s prior sex life doesnt mean she CANT be violated. But that is some narsty mess. Icanna.

  • PLEASEDontTellMe

it seemed force. She seemed uncomfortable. He seemed insistent to keep her up there. it was weird.

judgement proof (indigent), suing is a waste of time and money.
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Not really. Particularly, if the person accused is a celebrity. It gives your innocence verdict/or dropped charges even more validity. Know what I mean? It’s more about the statement than the actual money.

  • Noirluv45

I think he’s talking about human nature. If someone goes awry in one area of their lives, some people tend to not take them seriously. Maybe that’s what he means.

He will have ample opportunity to defend himself should formal charges be instituted, and with his resources, he will have the best attorneys. However, that does not mean that, in the interim, he should be shielded from a public examination of his OTHER inappropriate sexual behavior with CHILDREN.

It is not just a “skit”. It is a 40 year old man sexually gyrating, crooning in the ear of, and SEXUALLY FONDLING the hair of, multiple LITTLE GIRLS. I will NOT protect him or any other pedophile just because he happens to be black. That little white girl’s whole body was rigid with terror. Nothing happened to the girl in the case I know of. She moved to I wanna say Little Rock with her baby daddy. Her and falsely accused sister were frens. YEARS went by and she had some kind of confessing moment on Facebook that MUTUAL friends of theirs saw. basically said she did something horrible as a teen and she prays about it daily. then said that she had accused the guy of rape.

That cat is STILL on the sex offender registry here. STILL. And the case was every bit of 16-17 years ago. He has to be on it for 20 years. So it impacts him far as jobs. He found a job and been on for years bc he had a terrible time finding even THAT one. Where he can LIVE. He had to change churches bc the church he WAS going to was too close to Ligon and Carnage Middle Schools in Raleigh.

There’s the other related issue here that is similar in all these cases of women placing themselves in vulnerable situations such as on tour buses at 3am, in hotel rooms at all hours, at hotel parties with drugging and drinking derelicts and thugs.

No woman deserves to be raped yet women need to realize men are potentially dangerous and not place themselves in dangerous positions with men.

In high school, my 17 y/o male bestfriend had sex with this 15 y/o girl he had been talking to on the phone for a min. The last time, they got caught and the girl claimed he raped her. Turns out she was really 13. He had a public offender and they locked his ass up. Fast forward 15 years and he’s home, struggling to find a decent job and place to live(as a registered sex offendor) and now this broad has a daughter and has the audacity to admit that she lied bout her age and the rape. Its bitches like her who make it hard not to side eye these situations sometimes.

  • chris

Emmitt till, rosewood, tulsa white women been lying on us since the beginning.

  • INDUSTRY GURU

I will say this, the media is ignoring a trend I say the past 5 to 10 years of increasingly sophisticated targeted setups of celebs for large settlements.

When people saw how much Micheal Jackson paid out, a cottage industry of Celeb hangers on, looking for a pay day slowly began to cultivate and grow. Involving attorneys, private detectives, escorts girls, gay escorts celeb drug runners, and personal assistants and a new breed of calculating groupies

The method of operation is usually counting on the fact that lot of celebs have a ton of dirty little secrets, and scandalous or criminal behavior that they do not want exposed. With social Media now days a Brand can be destroyed in seconds, all it takes is a upload and a click. NONE of what I said EXCUSES them from scum bag or criminal behavior

See, the Dolphins coach Chris Foerster, Kevin Hart, Bill Cosby, Tiger Woods, Charlie Sheen for recent examples. But wealthy black men seem to have a bulls eye target on their back, its hate I assume, and jealousy of the uppity negro, – black mens image seldom ever recovers and often criminal charges apply

  • SweetTEE

Same ish happened to my bestfriend in VA.

It’s “are there” not “is there.” If you want to share what you consider a deep analysis on anything regarding womanhood and rape, bring it correctly.

Same sentence + court costs seems reasonable to me. False accusations make it harder for women who were actually raped.

  • Lady_Elle

I recall Mike Tyson’s rape trial. Personally I think he was set up.
    I don’t recall Pac’s rape trial.
Don’t forget Kobe…. I think he raped the woman and got away with it.
    Women cry rape often.
If you are raped… I think the rapist should not be shown any mercy!
There are a number of women who cry rape because they are LIARS… who don’t give a phuck about the person they are harming!

  • http://batman-news.com Roderick2011

I am still confused about the Central Park Five victim’s testimony since there was a single perp who claimed responsibility and the victim had brain damage.

So did she lie on purpose or did the police plant false memories and then write it into the report that there was more than one rapist?

And if she had had head trauma why was her testimony allowed at all.

  • goat

I too would like to know what happens to women that lie about sexual assaults.

  • NicoleZee

I doubt this young lady is lying. However, if she is, she needs to be prosecuted for perjury. I tend to believe stories like this because women are victimized every second of the day and no one gives a damn. But if this young lady is lying on Nelly, shame on her. Men ain’t shit, but you don’t lie about a serious crime that never happened.

  • Solstice

I instantly chuckled as I read that! ? Sandra is something else lololol

  • NicoleZee

They can be arrested and prosecuted for filing a false police report or perjury. I was reading a story a few months back, can’t remember what state, but a young lady was arrested for filing a false police report about a rape that didn’t happen. I don’t know if she was convicted or anything.

How would you determine that someone lied that they were raped? That is a slippery slope. Just because the accused is not convicted doesn’t mean accusor lied. So, I’m not understanding how it can be proven that the accuser is lying.

  • Guest

It is a serious accusation that could ruin someones life even if not true.

  • Panthr

I’m more concerned about the women who are actually raped and never get justice. These cases are few and far between. Just as you male identified female misogynists tell women to be “careful of their surroundings” you should advise these rappers the same. He’s 42 years old. Grow the hell up and stop sleeping with total strangers every night.

  • thaye

They were convicted yes, but falsely

  • Drea982

I agree. How is he wrong for what he said? When is it ok to accuse someone of such a horrible, stigmatizing, detrimental crime such as rape? You could ruin someone’s life and not to mention making it hard for REAL victims. Despite what goes on in his personal life (which I know nothing about) it doesn’t make it right for females to lie about being raped. It’s a good question. A rapist should be punished but so should a false accuser of rape. Duh.

I agree with him. Women who are really raped often get the side eye from authorities until evidence proves otherwise. It shouldn’t be that way but it is because so many times women lie about it. Like the little boy who cried wolf…U have so many who claim rape that when it actually happens no one believes the woman or the police drag their feet to find out the truth. If this girl is lying there should be consequences for it.

OAN he getting real aggravating

    What word ? Whatnot ????

  • Evillene

All words are too big for T.I. He can only grunt.

  • ?Royalty?

I’m trying to figure out the problem with his statement.

He is absolutely right. When someone places false accusations against another, we never hear about these false accusers facing penalties from the State for their reckless behavior, or their wasteful strain on the justice system.

If a person comes forward with an accusation such of this and there is evidence that this person lied with obvious intent to defraud the justice system and harm another person – they need to face legal prosecution.

  • Evillene

That’s a question to ponder AFTER we know that the girl is lying. I presume T.I. wasn’t in the room with Nelly and this young woman so how can he know she is lying.

  • ?Royalty?

The wh!te girl who lied against Chris Brown was proven – by way of text messages from her friends – of her intent to falsely accuse Brown, which I believe resulted in his home being surrounded by police.
I’m no fan, but this was next level evil. She should have went to jail after she pulled that stunt or at the very least – ended up on probation – just like him.

  • Evillene

That sounds like statutory rape. A 13 year old cannot consent. Even if she was the age she lied about — 15 years old — that is below the age of consent in almost every state.

  • BacktolurkingIgo

It does happen but on the other hand women are afraid to report it too because of those who lie and fear of folks not believing it. Not saying she’s lying because I wasnt there I’d just hope that he’s the role model we’ve seen through the years.

I think women like this make it difficult for women who actually get raped for real and should be punished for falsely accusing someone of this crime.

Yeah, people can lie. But most of the accusations are true. It all depends on the the investigation. How much proof do you have? Can you back your claims? Why didn’t you go straight to the police when you were raped. Got physical evidence? DNA?

    Yup… Agreed

What is wrong with his statement? Nothing because he said the truth. Maybe these women cannot handle the truth. These women need to realize that when they are making these accusations they need to be true otherwise they can destroy lives. I am not saying that sexual assaults don’t occur look at Cosby by it should never be made up. If this keeps happening people are not going to take sexual assault seriously.

You need to go back and read what he said you idiot.

  • MARCUS

What did he say that was wrong? He spoke the truth and clearly you seem to think that it is okay to make false accusations against people. Explain to me why the girl has decided to drop the case against Nelly?

  • MARCUS

Why do you doubt it? Nelly has never been accused before unlike others I have heard of?

  • MARCUS

He is dear. They are still together.

No I don’t think it’s ok to make false accusations against anyone. How could you get that from what I said? She herself explained why she dropped the case. She was being harassed. Victims drop cases all the time because they cannot take the pressure of testifying and going through a trial. I was sexually abused and I don’t think I would have been able to face my predator in court. It’s a very scary situation to be in.
