Washington DC girl

Washington, DC police are searching for the parents or parent of a little girl found wandering alone in a D.C. neighborhood Tuesday morning.

The toddler was found wandering in the area of 5300 block of Chillum Place, NE, at approximately 9:40 a.m.

Police are asking the public for help identifying the toddler.

via WJLA — Police describe the child as a black female standing between 2-3 feet tall and weighing 30-35 pounds, with black hair in a ponytail, medium brown complexion and brown eyes. She was wearing a leopard print coat, pink sweatpants, and pink and gray shoes when she was found.

Police ask that anyone with information on the girl’s whereabouts call the Youth and Family Services Division at 202-576-6768, Command Information Center at 202-727-9099, investigator Jameson Lehn at 202-360-5002 or text 50411.

Update: The little girl’s mom has been found.
