Both of NBA star Kobe Bryant's jerseys, #8 and #24, were retired at a ceremony during halftime of the Golden State Warrios vs Lakers game at the Staples Center on Monday. Kobe, 39, retired in 2016 after a long stellar career with the Lakers.
At the start of the 2006 NBA season, Kobe changed his jersey number from 8 to 24 (his first jersey number at Lower Merion high school in Pennsylvania).
Kobe addressed the crowd at halftime as both his #8 and #24 Los Angeles Lakers jerseys were retired. Kobe was joined by his wife Vanessa and daughters Natalia, 14, Gianna, 11, and infant Bianka, 1.
Retired NBA stars Magic Johnson, left, Shaq O'Neal, Allen Iverson and more were on hand to celebrate Kobe's achievements. Kobe is seen below embracing Iverson, 42, during the ceremony.
Semi-retired boxer Floyd Mayweather, Jr, pictured top, tried to upstage Kobe by wearing a colorful Gucci shorts set. Also in attendance were actor Kevin Hart, Rodney and Holly Robinson-Peete, rapper Ice Cube, LaVar Ball, singer Adam Levine, and retired NBA stars Derek Fisher, Lamar Odom and Caron Butler.
