Djimon Hounsou takes his son Kenzo to tutoring

Actor Djimon Hounsou was spotted taking his son, Kenzo Lee Hounsou, 8, to his tutoring session on Tuesday in Hollywood. The 53-year-old actor unloaded Kenzo’s roller book bag as the two head up to the office. Kenzo needs a tutor to help him keep up with the other students in his grade level.

Kenzo spent the New Year in the Bahamas with his sisters, Aoki Lee and Ming Lee, and their father Russell Simmons. Kenzo’s mom is New York socialite Kimora Lee Simmons.

Another celebrity kid who had problems in school was Li’l Wayne‘s daughter Reginae Carter, pictured above in Miami with her dad and her 3 half brothers Cameron Carter, 8, Dwayne Carter III, 9, and Neal Carter, 8. Cameron’s mom is Lauren London; Dwayne’s mom is Sarah Vivan, and Neal’s mom is singer Nivea.

They say Reginae, 19, had difficulty reading as a student in private school in Atlanta.

Nae’s mom, Toya Johnson, pulled Reginae out of school and home schooled her which helped to improve her reading. Reginae’s application to Spelman College was reportedly declined, but she is now a student at Clark Atlanta University.
