Kourtney Kardashian takes Penelope and North Ice Skating in Central Park

Kourtney Kardashian, 38, was seen rushing through Los Angeles’s LAX airport a day after her 20-year-old half sister Kylie Jenner announced she had given birth to a girl. Kourtney took her daughter Penelope Disick and niece North West, 4, ice skating in Central Park after Kylie announced the birth of her baby girl on social media on Super Bowl Sunday. It isn’t clear when Kylie gave birth.

Kourtney was accompanied by a crew of bodyguards and nannies to help her watch over the girls.

Kourtney and the girls looked like they were having fun as Twitter.com and Instagram.com users reacted with frenzy to the news that Kylie had given birth.

In one post Kylie apologized to her social media followers for keeping her pregnancy hidden from the public for months. Some gossip mongers speculated that Kylie didn’t want fans to see her “old face” due to the fact that she couldn’t take lip fillers or Botox.

Still others believe Kylie and her mother, Kris Jenner, timed the birth announcement to compete with the Super Bowl — but it didn’t work.

Kylie posted a short video on Instagram.com showing her and the baby’s father, rapper Travis Scott, frolicking in the surf.

The video, which is part of a longer 12-minute video, is some sort of documentary detailing Kylie’s whereabouts over the previous 9 months.

The video garnered 43 million views and over 500,000 comments on Instagram.
