  • J2PC

Be a part of the solution. Why not start a book collection with a summer date in mind to pass out such books to underserved students? -let every problem have it’s own specific solution, date, time & place.

Too many Black folks can’t get anywhere because they are programmed to start finding fault or conditioned to stymy any positive efforts by kitchen-sinking. -throwing in pots & pans in a sink filled with glasses aka that which is irrelevant.

Those are the same Black folks that cry about not seeing enough Black worthwhile cartoons, positive Black hero movies, etc. compared to the White & Asian movies that become winning blockbuster movies.

  • hottlanta

Ben Hill ain’t heard that in a long time. Traffic out there is CRAZY!!!!! Have fun.

  • hottlanta

I know right. Did they pass out books after Fried Green Tomatoes.

  • hottlanta

It is just a movie. Can we just see it and enjoy it DAYUMM. Folks gotta always be extra when it comes to us.

  • hottlanta

I remember that time my Lil Hots pissed me off by fighting and I had some New Edition tickets. I said yall ain’t going so I left. I called them back to see where they still fighting when I got downtown. They had stopped and met me downtown. They were like dayum she left. Don’t waste my money or time because I was ready to give those 2 tickets to 2 deserving kids. They laugh about that to this day.

  • J2PC

Not just a movie. They finally took the time & invested millions of $$$ to create a Black Movie filled with Black Heroes for Black folks who have spent a lifetime only seeing, hearing and watching Whites & Asian heroes.

-since a number of Black children are from a poor household, someone is footing the bill so that they can go see a good Black movie for free. Otherwise, there is the argument of creating something where Black folks are spending $$$ meant for their bills on a movie that their children really want to see.

  • Neicey

TICKETS Already gone. TI not even here. They gave the first 80 people n line raffle tickets and that’s it. It’s over. The first people been here since 9am

  • hottlanta

A lot of black kids are not from poor households. A white superhero on the screen had nothing to do with me educating myself that we are greater than that. Just like folks trying to pass Beyoncé Lemonade album as a black history lesson. I am not gonna let you or no one else reduce my culture to a 2 hour superhero movie. We are much more than that. I am sick of people telling us how/where to spend our money/how we should act/what to do when it comes to us but wouldn’t dare to other races like that when it is something about them.

  • MsPam

I’m part of the solution trust me! I volunteer to tutor, read and teach art to underserved students at my job and outside of it! This movie will only give them a few hours of feel good feelings and back to the real world. Knowledge will last them a life time!

  • Queen B

Oh shît lol it aint that serious i can buy them

  • Queen B

    Lol I know thats right!!!

  • MsPam

Because this movie ain’t going to put money in their pockets, food on their tables, education will! Only putting money in the YT pockets and then black folks wondering why there’s a wealth gap between blacks and every other ethnicity. Even the one coming over the walls have more money than black folks. We’re at the bottom! Did I answer your question Queen D?!

  • J2PC

Many are so poorly raised that they can only communicate or get through the, if given special handshakes with their teachers, allowed to twerk & whatever else in class, while being taught their lesson via a rap. -that within itself says that those kids are different and not like the other normal kids across this nation and world. The number of Blacks on Free school lunches via SNAP approval proves the statistics.

Um, within the “Black Population,”6 out of every 9 Black are on some type gov’t assistance. Why is it that when we say everyone needs to show their IDs to vote, the demo crats always allude to ‘them picking on the po Black folks?’

Out of all people only the Black folks cannot afford to a type of ID?? Yet, they the same ones can show one to apply for SNAP; Housing, a job, buy liquor, cigarettes, pick up their Western Union funds, cash a check, buy a used vehicle, etc.. -but, somehow ONLY the Blacks are too poor to be like the rest of society and have an ID!

  • Queen B

Ok im not go even head that way then imma visit target and go home

  • hottlanta

Please read below and get back with me since you spend a lot of time researching on how d black folks are doing.

Shows your ignorance and how far off you are linking that disturbing BS that is far removed from me. You can find equally the same crap about any given ethnicity. Look at the Black father in NJ. http://crimefeed.com/2017/08/32057/

    What about this one? http://www.nj.com/passaic-county/index.ssf/2013/08/i_was_in_a_nightmare_impregnated_by_her_father_five_times_east_orange_woman_forges_forward.html

  • J2PC

Good! My point is the Black community was starting to blast Disney just like Nike Jordans for making something that is out reach for a number of Black children from poor or struggling families. -knowing that they would want to see the movie too just like all of their classmates, Disney, Walmart, Celebs have done some poor Black folks a favor by allowing them to view the screening for free!!

Just like Jesus said: the poor will ALWAYS be among you. lol

The movie is only for just 2hrs in their life where many have not been inside a movie theatre in years unless it was provided by a school for free. Otherwise, most of them would use those 2hrs time to twerk their way to negative statistics, if not wasting time on social media, playing violent video games; or rapping to profane or violent hateful lyrics, etc. -instead of reading a book or studying for ACT/SAT exam for colleges. Just keeping it real.

We’re talking just 2hrs of day out of a whole year. Knowledge for each of those individuals will be based on what is put in them via their parent(s); family members, church and community alike to help guide & raise them properly. -if they are dysfunctional, misguided derelicts blame the folks who raised them. ijs

  • hottlanta

How bout this one. Got all night. Dayum shame to have sex with a dead body because a live body won’t have you.

  • hottlanta

Booooogie. Always one to show off. You know we bringing grandmamma and them the whole family.

  • J2PC

Whatever you’re wasting time sending…please know that there are plenty of matching news stories in different ethnicities with the crime. -that is about that particular individual’s flawed character. One person’s sin and crime will never represent of ALL people. -generalizing, stereotyping reflect ignorance & a narrow mind. smh

  • hottlanta

So when something is negative about a white person it is that one individual but when there is something negative about a black person that is the whole race by using words like most/many or all. Can’t have it both ways.

  • Queen B

No….you’re at the bottom of the totem pole my dear dont speak for all black ppl. There are a plethora of successful black ppl especially here in Atlanta. And why does everything always have to tie back into education and books. Stop tryna b the dark cloud on these ppl parade stfu and let ppl enjoy this damn movie with cho debbie downer depressed azz ? • MsPam

I wasn’t speaking for all black ppl Queen Dummy, I’m not going to argue with you because you are the one that need some education. I work with kids that are not reading at their grade level, if you think kids need a movie more than a education your part of the problem. Country Bumpkin!

  • 5000BlinK

Even the cousins that dont wear shoes…..

  • Queen B

I work with children too that have intellectual disabilities and mental health diagnosis u duance ? I NEVER said a movie was more important than education however, why are u bringing it up as if they are wrong for giving free tickets for families to enjoy themselves ? I like i said ur depressed and u need some dîck in ya life. It aint even that serious u trying to rain on ppls parade talking about a fvckin book like thats gonna help the problem smh
