Beyonce and JAY-Z at 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards

JAY-Z and his wife Beyonce seemed to confirm rumors of a joint World Tour this weekend. The 49-year-old rapper and the 38-year-old burlesque singer appeared to announce — then retract the blockbuster tour news.

Variety.com reports that the tour was announced on Beyonce’s Facebook and Ticketmaster pages on Sunday.

Both sites announced a date for the tour kickoff — on July 30 at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field. But both posts were quickly deleted. Complex.com captured a screen shot of Beyonce’s Facebook page before it vanished.

Fans of the couple were thrilled with the apparent confirmation of the rumored tour. Beyonce outshined her old man on DJ Khaled‘s “Top Off” single featuring rapper Future.

On the single, Beyonce seemed to throw daggers at comedienne Tiffany Haddish (for running her mouth too much) and Kim Kardashian.

Fans of the power couple expect to pay hundreds of dollars per ticket, but not to see JAY-Z. His recent tour was a complete failure, as tickets went unsold at many of his tour stops.

JAY-Z was forced to cancel tour dates due to empty seats that could not be concealed behind black curtains.

Hopefully, Beyonce’s tour will stop in Atlanta.
