Tyler Perry Tiffany Haddish

Tyler Perry is hopping on the Tiffany Haddish bandwagon. Haddish scored her Hollywood breakthrough when she landed the part of Dina in Will Packer's Girls Trip, also starring Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Regina Hall.

Now, Haddish is set to appear alongside Tika Sumpter and Omari Hardwick in Tyler Perry's next movie project, The List.

According to Deadline.com, the 38-year-old comedienne and actress will play a woman who gets released from prison and reunites with her sister Danica, who discovers she is in an online relationship with a man that may be "catfishing" her.

Haddish is quickly cementing herself as a major star, becoming the first black female stand-up comedian to host Saturday Night Live last November and releasing her memoir, The Last Black Unicorn, the following month.

She is currently working on Ike Barinholtz's comedy-thriller The Oath and recently wrapped on new TBS sitcom, The Last O.G., which also features Tracy Morgan and Cedric the Entertainer.

But life isn't all peaches and cream for the California native. Haddish is rubbing some stars the wrong way, such as Beyonce Knowles who called her out in a verse on DJ Khaled's "Top Off" for running her mouth about Bey's husband, JAY-Z.

  • Jahnée Gill Mr.Eddie Murphy??

Tiffany Haddish is the female Kevin Heart.

  • Noirluv45

I'm happy for Tiffany. I remember first seeing her on "Whose Got Jokes." She's come a long way. I can see why she would rub some people the wrong way. She has no filters at all. She's just gonna be who she is. I was shocked when she revealed that story about what Beyonce did.

  • KISSmyENTIREass

Her and Cardi kinda getting on my nerves..

  • You Could Never

I like this girl. She got recognition WAY later than the norm. But she doing big things and I am happy for her! After this Bey thing I doubt we will be hearing too many of her celeb run in stories tho lol.

  • Tawaii

Agree. Both are being laughed at instead of laughing with them.

  • PLEASEDontTellMe

Does anyone watch the show " 2 DOPE Queens" on HBO? If you do, what do you think about the content and the two female comedians

  • Yoni7

    Congratulations, Gurl!

  • PLEASEDontTellMe

laughed at? how so? and who?

  • Yoni7

    Why exactly?

  • Yoni7

    Laughed at why?

  • Jahnée Gill Mr.Eddie Murphy??

Tiffany is a clown. She's a walking stereotype. Her being attractive is actually what's stopping most people from seeing it. She isn't funny. All she doing is playing the stereotypical " black woman" sassy, loud, overly sexual, materialistic etc. You can be funny with out being a clown and or a caricature. The black woman from SNL is guilty of the same thing. She gets called out for it though because she isn't attractive to the majority.

  • You Could Never

    Working I guess. Maybe breathing.

  • KISSmyENTIREass

They everywhere.. And where ever they at they loud and animated... I'm a fan of both tho.. They need a Xanax

  • free

there are the hart/epps/tucker comedians and the rock/chapelle/murphy comedians so she falls into the former for me.

  • shun king

nothing more than slim aunt jemina ...making black women look ghettofied and so many think this is "cute" and keeping it "real" when did low class ignorant coonish behavior become something to be proud of? and white people just love to see her put on a show

  • iWasteTime

Did you start with the PodCast or is the show your introduction to the ladies?

  • Yoni7

I thought that was what the entertainment industry was about, to be seen AND heard. But ok.

  • Yoni7

GIRL! Making money is an issue if you do. It's an issue if you don't. EYE YI YI!

  • Jahnée Gill Mr.Eddie Murphy??

Mike Epps is so damn corny to me, ugh! I can't stand his ass. He isn't funny to me. I'm surprised he made it as far as he did with his corny jokes. I guess everyone has their audience.

  • Kayke

I have yet to see the hype. I feel like we're being punk'd. Like they are propelling the worst of our talent pool to the top so globally folks are like "thats all they got?". She is the Cardi B of comedy.

  • Mia Said so

Don't even ask please who cares. Love when woman are getting it. Super duper happy for my ladies

  • KcoolMuziq

Both are funny for no reason.

  • You Could Never

Folks went to bat for Mo'nique's formerly fat ass these past few weeks here. Now this girl is too loud, brash, over the top, etc and basically IS Nikki Parker/Mo when she was on her I hate fat bishes shtick...yet its an issue for Tiffany to do it.

    *logs out from confusion*

  • free

he was cute back in the day; that's the only reason i paid any attention to him.

  • Yoni7

I'm just curious, but this person stated their "reason" why.

    See below.

  • Trey

I wonder how long her act will last....

  • iWasteTime

    Girl! lol

  • Ryan

I see Hollyweird's ramping up the folks who are loud and ignorant to try to counteract Black Panther and other films coming out soon. No offense to Tiffany but we all know what kind of sht Ms. Perry puts out.

  • KISSmyENTIREass

I don't really care for him too. but he was funny in Friday lol

  • Alicia.Ashe

Congrats to her and I’m going to check out all of them.

  • KISSmyENTIREass

u right... I just have a lot of those types in my family. as I get older it get easier to get in my nerves. ugh I'm turning into my grandparents

  • OvertheMississippi

That's all she wrote -- literally!!

  • Bee jaay Cee

They forget to mention she was first on Kevin Hart's "Husbands of Hollywood", which was very a funny show most of the time. She had a small role. Glad to see I'm not the only person who is not amused with her loud, ghetto portrayal of black women.

  • Bee jaay Cee

    Me too!

  • Jahnée Gill Mr.Eddie Murphy??

I grew up. I was a child during Moniques skinny women are evil days. She was so funny to me and I related to her as a fat kid. Now as an adult watching the Parkers, I see Nikki was a desperate, no self worth having, sad hot mess. I now have eyes to see the bull and I don't like it. She was funny, but she spent most of her time stalking a man that didn't want her. Don't get me wrong I still think the shows funny but I can see the heavely played up stereotypes. They're cringe worthy and messed up. So now when I see a spade, I call it out. Not hating on Tiffany getting money. No reason too ,there's enough out there for everyone. I'm just calling a spade a damn spade.

  • Kayke

They should've just named the movie "shucking and jiving".

  • Bee jaay Cee

My thoughts exactly. I'm a queen, not a buffoon and I hate to see our woman stooping to minstrel performance for de white man.

  • Desiree Edwards

This is great news! So happy for her she has been grinding for a long time!

  • hi-liter

Elf the haters...yes Tiffany is loud and unapologetic, but seems Authentic and TRUE to who she is....that's why her and Cardi B are winning these days.....people like authenticity. It's way too much fake shat going on these days.

  • You Could Never

Mo was loud and extra as recently as her BET talk show. Few instances since even then. But she is normally allowed to be just her loud ass extra self. I just question why Tiffany isnt. *shrug*

  • justlooking
  • Karen Brady

Husbands of Hollywood was pretty damn funny to me. Is it finished? :-(

  • Karen Brady

    LOLLL

  • Karen Brady

Well if Nene Leakes' act has lasted this long....

  • MsChocCookie

horrible dress!! for a tired, boring, comedian!!

  • HalleMerry

Sounds just like the Steve Martin and Queen Latifah movie...similar plots.

  • Noirluv45

Lawd, I still wonder what she's good for. It doesn't take much to make it big in this day and age. One reality show, loud talking, chair throwing, chicken necking sister is all it takes. I'm not sure if Nene was like that, but so many of there are.

  • HalleMerry

I like her as a comedienne, but ALL of her comedy specials have the EXACT same jokes...Foster kid, dress, crazy girlfriend,etc... she needs new material.

  • shun king

as long as she is profitable to the white supremacists and/or their agenda of making blacks look like fools

  • Karen Brady

Definitely corny and for me he's neck in neck with the CORNY AZZ WAYANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • PLEASEDontTellMe

My first introduction was through the Bill Maher show

  • Jahnée Gill Mr.Eddie Murphy??

I'm not a Monique stan. I'm not a fan of clowns. Which is why I don't care for Perry, Heart, Haddish , Epps, ect. They're corny and play up stupid stereotypes for money. That's their bread and butter. They're not funny outside of being caricatures. Excellent comedians can switch it up. They don't stick to the same tired buffoonery. I'm all for getting money but it's my right to not support people I don't care for . That's all. No ones hating/ there's no so called hating over here. All skin folk ain't my kin folk.

  • Karen Brady

You hit it right on the head sis.. just swap out chair throwing for damn near strangling her 'friend' in Nene's case. SMH.

  • http://ebonynsweet.com Ebony N’ Sweet

I can't stand that girl lol.. She annoying.

  • Marlika

    This movie sounds dumb.?

Just like all the dumb asses who get mad when people say they do NOT like Tiffany and make excuses for her ignorant behavior. ???????

  • JRock

I'm all for people working and getting paid anyway they can if it's legal. I was channel surfing and came upon a comedy special she was on and I wanted to see for myself what the hype was about and a-rum it's a hello and goodbye to no. This chick is NOT FUNNY. She is so stereotypical. It was pathetic. When she walked on stage and opened her mouth you knew her gaucherie (sound it out gau·che·rie, and no it's not designer clothing), was going to be ALL THE WAY UP. She was loud, uncouth, ghetto as hell and cussed too much as if cussing made her funny. She is not even close to being funny. That's my opinion for those who undoubtedly will once again overuse the words "you hating on a black woman". Stop it. Think about it and take your time out first. Your opinion is your opinion and my opinion is mine and she ain't funny.

  • You Could Never

Comment wasnt just for you. Majority of those folks who upvoted your original comment however? Were the exact same Mo stans who feel as if her one serious acting role which by accident won her an Oscar... should qualify her for higher pay. When she TOO did the following for 25 years:

"play up stupid stereotypes for money. That's their bread and butter. They're not funny outside of being caricatures."

  • You Could Never

    *Wasnt just for you

  • Shawty

She getting that money. I guess you have to strike while the iron is hot!

  • Noirluv45

    SMH right with you, sis.

  • datjerk

Yea, I saw one of her specials too. I don't get the hype at all.

  • JRock

    Right. She is so overrated.

  • Dr. P

Haddish is rubbing some stars the wrong way, such as Beyonce Knowles who called her out in a verse on DJ Khaled‘s “Top Off” for running her mouth about Bey’s husband, JAY-Z.

    ____________________________________________

She ain't rubbing them too wrong because she was at their Oscar party

  • Noirluv45

Strike and save because nothing's guaranteed.

  • Jahnée Gill Mr.Eddie Murphy??

You're right. She started out as the fat loud black woman. She never strayed from that until she got her Oscar. Had she switched it up years prior her ass wouldn't be looking suspect now.

  • Applebum

A Tyler Perry film is perfect for her. She’ll fit right in with tacky Medea. She’s not funny. Same dry materials.

Last night I was talking to a friend about something and I compared her to Cardi B. I don’t understand how people like and can stand Cardi B but people can’t stand this Tiffany chick. They’re both the same to me. They both loud, obnoxious, and corny.

  • Applebum

    ???

  • KcoolMuziq

Whatever U may say about Epps comedy stand up. He has developed into a good serious actor. Which I feel is his real calling.

  • Applebum

Right on. I’ve compared her to Cardi B as well. She’s the Cardi B of comedy. ????

  • Mrs. S. Kidd

To be fair Auntie, Tyler Perry worked with Tiffany Haddish long before she was *known*. She was on one season of "If Loving You Is Wrong". The person who jumped on her bandwagon is Ms. Oprah Winfrey. And she did it to make both Mo'Nique and Mizz Tyler mad lol

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

She was? Who let her in? ?

  • You Could Never
  • Sally Wright McLinn

She's becoming overexposed and overworked IMO. I know she said she wanted to buy a building so she could house her mom and siblings, but this is toooo much overexposure and over working.

  • Hugga Bunch

Mike is better in dramatic roles surprisingly, have you seen Bessie? Like you, I've always felt he was corny or tried to hard, but in more serious roles, he does a 180- he can be a little sexy too.

  • Sally Wright McLinn

Tiff has been entertaining since she's 15. Read her book. She's good with saving money.

  • Mrs. S. Kidd

When Black folks come from poverty, this is what happens. They get overworked and used up until they are no longer in vogue.

  • Sally Wright McLinn

    Wasn't Monique the same way?

  • Mrs. S. Kidd

Wrong. She's not as bad as Kevin Hart. He's just plain terrible lol

  • My 2 boys

I agree with everything you stated. The only thing I want to add is is that regardless if we find her funny or entertaining there is a market out there for her type of comedy, not mine per say. But I must say it is always good to see a black woman make it considering all the obstacles we face on a daily. Moving forward hopefully someone will take her under their wing so that she will be less gaucherie...by the way thanks for the word of the day.

  • KarmaBackAround

We so hard on our own people..we just can't seem to be happy for our own kind and show support smh..congrats to this black woman on her achievements

  • My 2 boys

I so appreciate your opinion. Because regardless if you like her guess what someone loves her which is why her success is rising.

  • Coy little wink

I find her back story inspirational...she has perservered thru a lot now its her time ?

  • ???TheRider???

If she was, it's because she's hot right now. The Carters always get close to who's currently happening.

  • ???TheRider???

1st season was funny, every one after Robin left was a snoooze fest.

  • Yes, I Said That

Not all money and fame is good or healthy for you. She and Tiffany gotta find their convictions fast and learn how to apply them in the entertainment industry so they don't become stereotypes and not taken seriously. Even Prince had regrets and tried to warn the next generation. I like Cardi but she is getting on my last nerve. She is messing up by hitching her success to Offset. Offset is in debt, multiple baby mama's, especially since they announced their quicky engagement (hopefully it's a business arrangement because in real life a lady would run from Offset). It's reported Offset took out an AEG Entertainment loan (yeah, the same AEG that screwed up Michael Jackson) and now Quavo may face jail time trying to strong arm Offset's jewler that was owed debts. Cardi might be pregnant from Offset. If she don't get a reality grip fast and if Offset doesn't clean up his debt, she'll become Mary J. Blige and Kendu but with kids. Take the kid Cardi and run.

Cardi has achieved her dream but she's not thinking. If she marries Offset, she will be responsible for paying his child support to all of those baby Mama's (hopefully, the prenup will state otherwise). Rapper money isn't always long money! She could have taken her time, learned the business, have responsible fun, and later linked up with a real baller/shot caller like a producer, executive or just a regular loving guy without all the baby mama drama. Having sex on Snapchat wasn't cute and posing for that magazine cover with all those little minority girls while profusely stating her music ain't for kids (noticed there were no little white girls in the photo). She should look at Rosi Perez's career and see how Rosie got from the street all the way to Broadway, married a regular guy and fiercely takes a stance for Puerto Rican justice and even walked away from The View because she new it wasn't right. Not all money and fame is good or healthy for you. She and Tiffany gotta find their convictions fast and learn how to apply them so they don't become stereotypes and not taken seriously. They don't want to be the ones that gain the whole white world but be shunned by their own for being used and abused when they didn't have to be.

  • ???TheRider???

She's just not funny to me. She was cool in Girl's Trip, but her voice is annoying. The Last OG with Tracy Morgan will be boring af. He's not funny, she's not funny, it'll be a shitshow for real.

  • ?Royalty?

This is why I avoid a lot of "us".

We have to deal with that from others, we shouldn't have to deal with it from our own too. SMH?????

  • KarmaBackAround

Yes its sad but true..black folk sickening on how bad we judge and critique or own..thats why it's so hard for blacks to get ahead n Hollywood (or in life period). Not cause of no damn oscars..but because of our own audience!

  • Knocked Kneed and Pigeon Toed

Although I don't find her to be funny on her own, I'm not mad at her success. Shes been thru alot so I'm glad she's seeing a different side of life. She does seems burnt out a little already, almost like she's not ready for all this fame. What I realize about today's day and age is that as long as you play into negative stereotypes about black people you will become a star. But you gotta take every opportunity because eventually they run out.

I will still say that Sommore is one of the funniest black female stand up comedians EVER!! IF you have not seen "The Queen Stands Alone" or "Chandalier Status" you are missing out. She is hella funny. Yes hella.

  • Toni Toni Toni

Yup!! THAT PAWT!!! I wish her Well!
And Cardi B! Any one who is winning and monetizing their CRAFT deserves it! It's Legal and legit so CRUSH it BLACK PEOPLE! Do ya THANG!

  • Noirluv45

    That's good to hear.

  • Soon2BWife

Dumbing down of black people. I sat in Girl Trip like an Alien. It just wasn’t funny to me and women were literally choking between stuffing their mouths with popcorn and biggie sized drinks. I didn’t get it.

  • Yes, I Said That

But we can't cosign everything. The American entertainment industry has a terrible history when it comes to black representation. They love to see us as animalistic, the whole world sees us as sub human. There is even a resurgance of blackface again (see Japan, China, and Latin American TV shows), it's not a coincidence because the world knows we as blacks don't stick together to call out bad representation. We are just hungry for any representation, even if it's sterotypical. Ask yourself why are the only 2 mainstream black female rappers (Nicki & Cardi) have such hypersexual and violent lyrics? Why isn't there a mainstream black female rapper that adds another perspective? Why isn't there a Jewish or White modern signer or rapper with violent or hypersexual content? There will never be a Jewish or White singer or rapper like that because they won't tolerate that type of music/image for their girls and women. They see us as degenerates, just good for entertaining them. Why has ititaken so long for us to haveca young mainstream female commic? Why aren't advertisements for H&M, Dove, and others only being racially insensitive to blacks not Jews or Whites? Because we are easy targets because we can't get our community together, our outrage doesn't last.

All I'm saying is that I want every black person in the entertainment industry to put their best possible self forward. Aretha, Tina, Gladys, Diana, Lena, Bessie and others went thru the back door, took less pay, and withstood terrible racism so we don't have to today. Their sacrifices are not licenses for the next generation to act like fools and to be tools for "The Powers That Be" to reinforce negative stereotypes. That's why Viola Davis, Kerry Washington, and other woke sisters are saying no more. Those talented black women are on hit tv shows, carry themselves with dignity but still can't get equal pay and jobs so they rather start their own production companies than sell out for a check. Today, they choose positive or talent building roles instead of degrading roles. Our younger sisters need to do the same.

  • Phyllis

Good Job. I’m so Proud of this Sista and her Success. Shine on Tiffany!!!

  • Applebootay

I was on here the other day going in, but I digress, Everybody keep saying she's not funny, she's loud, she's overexposed, she's this, she's that...OKAY, its one thing to not like her comedy. I personally think she has some room for growth in that area. However, there are negative sterotypes and positive sterotypes...Some of us are loud...that's not necessarily a bad thing, there's a time and a place...like if you a MF Star Celebrity and a Comedian....you can be whoever TF you want when you in front of the cameras, on and off stage....there's not just one way to be BLACK...white folks are allowed to do whatever TF they want to....as soon as we start being our true authentic selves, here come the crabs....

  • imright

Tyler is petty af ??? Tiffany is willing to play the game so she will go far !!! ?????

  • KarmaBackAround

Point well taken..but let's not act like people are breaking necks to offer blacks roles in the first place ..so I think alot of the times we accept roles to get to better rewarding roles such as what we seen in the black panther movie. It's like the real world black woman..we may not always do what we Want to but we always do what we Have to..she just wants a chance at hollywood and sad to say but we have to take those roles that may not be liked or accepted by everyone first, before us as black reap the rewards of better roles.

  • Applebootay

ASK yourself, who TF created these sterotypes? WHITE PEOPLE.....it's time we start RECREATING our own....Yes, some of us are LOUD, BLACK and Proud....(WTF is that a problem?) I disagree with your whole point on "We are hungry for " we not hungry for anything....we are coming up.....winning oscars and shit.... I SO HATE THAT....be quiet, stay in yo place less massuh gone get you....Some of us are loud, some of us aren't, So what, we are HUMAN....We all have all different types of personalities...and to stay in context....She is an COMEDIAN....not running for damn congress....I'm so tired of .......F it....I'm out.

  • Yoni7

That would be too much like right for some. And they ain't there yet.

  • KarmaBackAround

I really think she is putting her best foot forward..if hood, spontaneous and whitty gets her a role..who are we to say I want more out of you..ANY job comes with growth and she just needs growth to become a well rounded actress..but I will not and can not say she is a bad actress.

  • You Could Never

  • Yoni7

Too much overworking for WHO? Maybe your work ethic is not the same as hers? You might be fine with punching a clock. Maybe see's not. Who makes that judgement call that she wants better for her family, so she doesn't mind overworking to get what SHE WANTS. Sheesh!

  • Yoni7

  • KarmaBackAround

Exactly..Mexicans take care of Mexicans..whites do for whites..but us black folk will put each other down before anyone else can

  • Quitedeliteful

I'm happy for her. I've only seen her in Girls Trip so I look forward to seeing her in this...

  • Jessica

Keep your mouth shut Tiffany and make your money while you can. Happy for ya!!

  • Applebootay

LIES!! No one is calling Kevin loud, ignorant and ghetto.......He's either funny or not...but when a Woman does the same thing a man does....it gets flipped....like a guy can sleep with 100 girls and he's just being a guy but when a female does it, she's a hoe....GTFOH.

  • Yes, I Said That

But when will us taking the straps for acceptance stop. There are too many resources out there now a days for us to get successful without "The Powers That Be". Many black women have successful Podcasts, online only sitcoms, and are doing it big in music with just SoundCloud, YouTube and local night club singing gigs. Eventually "The Powers That Be" come knocking with HBO deals, record deals, and endorsement deals; however, once mainstream gets their hands on it, they ruin it.

Mainstream entertainmnt rarely matches what's really going on in black lives. In reality, black women are enrolled in college/tech schools more than any other race and black women own more businesses than ever before. We are holding down multiple jobs to take care of our families as positively as we can. We aren't daily/hourly jumping across tables to fight and cuss everybody and their mamma out. If we see women that do, we want better for them. I think the reason there is so little space for black women in the mainstream is because, ultimately, many of us don't want to be degraded. We've come too far to go backwards and are too street smart, aware of racism and sexism to conform to a negative stereotype/situation just for a dollar and a fraction of white woman's success.

  • Owww76

I see what you saying but at least Tiffany has some kind of talent. She does need to brush up her comedy a bit, that ghetto loud talking schtick can only go far. Cardi b and her Hooked On Phonics rap delivery is cringe worthy! How the the hell she is "Hot" i dont know!

Yep n it's sad..like foreal..its so hard for one black to congratulate another..it's sad

  • KarmaBackAround

I've seen both Oprah and taraji not to mention sooo many others that had "degrading roles". Taraji was butt naked and ratchet on baby boy now she's on top..oprah cursed and carried on in color purple yet she's OPRAH. I really believe this tiffany haddish issue is not because of the roles she frequently potrays..but again because blacks jus don't support each other.

  • Skin Deep Beauty

Exactly. And why folk think any body is worried about Beyonce... Oh please! Stop with tryna give that lonely no child ho,od having child POWER! Beyonce is like the girl who wish she could have control of her own life. Po THANG!

  • Yes, I Said That

Tiffany is just starting out and has access to black veteran actresses for guidance, so she'll be ok. I liked her in Keanu and she was good at playing the street smart ex-wife on the Carmichael show. I was sad to hear that Jerrod didn't want her on the show (black women representation problem may lay at the feet of black men in the industry). I like how she's taking care of her family. I just want her to play the entertainment industry game smart because it's so easy to get caught up. They already want us to just smile and go fetch. I just want her and other young stars like Cardi to use their new found success for positivity for themselves and eventually the world. I don't want them to be afraid to get great industry advice from veteran actors and use that advice to help them avoid the all too common black fame pitfalls. Zendaya, Amandal and other young stars are picking projects of substance, speaking out about injustice, and putting their best self forward. It can be done and I look forward to see Tiffany's future work.

  • Mrs. S. Kidd

Since you asked, I have noticed a new crop of Black celeb kids who appear to work when they want to and not because they need the money like a Haddish type. Names such as: The Simmons kids (Diggy, Angela, etc), Romeo Miller, Reginae Carter, Zonnique, All of Diddy's kids, etc, etc. Most of them do reality shows, start careers in fashion, music or theater (movies and TV shows).

They are not overworked because they don't need the money as badly.

  • YouWontSayItButIWill

Uhhhh...I am happy for her success as a black woman...but this girl is FAR FROM FUNNY. If anything she is over the top, loud, ghetto, and just ratchet. However, if you act just like her and Kevin Hart...and feed into white people's image of black culture..you will rise to the top as well. Black people love making fools of themselves for fame and money. Congrats Tiff...

They are trying so hard to make her moniques replacement, she is not nearly as naturally talented or naturally beautiful and im not trying to be petty with the last part. Im sick of her already. She appears to have come out of nowhere at least to me. This wont help Monique fail and i pray Oprah never becomes president but Donald has set a precedent for foolishness so who knows. Watch them give her a Netflix special smh

  • Makes sense

Yes Monique is beautiful! Well not so much anymore, but she used to be gorgeous. People try to play her about her looks and I’m like, what?????

Tiffany has the look of a drunk! I believe she drinks hard liquor throughout the day and would get the tremors if she didn’t. When she explains her ratchet behavior, thinking it’s cute, it sounds like stuff only a drunk would do.

Tiffany sure doesn’t have Monique’s talent either.

  • Unhappy American

SMH ? OVERRATED AF NOT FUNNY MY OPINION NO JUST NO

  • Rodmilla De Ghent

you can so tell what they are doing too lol, Monique making too much noise for them she probably got real dirt on their ass and i think ALL of them feel guilt for what they've done to her. Oprah out here giving away free shit, girl bye.

  • Mrs.Meenie

I can appreciate Tiffany’s struggles and her rise up but that girl is exhausting I can barely sit and listen to her for 5 minutes let alone watch a whole movie...thus why i still haven’t watched Girls Trip. I’m super chil and people who are always on 1000 trying to be funny all the time like Tiffany disrupts my vibe. Being funny is natural with Tiffany it just seems forced and in some cases with her a bit cringe worthy.

  • NeverSurprised

    Brilliantly stated!!

  • Jahnée Gill Mr.Eddie Murphy??

Huh? What are you talking about? Kevin Heart is loud, obnoxious and corny. Most people don't find him or his antics funny. He and Tiffany are one and the same.

  • Stacey J

See Monique...this is how you capitalize on being in a successful movie. Tiffany Haddish gets on my nerves sometimes with the over the top, ghetto vibe but she it taking advantage and striking while the iron is hot....do you girl and get your money.

  • Look@m3

This is a breath of fresh air. Glad to know I wasn't the only one thinking this....

  • Sally Wright McLinn

OT: Tiffany at the Essence award https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqF3lp8i2eg

  • NeverSurprised

It's a modern day minstrel show, nothing more. But even the minstrels were funnier than Tiffany.

  • NeverSurprised

How on earth was Oprah's role in Color Purple degrading??? She played a woman who refused to accept her husband beating her, fought back and kicked his behind. Later, she went to prison for standing up to a white woman in an age when to do so meant you would be punished. She eventually survived prison and came home to her family.

The Sofia character was an ode to the resilience and fortitude of black women. The criticism of Haddish isn't about any ROLE. She is putting on a public minstrel show to make white people laugh . She is doing so in REAL LIFE, not as a character.

Conversely, in HER real life, Oprah is an elegant, eloquent mogul who is revered because she is not cooning and speaking in ebonics just to get a paycheck. There is no comparison between these two women.

  • Yoni7

Sadly......and FOR NO REASON! I could see if they stabbed a elderly person or fukked with some kids or something. Then yeah, I hate you. But she ghetto and loud and xyz? Nah son.

  • Louisville Is4TheBirds

*squints* *puts on glasses* Debbie Downer, is that you?

  • KarmaBackAround

Missed my whole point but ok!

  • Karen Brady

    All of this!

  • Karen Brady

:-(... hit or miss I'd say. I guess it was time to end it now that I think about it.

  • Applebootay

Yes, you're saying that but who's calling him that? Women or Men? MOSTLY Women, we do shat on a different level....women always tearing down another women....All this shat about not being able to get a job acting like that...I AINT NEVER HEARD THAT in regards to ANY MAN...but we women, we apply these BS white men socialistic standards to each other. We GO IN on each other...its 99.99% women on this blog, men half the time will have an opinion but won't say anything...women are judgemental and a fking trip...I actually would probably be ok if it was mostly the opinion coming from men but its black women who tear down other black women....smh

  • Jahnée Gill Mr.Eddie Murphy??

    Stop gaslighting.

You're looking for an argument, when there isn't one. You're throwing out assumptions and broad generalizations. I've made plenty of other comments on this post, yet you're stuck on this one? Have fun arguing and taking to yourself.

  • Applebootay

I don't need to argue. I'm not looking for anything...but I guess when you've been shut down...your resort to using trendy terms for the sake of trying to sound cool. I'm replying to your REPLY so nice try....I'm the master of seeing through BS so you already lost. Bye Felicia!

  • Jahnée Gill Mr.Eddie Murphy??

You didn't shut anyone down, you're looking for an argument. Trendy? WTF are you talking about? Stop talking out of your ass. You don't know me yet you're mad I compared corny Kevin to corny Tiffany. You feel because she's a black woman I should love her. GTFOH with that bull! Like I said in my other post all skin folk ain't my kin folk. Not everything boils down to gender. She's corny, because she's got damn corny. That's my opinion and you and you faux self righteous ass will deal! How's that for trendy? Clown!

  • Applebootay

I never said you had to like or love her...you should like her because she's a black woman, living her best life, being her true authentic self....put some respect on her name....that's all....you keep twisting my words to make a point, . I'm not mad at all... nothing here to give that kind of energy to. You're an indoctrinated coon and I have no more energy for you. <>

  • Bee jaay Cee

We are not monolithic. So why do we all have to vote democratic, agree about everything, like every black star, not critique black talent? We have a right to like or dislike anyone and anything without being referred to by that silly clique....crabs in a barrel.

  • Bee jaay Cee

I have been watching it on Netflix so I don't know when it stopped. Didn't know that Auntie Fee was on there before she passed and Robin Thicke was back on..

  • Jaitlyn_Kenner

She looks dirty. Get a stylist post haste!

  • Jaitlyn_Kenner

    And looks dirty
