President Trump finally tweeted about Candace Owens, saying the black conservative is having a “big impact” on American politics.
Owens, 28, gained overnight blew up on social media after rap producer Kanye West said he liked the way she thinks in a tweet 2 weeks ago.
Reddit.com users — who were among the first to sing Candace’s praises last year — wondered aloud why Trump hadn’t caught the Candace Express after speaking highly of Kanye on Twitter.com.
One day later, Trump — who routinely reads Reddit.com — acknowledged Candace on Twitter.
“Candace Owens of Turning Point USA is having a big impact on politics in our Country,” he wrote. “She represents an ever expanding group of very smart “thinkers,” and it is wonderful to watch and hear the dialogue going on…so good for our Country!”
Owens converted from Democrat to Republican after she grew suspicious of the liberal ideology that systematically oppresses black people.
“I’ve seen black liberals go conservative, but never seen a black conservative go liberal,” she tweeted under a Harriet Tubman quote.
