Deyjah and Violeta Morgan

Some people will do anything to promote their upcoming reality show. Rapper Tip Harris, aka T.I., has an upcoming reality show on BET — and he is doing to most to get viewers to tune in.

T.i., whose real name is Clifford Harris, Jr., attended a family dinner to celebrate his eldest (bio) daughter Deyjah Harris’ 17th birthday this week. His mother, Violeta Morgan, posted a photo of herself posing with Deyjah, along with a caption that seemed to suggest T.I.’s wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, 42, and her children — King, Major, Zonnique, and Heiress — stayed away because Tiny is upset with T.I. for cheating on her.

Savvy social media users called the 37-year-old rapper out for using his own mother and daughter as promotional gimmicks to create a buzz for his show, which is based on President Trump’s top-rated “Apprentice” reality series.

In the BET series, T.I. interviews young people who are competing to work for his record label.

That’s an interesting concept when you consider that T.I. laid off his top label executives, including his longtime manager Jason Geter and his label manager Hannah Kang, along with the rest of his staff, because he couldn’t afford to pay them.

But you din’t hear that from me.

Internet users are more savvy today than they were before reality TV shows took over cable. It’s getting harder for hypocrites like T.I. to pull the wool over their eyes.
