Usher Raymond

Usher Raymond finally found a buyer for his 10,823 sq. ft. mansion he shared with ex-wife Tameka Foster. Usher unloaded the house for a cool $1.5 million, The Blast reports.

Usher Raymond

The seven bedroom, 10 bath house with separate guest house was sold on July 2 after Usher listed the manse several times without success.

The home is located in the Country Club of the South in Alpharetta, an affluent suburb northwest of Atlanta.

Usher Raymond

The 39-year-old R&B crooner was forced to flee this house after a stalker was arrested twice for knocking on his front door, claiming she was Usher's wife.

Usher Raymond

The home boasts a gourmet kitchen, home hair salon, yoga studio, resort-style master bath with sauna, a guest house with a recording studio converted into a private dance studio, and even a climate controlled treehouse for Usher's 2 sons.

Usher Raymond

via The Blast -- Usher originally bought the property in 1998 for $1.2 million from [music producer and LaFace Records owner] L.A. Reid. He tried to offload it in 2008 for $1.95 million, but took it off the market two months later.

The singer then listed the home last year for $2.488 million but slashed it down multiple times in the hopes of finding a buyer. He eventually found someone this month, when he sold off the pad for $1.5 million on July 2.

    That's a beautiful home!

  • Keekz

Nice house. 1.5M seems like a steal for the house, guest house, air conditioned tree house.

  • http://citygirlzen.blogspot.com/ missarewa

that's a lot of house for 1.5m. looks nice too. for those who believe houses are investments, 1.2m in 1998 took 20 years (and many tax payments) to become 1.5m. now he's going to spend that 300k profit on closing costs -__-

  • ZRoJoTheLezBeyond

    Very nice!

  • Mrs. S. Kidd

He basically didn't make any money on it. Atlanta's housing market is *too* affordable. Everybody feels like they can just build their own mini mansion. The homes there are also very cheaply made.

  • Carrington

I'm still trying to get past the fact that you can purchase 10K sq ft with a SEPARATE guest house in Atlanta for $1.5 million, but I've been looking at houses in the $250-$300K range and can't find much DECENT over 2500 sq ft

  • ZRoJoTheLezBeyond
  • Coy little wink

So...is there is gonna be another housing bubble bust soon...

  • Coy little wink
  • disqus_DxKO3ThTGI

That will be me at 3:00 lmao.........same to you!!!!!!

  • disqus_DxKO3ThTGI

This is me on my way to the parking garage.....lol

  • Carrington

THIS is very true. I've been looking in ALL of the Atlanta areas and all the homes are one side brick, the rest wooden for $300K... y'all don't have no brick homes there? You have a fire and got ONE standing wall. WTF?

  • Alextra Ballard

10 bathrooms? and I be complaining when I have to clean my bath and a half. Gorgus home nonetheless

  • Dreadboi

Plenty of all brick or three sided homes if you knw where to look..plenty of all brick older 3/1's to be had and flipped or gutted and reno'd to live in..and majority for under $300k..

  • davine puddin

Property tax. Electric and water bill. Gardner. House keeper and im out the loop.

  • Mrs. S. Kidd

Give me an old school structure any day. If it's built before 1980 then I don't want it lol

  • Miss Thang

it's ok.. I'm not a fan of McMansions.

  • Mrs. S. Kidd

Is the brick real? lol You say "plenty" but most homes and subdivisions in Atlanta were built in the last 30 years or so.....so how old could these homes be?

  • Shawty

The maid does it for them

  • Shawty

    cracking up

  • Miss Thang

    cheaply made!! exactly!

  • SingleGalCrazyWorld

Well if you out here buying houses and stuff at a whim I need a small loan to start up my business LOL....

  • Alextra Ballard

You are absolutely correct! I forgot about the maid...

As real as $300 weave..I wouldn't be trying to do bruce lee chops on this stuff..My home is 3/1 sided red brick for under 250k split level two car with a lil under half arce with two other homes identical in my neighborhood which is only 10 yrs old..two more bew neighborhoods are going up for low to mid 200 to low 300..

  • NorthDeKalb

I get what you’re trying to say, but this is NOT a McMansion. Far from it!

  • Carrington

I was looking at some homes in Atlanta and sent my mom two houses to get her opinion.
Me: "What do you think about these two houses... the first one has a studio apartment above the garage with bathroom and kitchenette..."
Mom: "Oh, well, I like that one. I can come stay during the summer for about 4-5 months every year!"
Me: (remember to scratch garage apartment unit off list)

  • Miss Thang

i'm looking at that nubby roof and in my estimation, it is.

  • E-VannaRootsAllEvil

What part of town u looking?

  • Mama Dee’s Wig Maker

This is actually a really nice home

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

This is a custom home. A McMansion is in a neighborhood where every mansion was built from the same floorplan to save builder expenses. The homes are large and gaudy, the exteriors might be a different color but you share the same floorplan with your neighbors next door and across the street.

  • E-VannaRootsAllEvil

I wish I could show u all the brick homes. I have a full brick house

  • BrownIsBack

I just need a lil more to add to my index account since you're ballin like that

  • BrownIsBack

If it's too big for me to clean I don't want it and I won't have strange people in my house cleaning

  • justlooking

HA we bought our first home so that our father in law to move in. His response, nawl. I'm running the streets to hard. That was 6 years ago, he is still in his home running. Bless his heart.

  • justlooking

I was thinking more along the lines of sage, some prayer and healing along. Real Talk folks leave their bad energies behind and all the thots, hos and hookers too. HMMMPh

  • Carrington

My mama made the move in statement more than once and eventually noted the loudest silence ever whenever the topic came up. The last time she said, "... what? you don't want your mom to move in with you?" - I was waiting on that conversation, so I asked, "Do you want your SON moving in with YOU?" she gone get real quiet and say, "Well, you've got a point." Girl, I know! BYE! LOL

  • Bdot

    $1.5m for a Herpe House?

  • NorthDeKalb

The term connotes a shoddily constructed (which I imagine applies to the roof in your opinion) home that is large by suburban standards, but not a million+ estate. Like the homes you’d see in suburban Lithonia, Riverdale etc. that look like a 700k home but is valued around 2.5 or 300k. They usually have minimal forestry/landscaping and are clearly sort of thrown together like this one:

If this is a proposal.....I accept.... when you wanna go half??? My prayers have been answered LOL

  • BingBangBoom

This house was nice when he was on MTV Cribs. He had a huge Chester closet. Wow didn't make much money off the sale but good for him. It seems like the Trap house for all the atlanta celebs.

  • Tiff J

I NEED a bench in my shower like this. My lazy ass would sit down and never get out the shower.

  • BingBangBoom

    Is Tameka still squatting here?

  • SingleGalCrazyWorld

Ok so the inner feminist in me is like do YOU know how to cook too??? LOL... I got southern roots grandma taught me from scratch and momma taught me from the microwave smh...

  • WhoKnew

    Hollering! Good one!

  • Queen B

  • Queen B

  • free

    i like it.

  • free

i thought it was squeezing a mansion between cottages like they love to do in the ATL.

  • free

anybody who even pays $200k for this is a fool. this is mctract home. and i see some of them with like 5-6 bedrooms and all i think about is a bunch of chirren running amok and cars parked outside the garage with at least one on the lawn.

  • Jussjess25

Does anybody know what tameke’s up to these days? That women has been through alot I cant even hate on her.

  • free

Chile herpes goes away. My friend called me the other day and said. she got tested recently and was told she has herpes one not two. Then Went on to say “all these years I been telling people I have this and I didnt have to” I said when was the last time you had a breakout she said a few years ago.. I said “ let me call you back.” ??

  • Jussjess25

Ooh snap! What happened to the pine sole lady ?? I miss her

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

I remember when he took this home off the market when it didn't sell (I wrote a post about it). His patience paid off. ?

  • KcoolMuziq

    #TEAMUSHER

  • Coy little wink

    ? me too

  • SumthinSweeter

Beautiful home. Did his ex Tameka film in it on that short lived reality show about something involving Atl women. Not RHOA. Celo's ex-wife was on there and Kevin Harts's. I really liked that show.

  • SumthinSweeter

Yesss... just a wrinkled prune because I would let that water continually rain down on me *in my Ashanti voice*.

  • kekeb

    This house is beautiful.
Is this where all that TLC money went? (When LA Reid owned the house orrrr)?

  • SumthinSweeter

You are so right. My bff bought land in a new subdivision like 11 yrs ago. You pick the plot size, choose your home model type thing. The issue (and there were a few) but #1 to start were the contractors. They want to put up everything so fast and the workmanship is below par. He said it was his biggest headache and that if his previous home had not sold so fast then he would have waited and just bought another house and not have built.

  • Katrina Wilder

The house don"t have herpes. I still love Usher for his music

  • Katrina Wilder

    Lmao???

  • Katrina Wilder

    Yes it is

  • Katrina Wilder

You're right. Haven't been on TV in a while

  • NorthDeKalb

Yep that’s the gist of what a McMansion really is; corner cutting on the things that make legitimate mansions what they are. It’s meant to imply that they’re mass produced mostly identical to one another with minimal if any attention to detail like McNuggets off a conveyor. The price point of this home alone excludes it from McMansion candidacy.

  • Lorenzo Chaps

If those walls could talk. I do remember that story about the stalker literally getting past the 24 hour guard gate and found her way to Usher's front door. Crazy.

I remember every last price drop or new entry to the market that SR mentioned. When I saw that $2M+ price, I laughed. He finally sold it and walks away with a 300K profit (he bought it for 1.2M way back when).

Fun fact: The home Lefteye burned down is located a street or two over from where this manse is located.

  • Lorenzo Chaps

Hollywood Ex's: ATL. I don't think it was this one. When she and Usher married, they went off into the sunset of a more expensive mansion in neighboring Roswell. He had to fight tooth and nail to get her out of that house finally. That is the house I believe she was living in during that reality show. I think.

  • Lorenzo Chaps

lol. You remember that. I was just responding to another post about that.

  • Lorenzo Chaps

Uh mom, the summers are bout 2 good months. What you up to, woman?

  • SumthinSweeter

Oh. Thx for the info & clarification!

  • Lorenzo Chaps

Well he listed it umpteen times and different price points. It's been on the market for years, no exaggeration.

I’ve check out many celeb homes, and he has a really nice one. Of course the bleach will have to hit every area in that place.

  • Junkanoo

For some reason l don't like how the house is decorated.l think small spaces need light bright colors to open up the space and make seem bigger but big open spaces need color to ground the space .

  • Bee jaay Cee

But he has to pay capital gains tax on that 300k.

  • SingleGalCrazyWorld

We sound like a match made in heaven... I need the number LOL...southern roots here but we uprooted to the north but I would like to move back down there in a few years.

  • Sdot33

they would have to fumigate all that before I look.
Crazy a house this size in Jersey would be $3 to $4mil easy.

  • Lorenzo Chaps

Hopefully his accountant can find a loophole that allows the profit to sit for a short time until the "tax" is forgiven.

  • SingleGalCrazyWorld

Same here....I was looking at property in Montreal this past weekend LOL

  • Kimocha

I will never look at Usher the same again after the ho's and herpes... smh

  • AndSo

Oh my! This shouldn't have sold at such a low price. Wonder if there's something about it that kept it from selling for what it looks like it should? Alpharetta still has a lot of money and there are many multi-million dollar properties there, so what's the deal with this one?
