Meghan Markle's weight loss is the subject of concern from social media users who say she is half the woman she used to be.
The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex visited the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition at Southbank Centre in London, England on Tuesday.
Meghan adhered to a strict starvation diet ahead of her big wedding day in May. But concerned observers say she lost so much weight she looked lost in her loose-fitting wedding gown.
Meghan subsisted on a diet that of salad and seeds. She cut out fat, carbohydrates, processed food and sugary beverages.
But royal watchers say Meghan has lost even more weight since the royal wedding. New photos of the royal couple caused alarm on social media.
"She looks like she's wasting away!," wrote one social media user.
Meghan's dramatic weight loss and choice of frumpy outfits prompted her father, Thomas Markle to say he is worried that his daughter is having a difficult time adjusting to royal life.
"My thing about my daughter right now is that I think she is terrified," he tells The Sun. "I see it in her eyes, I see it in her face and I see it in her smile. I've seen her smile for years. I know her smile. I don't like the one I'm seeing now. This one isn't even a stage smile - this is a pained smile. I think she's under too much pressure. There's a high price to pay to be married to that family."
Thomas said he hasn't spoken to his daughter since before the wedding when staged photos of himself for a hefty fee.
