Ariana Grande

The congregation was not pleased with Ariana Grande’s singing or the little black club dress she wore to perform during Aretha Franklin’s 6-hour homegoing services at the Greater Grace Temple in Detroit on Friday.

The 25-year-old pop singer sang off-key as she performed a rendition of Aretha’s hit single, “You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman”.

Many viewers scratched their heads, wondering how Ariana got invited to sing at Aretha’s funeral when Aretha herself didn’t approve of young pop singers who lack real talent.

Many thought the dress showed a lack of respect for the Queen of Soul.

“Someone forgot to tell Ariana Grande about appropriate funeral attire at Friday’s services for Aretha Franklin,” wrote one Chron.com writer, who echoed the sentiments of Aretha’s fans. “She wore a black mini-dress that hit inches above mid-thigh. Well, actually just inches below the butt.”

Ariana Grande

Bishop Charles H. Ellis III summed up everyone’s thoughts. “When I saw Ariana Grande on the program, I thought that was something at Taco Bell!” he said.

FYI: An earlier version of this post was edited to correct the Bishop’s name.

  • Miss Thang

    Ariana knows better than that.

  • TRUTHbeabsolute

Thank you Sandra for addressing that…because it really was.

  • Tony

… more like lack of respect for herself! *le sigh* but i digress

  • Guest

I guess she did not care then.

  • Li-Wright

She’s new school. New school is lacking a lot of things. She would have done well dressing in a pants suit or jumpsuit.
New school goes to funerals in track suits. Don’t believe me, go to another funeral and see how these young people dress.

  • stav

She was not there for Aretha, she was there trying to prove to black folks she can sing!

  • Tlowe89

I wish she would give up the ponytail

  • Stan4NoOne

She has no class and the background singers out sang her narrow a**.

  • My Thoughts

The name is wrong! It was Bishop Charles Ellis III who made the Taco Bell reference. Please fact check before publishing.

  • reddfoxxy16

WHY wasn’t Jill, Erykah, Lauryn, India Arie, or Alicia chosen 2 SING THIS??.. WHY WAS SHE EVEN THERE???

  • WutizstillHERE!

I think the choir purposely sung over her to drown out the horror of what was happening on the mic ??

  • stav

    Where was Fantasia???

  • WakeMe84

Ayyyeeeee Look at Jesse Jackson expression in the cut behind her lmao lol lol

  • KLove

That Taco Bell joke though….LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i laughed good and hard at that one!!

  • KLove

But did yall see how Ol Slick Willie and Jesse were whispering back and forth while she was singing…I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during that conversation!!….im sure a spirit of lewdness and lasciviousness came over ALL of the men up on that pulpit for a a few minutes…cuz i know it came over me!!

  • dontgetblocked

Why was she even invited? I mean really this is the Queen of Soul’s funeral.

  • Alicia.Ashe

I’m tired of that dry azz ponytail.

  • KLove

she performed about an hr ago

  • KLove

Bruuuuuuuh….he prolly aint had a solid erection in years, and he got one today!!!!

  • dontgetblocked

Sometimes you have to leave white people out of things that they just don’t understand especially the dynamic and history of a black church.

  • dontgetblocked

Jesse is an old school pervert. Everyone has a #metoo story about him.

  • reddfoxxy16

RIGHT!! I CANT BELIEVE SHE WAS CHOSEN 2 SING THIS SONG! SMH..

  • SweetTEE

Bishop Paul S. Morton, of Changing A Generation Ministries in Atlanta, summed up everyone’s thoughts. “When I saw Ariana Grande on the program, I thought that was something at Taco Bell!” he said.

??Sis, he just called you a chihuahua!!

  • reddfoxxy16

    Lmaooo.?????

  • Rayne

These chillin don’t know how to dress for church or a funeral and that is pure dee sad ASF!!

  • Rayne

Dressed like she going to make a lil change. ?

  • Rayne

  • HeyGirlHey

Ariana loves her a ponytail huh ?

  • WakeMe84

That part lol The 2: 00 mark says it all..I was like ..IM DONE??Him and AL trying they damn hardest not to crack?

  • Soda

I read a Blind Item about a young singer wanting to do a tribute album of Aretha’s songs, not because she such a big fan but because she thinks she’ll make a ton of money. My guess is that it’s Ariana. Don’t try it, girl. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/72caf7963541c68d231bef5f05419a86e57b31067a6e14fe2660b54b3c1fe5a6.gif

  • FukkFolks2018

I literally just saw the camera pan to Big Dick (Sean). Now we know why she showed up practically nake-y

  • FukkFolks2018

The fumeral been going on since 11-1130 EST. Lauryn would legit just now be showing up. So no to Ariana but no to Ms Hill too

  • Yup, I said it

Jesse Jackson was sleep during Ariana’s performance.

  • dru and neil

It was beyond tasteless. Who shows up at a funeral wearing a cocktail dress? You’re at a funeral bish. Somebody just died.

  • Miss Thang

she can’t she’s bald in the middle:(

  • dru and neil

I agree, her attendance missed the mark. Everything about her didn’t belong there.

  • Ozad

that’s how these youngins do nowadays..inappropriately dress to all kinds of things..job interviews…church…prom

  • Ozad

no boo..he called her a taco bell menu item…LOL…a chalupa!!..a Gordita!!

  • SweetTEE

This ish is funny either way???

  • TRUTHbeabsolute

I read that too….it’s definitely her.

  • Luvi

    Preach !

  • TooMuchTea

You betta sholl nuff SAY THAT!

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

glad I slept through this part … I ain’t here for Ariana Grande and her dark azz bye? …. Trash

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

she better leave that shyt alone

  • SumthinSweeter

    ???

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

Chile look how AL looking at her. . Chile .. Who’s bright idea was this to have her sing… ?????

  • TooMuchTea

    That was a fail!

  • leapyearpisces

My germaphobic ass been over her since that nasty ass bih licked them damn donuts and placed them back for public consumption. That told me ALLLLLLL I needed to know about her character.

  • TooMuchTea

Rev Jesse & Al blank stares said it all. Rofl!!

  • dru and neil

The BS excuse she made for that incident was ridiculous as well. She actually said “I’m young and I still learning.” At age 22 (at the time) how do you not know it’s a disgusting public health concern to put your mouth and boogers on food someone else is going to end up buying and eating.

  • MsPam

I know she was wrong for wearing that dress but y’all need to stop! This isn’t the first time y’all seen a person dressed like this at a funeral. Angie Stone had her tiddays out. Charles Ellis was showing out. RIP Aretha ??

  • RaginB

?” I thought this was something at Taco Bell”..

  • FukkFolks2018

Oldest is 23 as of May. That’s a hell no for us. I don’t see her or her friends doing anything like that

  • Renee Bee

I so loved Aretha in The Blues Brothers. Ya hear meh? Loved her!!! ?

  • Jethro

I’m finding it difficult to be outraged. ?

  • Renee Bee

Haha! Dub where ya been? Girl you were missed!

  • Renee Bee

You missed her. She was everything and more. Shoes were tossed.

  • Nathan Hastings

    Christians are so judgmental.

  • BeUtFullSoul

That is NOT Bishop Paul S. Morton with her on that picture ?

  • Oretta Grace Smith

Awww, Leave her alone!!! At least Ariana Got Up there. We All been Young with mistakes.

  • leapyearpisces

I just knew that was going to be the end of her. Silly me….she got the complexion for the protection I guess, but I had to “Nino Brown, cancel that hoe” after that shat.

  • Oretta Grace Smith

Because some of them Are the Most Sinful.

  • 88

Telling her to cover up is not being judgemental its common sense

  • MsPam

One more thing when Ariana went on stage before the service, some of the black men were acting like groupies.. That includes the First Black President.

  • Jersey Girl

    ???????

  • Oretta Grace Smith

They Were about to eat her up!!!

  • Oretta Grace Smith

    First Black President of what?

  • Jersey Girl

    Jezebel Spirit indeed?

  • Soon2BWife

Well, she is singing Natural Woman in a church. What y’all expect? What is all the hype about her and of all the people that could sing, really?

  • jeniefrumdabloc™

Chile whet … Yuck ? told ya she trash

  • Oretta Grace Smith

Off subject for a minute, what is going on with Venus and Serena’s tennis match

  • cherrypie

They should have asked Christina Aguilera who can sing way better than this little girl and would have came dressed appropriately.

  • dinedaaka

Because her grand kids probably thought this would make it more diverse!

  • n1kk1a

    Does she have to pee?

  • 88

Naw the last time she was invited to one of our gatherings she was bleeding all over the pulpit

  • Anji

Well…Aretha liked that gal but my pitch is perfect and she is like nails on a chalkboard.

  • PhillyFacts

    Lol you’re petty cthu

  • Applebum

Awww Nicki Minaj’s mean little sister is being praised by a black man at a REAL Icon’s funeral. Ariana rude butt is far from an icon. As far as these politicians on stage, I’m sure they’ve had her already, especially Bill Clinton. These entertainers are given to politicians and elites for favors.

  • Karen Brady

    She:Disrespectful. Me:Disgusted. Disrespectful donut licker.

  • luVn_liFe…

im flipping the channels waiting for it. when are they going to start!

  • Karen Brady

I read it. It’s her. And she can have many seats.

  • Karen Brady

they were thinking “what in the fukkkk??????!!!!!!”

  • reddfoxxy16

    LOL????, poor Lauryn…

  • reddfoxxy16

Adele would’ve been a better choice, if it was about diversity… Choosing Ariana, made no sense whatsoever..

  • Karen Brady

Bill said give me 5 viagra, 2 red bulls and 7 minutes away from Hilary’s wide azz and I’ll make you feel like a natural woman little Arianna. I swear it won’t take me more than 7 minutes! 8 if I can yank that ponytail.

  • Karen Brady

Okay Mary or Jill weren’t on the ticket but this little girl was? Alicia? Melanie Fiona? Lemme shut up…….aww hell I’m back! ..MICHELLE from Destiny ‘s Child?? Rih-Rih? Jazmine Sullivan? Floetry? Late azz but beloved Ms. Hill? Kelly backing up Michelle? Snoop Doggy-Dogg?? Anybody..please. sorry ya’ll the Merlot done took effect …Tee heeeee. WAIT!!! WHERE ARE MY WINANS? Cece, Bebe..??? *sigh*

  • Oretta Grace Smith

    They starting Now, 23 ESPN

  • luVn_liFe…

yeah Im watching I luv these two!!

  • strongblksista

Correction…that was Bishop Ellis who made the comment that he thought an ariana grande was something on the taco bell menu, not bishop paul morton.

  • Ccity

He should be ashamed of himself for touching and grabbing her inappropriately.

  • cherrypie

    LMAOOOOOO!!!! NVM then!

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

I guess they had her there just for the “diversity”, but if they had to have a white singer up there, Christina Aguilera, Robin Thicke, or Justin Timberlake would have made more sense.

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

The look on Jesse Jackson’s face at 2:07 to 2:15 says it all. He looked mad.

  • Peppermint Patty

I bet the back up singers cud have out sang her silly dizzy ass…white privilege…please scurry away little squirrel harlot i cant stand her and her wanna look 12 forever only film me from my good side ass

  • IamAllnatural

    You might be right ?

  • TheThrowbackBeauty

No she was on key. Ain’t her fault she ain’t got no soul?????

  • IamAllnatural

The pastor shole was a little too touchy feely with that Taco Bell menu item. That comment was hilarious.
So only the white people stood up when she finished singing?

  • Bonita

What is with this new Hispanics can represent Blacks better than Blacks agenda? You got Cardi B. insulting our Black icon, Coretta Scott King, and now this Ariana girl trying to show us how to sing an Aretha Franklin song. Who are the behind the scenes coons co-signing this mess?!

  • the guest

    My thoughts EXACTLY.

I said Ariana Grande wasn’t ready for this.

The sisters singing back up outsang her and should have been singing the tribute. Ariana Grande needs to live with Chaka Khan for a year as an apprentice. Then live with Fantasia for a year as apprentice. Then with Jennifer Holiday for a year as an apprentice. THEN maybe, then maybe then she could be ready. These young soulful-like white girls pay no dues. They lack church and chitlen circuit dues paying and soul.

  • the guest

I caught that too. I felt a few of his comments were disrespectful too. I felt he was very disrespectful with introducing Mr. Isley.

  • the guest

    Right on.

  • Li-Wright

The family requested that she sing at the funeral. Look it up.

  • the guest

Thank you! I said Mr. Jackson and Mr. Sharpton know real. Rev. Al was like what is this. But Jesse said help me up when Chaka Khan brought it home.

  • Renee26

Poor thang should have chosen a different song…

  • the guest

I’m not where to ask. But can someone please tell me why Mariah Carey wasn’t there? I don’t understand.

  • Shenanigans1

Lmao Alan Thicke is Robin Thickes father—who’s also deceased. I just hollered.

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

    I just corrected it, thanks.

  • Karen Brady

Say it louder for the people in the back please.

  • TRUTHbeabsolute
  • TRUTHbeabsolute

But all the women you mentioned grew up in the chuuuuch!

  • TRUTHbeabsolute

More like 7 or 8 seconds.

  • nekkkyj

Don’t see anything wrong with her dress this is not the 1950’s

  • Karen Brady

    HOLLERED!!! I do stand CORRECTED!

  • gellie

THANK YOU!!!! Everything ain’t for everybody.

  • Karen Brady

    *chuckles with my shoulders heaving*

  • Karen Brady

I stood up too. Figured it was the perfect time to run to the restroom.

  • MookieFly

Why was this popcorn shrimp basket from Long John Silvers invited? Where is the fish plate sistas? Yall could’ve at least got Adele ole fish and chips ass to belt some tunes

  • Solstice

I said Jazmine Sullivan a few days back. I agree

  • IamAllnatural

    ?

  • Karen Brady

    *tears* @ your first question.

  • Tlowe89

  • MookieFly

Inquiry minds want to know. It seems like this was promotion for hr album and that’s it

  • Karen Brady

    chile…

  • Karen Brady

    Did you?! Wow…see?!

  • Peace

    You better say that.

  • Jussjess25

Wow aretha’s funeral was a mess chile .. smh it was very unorganized and the the performances were relatively horrible. Steve wonder did amazing on the flute tho .

  • Rayne

That’s what’s wrong with y’all now. Can’t see. When you’re at a funeral that dress is not ok. It’s above the knee, too much skin showing on top and the bottom. Then you’re in the house of the lord. Have some respect!!

  • ?Patty Kakes?

I didn’t think anything was wrong with what she had on. What I didn’t like was the way she sounded singing that song

  • Miss Thang

Serious. She’s talked about her condition publicly.

  • Stan4NoOne

That Bishop was groping the HELL out of her boob. #DISGUSTING

  • Stan4NoOne

    That was a harmonica.

  • TheyDontHearMeTho

EVERYTHING YOU SAID THANK TF YOU!! My thoughts EXACTLY!

  • Li-Wright

Well she DOES have pretty legs. However….this is a bit OT: I’m more concerned about her fiance’ Pete Davidson. He’s a pauper and she’s the money. I hope she doesn’t marry him. That she just lives with him until she can find a better choice.

  • MsPam

The United States, Girl stop playing with me. Black folks claimed him as such. You have a nice weekend sweetie.

  • MsPam
  • bemetoo
  • Tlowe89

Yea I just looked it up and she said how it got so damaged from coloring it red every 4 wks for the show she was on when she was younger. I think it could also be genetics, because I had a friend who started balding when she was around 24. It was due to genetics and not damaging her roots with quick weaves, and it didn’t help because she would only leave it in for 5 days makes.

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

Or maybe she should just marry him if she feels he’s “the one”, and just have him sign a prenup, just like rich men do when they marry women who don’t have a lot of money. (At least, that’s what the smart ones do.)

  • leapyearpisces

that was NASSY and CRINGY…oh my God he was fingering / fondling her breast. #THROWUP

  • LP

That was horrible! She looked so uncomfortable?

  • LP

Was it a representation or a last salute to Aretha Franklin? Would you have preferred a Black only funeral? I can see if she was the only person that sang at the funeral.

  • leapyearpisces

I have to agree and I am not an old-fashioned girl AT ALL.. Clearly, she didn’t have a “mama” or “daddy” check, because I am 42 years old with almost grown children and my mama or my daddy, would have told me, that I AM NOT GOING TO NOBODY’s funeral looking like that. Some things are universal – everybody knows you don’t go to nobody’s funeral looking a SLUTTY BERNICE TALBERT from Kingdom Come mess, and you don’t wear no dang on white to somebody’s wedding. THOSE are grounds of you getting a LEGITMATE ass whooping. LOL.

  • missmiami305

There was no need for him to touch her. He deserved to be slapped. She looked very uncomfortable

  • Malcom Flex

Thank you. RIP Queen of Soul. She planned that ALL. it’s a good send off to a legend. Whitney, James Brown and Micheal Jackson needed lavish, multi-day public funerals like this.

  • Malcom Flex

Arianna was high as usual and that groping bishop needs to be investigated.

  • Malcom Flex

It’s a FUNERAL you have something called DECORUM.

  • WatEvaDaF*ck

Hell, we’ll take Mario Winans at this point..ijs

  • Andrea Williams

LOL, from beginning to end #DEAD

  • GuestSTAR

Too short and showed a lot of skin for a gospel oriented black church funeral.
Cute dress, but it probably would’ve been more acceptable at a younger person’s funeral.

  • Andrea Williams

It’s so true. I have been to funerals where the male attendants were dressed in wife beaters and ripped jeans with sneakers ready for the basketball court. And the females were either going to the club or working the corner, not quite sure which. The younger generation just doesn’t have a clue about funeral decorum. Not. A. Clue.

  • RentEmSpoons

lol ” Must thow tempt me” ” Damnit mine eyes, Damnit mine eyes”

  • RentEmSpoons
  • Megbabe

she was sweating self tanner!!! lol

  • RentEmSpoons
  • Dun Dilly

No, she’s young and non Black, I’m sure no one told her about the Black Church Dress code.

  • Wayup!

Lawd.. cause Im sitting up here saying to myself..” Stevie Wonder played the flute”?

  • FukkFolks2018

I can’t sleep or lurk in peace hate yall??

  • FukkFolks2018

I’m sorry. I think Obama should have showed up…bc McCain funeral not til today. They could have kept the Clintons and yes. This could have stayed black only. Should have. I hate Clive but she liked him. If anything he should have been only one allowed.

  • Peace

That was Bishop Charles Ellis. Thats his church.

  • Peace

Wow. I kinda agree. Too many performances. Didnt need Fanny. Jhud did Aretha Justice.

  • Darkandlovely617?

I get up go to the bathroom and see all this? So the Bishop issued an apology?

  • Darkandlovely617?

    ???
    You’re so accurately descriptive

  • hi-liter

  • Tailor Koko Milk

So wait this Monkey can grab her side melon as she talks but her normal dress gets the attention y’all evil and not human ! Sick so called Priest !!

  • Robert lee Bennett OG

Isn’t that the girl who had a concert and the isis guy blew himself up killing dozens

  • the guest

Many sisters never stopped believing in the lord but stopped going to church because of that very thing. Pastors can be so casually and passively inappropriate and flirtatious with young women that it’s too uncomfortable to go to church. Ariana Grande looked very uncomfortable and forced to be polite and respectful in her discomfort.

  • the guest

I will say even though she may not have black soul, you can tell Faith Hill was brought up in the church. Them southern white church folk are raised to know how to act in black church. She was real, respectful, and very sincere.

  • the guest

Ariana Grande is Italian American or definitely half Italian American.

  • the guest

    AGREED.

  • the guest

That child was not ready. She had no business on that stage. She paid her tribute on one of the late night talk shows and was enough.

  • the guest

Can someone please tell me or does anyone know why Mariah wasn’t there. I can’t find any info online. For that matter why wasn’t Celine Dion there?

  • the guest

They would just have to tell Lauryn her 3pm slot was as at 11am.

  • the guest

My point exactly. Ariana has some serious studying to do. She needs to live in a black church for a few years. Check her celebrity and ego at the door and join a choir. She can sing but she lacks ummph.

  • VanillaCaramel2shotsExpresso

    Yes

  • Oretta Grace Smith

Ok, But I Never, Ever have!!! You Have a Cheerful, Lovely weekend as Well.

  • Faithz

That was what I though, and someone In Aretha Family Loves Her, so be it. They can keep ariana in their prayers, Like you said she’s Young.

  • Faithz

Omg Smh many of these Bishops and Preachers need to Stop
    their Shenanigan.

  • Ni Ni

I won’t jump all over her about it since she’s not familar with our culture, but I’m sure she probably think she’s “down” due to being invited by these new blacks who don’t know their culture either; they mostly grew up in affluent, white neighborhoods.

These young white folks think they know our entire culture just because they listen to some watered down hip hop. I was reading on the gram and some blacks actually think this chick has soul…no ma’am.

  • Kimocha

Yes… I do agree the dress was too damn short!….HEATHEN! Smdh…

  • Li-Wright

Just be glad that Min. Farrakhan didn’t speak. We would still be there in the church listening to him. :)
Parts of it was very honorable and respectful. But the (men) who eulogized Aretha, except for about 2 or 3, were ridiculous. That’s why when you book people to speak, the planners should get a preview of what they’re going to say.
And poor Ron Isley. Did he know where he was???

  • Kimocha

    Beautiful pic!

  • Li-Wright

Probably invited because a) the grandchildren had a say; b) she has the #1 CD in the country; 3) good publicity.

  • the guest

I love how Reverend Jesse Jackson acknowledged the beautiful work of the funeral home. That was so beautiful. He said they did a beautiful job on Aretha. Amen.

  • the guest

I know Queen Aretha planned it. I knew when I saw Louis Farrakhan included on stage that she planned it. His presence was humble, regal, and wonderful.

  • RICHIE_RICH

God says come as you are right? What I found to be inappropriate was the way the bishop was touching her.

  • Kimocha

Yes chile… Ronald was a mess!!!

  • Soon2BWife

Why would I when you just told me the answer. ?????

  • Kimocha

Yes it was the grands request I’m sure….

  • Soon2BWife

Well, that’s our fault. It’s ok to tell folks what is or isn’t proper attire. The state of the black church promotes status over decorum, tho.

  • what?why

That Bishop should be called on the carpet for his disgusting groping of Ariana’s breast – she was very uncomfortable. Living proof, need nothing else for his condemnation.

  • freelancepimp .

I don’t think her rendition was all that great. The rest of the media act lie she tore it up. She is literally singing from the front of her mouth and mumbling out the words. I guess when you lower the standards she did great.

  • rodt

He was a little handsy for a preacher

  • Li-Wright

    he apologized

  • MRiGOThim

Was the good Bishop laying hands???? :P

  • Li-Wright

Anywho,I had time to read through the comments and watch the videos online. Chaka was great, Gladys was great, Shirley Caesar, Yolanda and Morton were great. IMO Ron Isley didn’t know where he was or was hung over. I’m not going to comment about the preachers (all old men), but will let you guys know Jesse has parkinson’s disease. He’s under medication and doing other things to control it. That he had the strength to go to the weeklong celebration and her funeral is a testament to his strength. He’s about 80 years old, as is Min. Farrakhan (glad he didn’t speak!).

Comments about Clive Davis. You may not know this, but Clive has stuck with Aretha label wise throughout her career. At one time she didn’t have a label and she went back into the fold with Clive. Think about all the legacy artists out there that don’t have a major label. They’re all touring acts. No label, no distribution. So whatever happened with Clive & Whitney’s death, I know not, but will say this. If I had been planning for a whole year to give an event that cost millions of dollars and Whitney decided to take her life (yes! I went there), I wouldn’t disinvite hundreds of people and tell them to go home….no way. Unless I had insurance for the event. Whitney was broke according to the documentary at the time of the Grammy event. She was dead broke and couldn’t pay for her rehab. She was staging a comeback, but IMO she ended her life. And she was lucky to have a Clive Davis willing to put up with her.

Another thing about Clive. Anybody notice he had to be helped into the room by his partner? Clive is in his 80s. It’s a miracle he’s still alive. Berry Gordy is 89! It’s a miracle he’s still alive. So let’s stop with the “Why didn’t they do this or that” with these two. You don’t know the circumstances.
Final thoughts. I betcha Aretha was in that casket, saying, Thanks all I love you too, but this is too damn long. Let’s get on with the burial :)

  • Li-Wright

He apologized. You know how Old (black) men preachers are. Touchy feely. If this was in the 1950s, 1960s, nobody would be offended. But it’s 2018.

  • Li-Wright

OT: This answers the questions about paid influencers, I never paid attention until Sandra started postings about Blak Chyna, et al. My god, the internet is terrible!

She looks beautiful. A funeral fit for a diva. RIH!

  • dontgetblocked

Some old pastor or deacon basically felt me up every time I went to church. I just shrugged it off. Nowdays, it’s considered molestation.

  • Ni Ni

I doubt bishop was intentionally trying to grope that girl/woman. He probably thought that was her chest since there’s not much there. Her fans are just upset cause she’s getting called out for having no soul and her dress.

Word of Advice: Quit inviting all these folks to our functions and you won’t have these problems. The young, white starlet performs and scandal breaks out…

  • freelancepimp .

    Great post.

  • freelancepimp .

I am not bible-ologist I but I think that means like in a humble spirit. But please share where I can find that quote in the bible?

  • Lindac

They should have told all the performers what the dress code was for females, and that would have settled the matter. These people are from the “young school,” not the “old school.” But trust that “old school” fashion is coming back when ladies dressed like ladies.

  • Rayne

Where is her soul? In the Cracker Jack box cause sholl damn hell it ain’t here ? they lieing to her!

  • Rayne

    One classy lady ?

  • Li-Wright

During the funeral, did anyone see all 4 sons? I saw two Clarence and I think Eddie. But the camera didn’t show them, and there are no pictures of them….just wondering.

  • Rayne

I was trying my damned to see her chillun. I didn’t see one

  • Li-Wright

At the end when they were escorting the casket out, Jennifer Hol is singing. I saw (I think) Eddie and Clarence. I wonder and pray for Clarence. He’s the special needs child. I know Aretha was living hard and working hard to take care of him. He needs care…even though he’s 63. Who’s going to take care of him?

  • Soda

Just as your comment is full of your opinions, everyone here is entitled to theirs, good or bad—including the replies. I liked Ronald Isley’s song best of all, he seemed very sincere.

  • Rayne

Maann… that hurts. Him without his momma. I’ve got a soft spot for that.?

  • Merkaba morris

People should have committed on her horrible ass singing, but even worst than that the symbolism and projected programing they had going on the funeral service , it was disheartening if you understood the overall message they were conveying….First of all putting the white king funeral service on at the same time and same day with the Black Queen is a ritual in itself …..And we all know that white people are unnatural so why would a Caucasian be singing this song on a Platform like this with everyone watching …… ? I respect Aretha Franklin for her many achievements but this was a Black Boule Funeral Service with all the gatekeepers in Place . even the 4 times she changed outfits and the colors schemes she used had symbolism in them …….. Entertainers are a part of the problem …..They are trying to reset time in our mind …..All these people are Walking zoomies….All you dead Motherfuckers get out the way ……. yall better raise yall vibration because its about to be a bumpy ride ….Love and Light

  • Kimocha

All I know is Jennifer Holiday looked DAMN GOOD! I didn’t recognize her at all!….. And is Ron Isley OK?? He seemed a lil bit OFF to me….

  • softness1

You have to know your crowd. Aretha was 76 years old. Who the hell did Ariana think she was honoring??? You don’t go into grandma church like that!!! My grandmother would have lost it on my ass.. Hell I wouldn’t be able to get pass my mother with that shit on..

Is everyone in her circle 35 and under??? It was classless.

  • E-VannaRootsAllEvil

That’s what they get for inviting her. She should have never performed no way.

Aretha: okay nice gowns, beautiful gowns ??

  • http://batman-news.com Roderick2011

Farrakhan is pushing 90 not 80.

  • http://batman-news.com Roderick2011

    Obviously you’ve been to church.

  • Darkandlovely617?

    ?????
I’m 35 an under and know better. At her age I knew better.

I’ve chalked it up to hypersexualization
    ?????

  • Kimocha

    Aretha’s grand kids requested her…

  • Li-Wright
  • Li-Wright

JenHol was spectacular. We don’t hear much from her.

  • Bonita

Which means she’s of European ancestry just like those in the Dominican Republic which was inhabited by the Spaniards. They seem too share a lot of commonalities with Hispanics than they’re probably willing to admit. The Italian language, just like Spanish, both come from the Indo-European language family and they cross speak because their languages are so similar. Both cultures have a reputation of not being very fond of Blacks. And just like the rest, they love making money off of us.

  • Truth

Really?!Everyone going to act like that pastor was not being a pervert?!FOHBlack people going to stay blinded by their pastor .SMH
I do not care about her dress Aretha always had her breast out she probably would not care! She still was not suppose to get groped on TV!At A Funeral In Front Of The World and all ya’ll low life is worried about is a dress .She was not naked and she weighs 80 lbs .she can wear anything .

  • Li-Wright

They should do that for all funerals! Honestly, don’t let people in the funeral if they’re wearing track suits.

  • Kimocha

They say that Big Sean gave her a standing ovation tho….lol…. I missed it….

  • Blaque Mahogany

Ummmm… I don’t think it was Bishop Morton that made the comment about Taco Bell.

P.S. The comment was ignorant in my opinion.

  • Harley

Yeah I see this with natural hair bloggers too and with them it’s like how can all 50 of the products you promote work on your hair!! Makeup ok but hair products. I’m tired of these lame promotions and people misleading the public

  • Bonita

It was an opportunistic strategy for her to try and get crossover appeal from Blacks. Don’t use a Black icons funeral to try and get appeal in our community to sell more records. Even Stevie Wonder can see this was a strategic business move. This is exactly why Black folks stay being taken advantage of by others races, because we always want to see the good in others. Everybody aint our friend. When it comes to business, other races don’t eat off our plates because they love us so much, they do it because it’s good for business. Stop being so surface level focused and put on your critical thinking cap to see below the surface. Until we get that through out thick skulls, we’ll continue to remain in last place.

  • Kimocha

    Right!

  • Kimocha

Yep! He was definitely being a perv… He had such a FIRM grip on her… it was a damn shame…. Then on top of all that… Mr. Clinton couldn’t keep his eyes off of her… like he was undressing her with his eyes… I was appalled by BOTH of them!!

  • Bonita

Clive is a Luciferian worshipping businessman. He knows that Blacks are where the money is at. It’s not that he loves us, he loves the money that we make him. Black folks think that when White folks fuckkk with us like this it’s out of love . . . NO . . . it’s just business.

  • FukkFolks2018

Hey. I hate him. But Aretha loved him. She most likely would have wanted him there. Only reason I said maybe him. She sung his praises a lot. Why? We don’t know.

  • Bonita

Oh yeah, I know. He had poor Whitney under his spell too. And you see how much he cared once he disposed of her. He went ahead with his party downstairs while her dead body lay upstairs in the hotel room.

  • Li-Wright
  • Bonita

Isn’t it amazing how White folks have us so programmed to believe that they’re our saviours when they do something for us? And like good obedient slaves, we sing them such good praises. White wealthy folks like Clive Davis have a totally different mind set than their rich, middle-class, and poor counterparts. Because they have a “do as though wilt” philosophy, they believe good deeds cancel out their bad works. So when they do humanitarian work or give to charities, they aren’t doing it because they are such great people, who have such a passion for a cause or helping others, they do it because this is how they believe that little bit of good will cancel out their bad behaviour. That’s the Aleister Crowley way.

  • MsOpinion

Sandra that is not Bishop Morton, that is Bishop Charles Ellis the pastor of Aretha Franklins family church where her funeral was held!!

  • MsOpinion

It wasn’t it was Bishop Charles Ellis he pastors the church where the funeral was held

  • Karen Brady

    and her engagement

  • Junkanoo

It’s not that surprising that’s how she usually dressess it’s all water under the bridge now

  • Karen Brady

Wow. Just watched the clip and he clearly was feeling her up while trying to be slick with it and she felt it and was leaning away, pulling down her tutu and even looking behind her like she needed help. He took advantage of her naked azz and his First Lady was just feet away!

  • dinedaaka

Dominicans however are of European/Spanish and African/Black descent with some Indigenous roots also.

  • Yui

You know darn well, a certain set of individuals don’t know a thing about when or what’s appropriate. They were never taught that and to me, trying to explain it to them is like talking to a brick wall. Lol. She would’ve been fine if the dress hit the knee.

  • MsPam
  • Mr.LeBrickJames

I agree. I think people are being a bit too hard on him. When went and looked at the video I could see how it looked like he was being a little bit “grabby” in that moment, but I don’t think he had impure intentions toward her.
I believe Bishop Ellis is an honorable man who just had a bad/awkward moment.

  • Yui

Personally, I don’t think he was groping her. She’s kinda short, it looked more like an accident to me and the Taco Bell comment was so politically incorrect, omg. ? he reminded me of a series of black men his age I’ve run into and know who just open their mouths. Lol ?

  • Coy little wink

Chile…many people do not know how to dress for a funeral…I’ve been to funerals and seen it all. The dress is a bit short and with arms out as well its showing too much skin but at least its black…

  • Kimocha

I didn’t think he did too good…. But he looks just like his mama tho…lol

  • Waya Hedia

What do you expect from a donut lickin’ nitwit?

  • E-VannaRootsAllEvil

Aretha didn’t tho for this same reason. This taking away from her day

  • Bonita

The African part of that is questionable to me. I don’t believe in White folks narrative about we were brought on slave boats from Africa. I believe Blacks are indigenous to America, the Carribean islands, Africa, and Australia. White folks are the masters of deception, confusion, and chaos. This is how they’ve been able to control us for so long.

  • TooMuchTea

God bless him. I think the singing gene skipped over him. Was nice though.

  • TooMuchTea

    Sholl did.

  • Kimocha

Bill Clinton’s THIRSTY ASS made me sick! He’s STILL a perv!! Smdh

  • Reenaface

I checked out the way that horn dog Bill, The Pastor, and Farrakhan we’re checking out Ariana. They kept giggling and whispering to each other like they were taking bets on who was going to have her first.

  • dontgetblocked

I’m sure they were talking about something else because they pointed out to the audience. However, Bill and the preachers on stage had the time of their lives. Bill was in love with every women who came out. He was thrilled with the Clark sisters. Bill might as well have been a black man. Minister Farrakhan truly enjoyed all the singers…Shirley Ceaser–who tore it up, Yolanda Adams, J-Hud, Fantasia…etc.

  • Reenaface

I know that I grew tired of watching The Pastor and Jesse encircle around Bill as if he were the last Great White Hope.
Faith Hill and her struggle voice be damn, she was going to get the spirit.
It was nice to see Tyler Perry and half the cast of “The Haves and the Have Nots there”.
Chaka, I’m going to excuse your performance because I know that you are normally prepared. But that was an awkward performance to get through.
JHUD, Fantasia, and Stevie Wonder brought me to tears.
No comment on Ariana Grande’s performance, she did alright but I wished that MiMi would’ve showed up and showed out. As for Ariana’s dress, not everyone is born and raised and church so I simply wasn’t expecting much from her attire. But boy did her cracked out looking fiance look out of place there.
I saw Whoppi getting the spirit in the audience and I peeped her sitting next to Valerie Simpson.

  • Reenaface

I think we saw two different things because I saw horn dog Bill peeping at the back of Grande’s thighs. And I saw Jesse doing the same thing. They’re horny men and I expect nothing more of them it was funny pointing it out thoguh.

  • Reenaface

Ariana is abruzzo Italian she’s tweeted about it before so unless she became Hispanic overnight it’s all much to do about nothing. ??????I think the Pastor was a bit smitten by her and her itty bitty dress just barely covering her nether regions.?

  • https://www.thewhatsup.org Hair Lova ???

I liked Fanny better than Jhud personally. And I love JHud. I think so was way too extra. Fanny sang, and that was it. No extra, no frills just church singing.

  • https://www.thewhatsup.org Hair Lova ???

When you step into a church you are not supposed to wear anything above the knee. So not only was she in a church, but she was at a funeral. With a dress on that hit just below her ass.

    ?????

  • E-VannaRootsAllEvil

Aretha knew she was dying. Whitney didn’t u know…

  • Kimocha

I think Bill is very disrespectful towards his wife Hilary… And yes… That’s a black man thing…lmao!

  • Robert lee Bennett OG

Black church got a deep history of homosexuality and child molestation whites definitely understand

  • friendofblog

Molestation according to Webster’s: to make annoying sexual advances to; especially : to force physical and usually sexual contact on. That would include groping breasts.
He’s a pervert who is so comfortable doing it because no one probably hasn’t checked him; just shrugging it off.

  • E-VannaRootsAllEvil

Yup just thinking that. And sound way Betta may I add

  • Ang

It’s annoying that the attention is being taken off Aretha and her grieving family.

  • Meme

Oh dear Ariana Ariana looked like she forgot the bottom bit to that outfit, surely some trousers/ leggings / skirt was supposed to go under that, one wrong move and everyone would have seen exactly what was going on down south. But what made me really cringe is the reverends hand gripped on her boob very uncomfortable to watch

  • Kimocha

What did you think of Ron Isley’s performance? I’m worried about him… something wasn’t right…

  • Reenaface

Shoot! I missed his performance because I was skimming through many of the speakers. I hope Ron is okay!

  • Kimocha

    Girl… me too…

  • dinedaaka

Oh OK I’m just trying to understand so slavery in your opinion didn’t happen in the Caribbean?

  • the guest

    Loved seeing legendary Valerie Simpson.

Loved Whoopie’s beautiful reverence for Aretha.

Fantasia and Jennifer Hudson are inheritors of the throne.

  • dru and neil

The pastor is getting tore up for grabbing her by the side boob. Is she dressed like a hussie at a funeral, yes, but still doesn’t mean folks have the right to touch. I wouldn’t have thought too much of it until I noticed her body language and she was definitely leaning and pulling away. Most of us women know what that feels like and how uncomfortable it is. Men, if a woman is leaning “away” from you when you pull her into an embrace she’s uncomfortable.

  • the guest

To me, Reverend Sharpton and Reverend Jackson were visibly unimpressed with Ariana Grande and I was pleased to see them respectfully annoyed by her. Showed their realness.

Hilary will get her rewards in Heaven for standing by her husband for a lifetime. Bill Clinton is trying man to be married to.

  • dru and neil

I went to church for the first time in a while and noticed that Sunday best has been downgraded as well. Lots of women in platform five inch heels, skirts well above the knee and no panty hose and because we were southern baptist, I was just used to things being so much more conservative. I guess times have just changed. Maybe I’m still holding on to old expectations and need to adjust though. Lot of folks online don’t seem to care about Ariana’s hoe dress at the fune.

  • Peace

Would have loved to see Valerie Simpson do a song/tribute on the piano she should have sang Natural Woman while playing ? Epic RESPECT to the Queen.

Instead of that long obituary being read, some nice photos of Aretha through on the jumbo screens read silently there are so many of her online in the studio etc. She really was beautiful gifted and so talented.

It was rushed and not properly planned. Too many major acts thrown together and therefore competing.
But her send off was nice.
Her life lived was her obituary and her songs our memories to enjoy 4ever. R.I.P. Ms. Franklin

  • Reenaface

I wonder if Whoopi supported Mehghan at John McCain’s funeral. I saw a snippet of Mehghan’s speech which was moving but poor thing was crying through it.

  • Yetunde

Is she not able to open her mouth properly? She’s singing the first verse through her lips. Also, she does that thing that mediocre singers do when they can’t hit the notes. They pull the microphone away from their mouths.

  • Peace

Exactly. Pastors hug people all the time.

  • YoursTrulyAlisa

Folks hollering about the Bishop. She is a damn stick. I don’t think he was trying to feel her breast. And the joke about her name was funny. If anything the focus should be on that tunic she called a dress. Look like seamstress was pinning the dress for a fitting. Somebody in her camp should hv known. Had those church ladies mouth just a frowning saying “No not in the Lords house” young ass strumbet.”

  • TransMichelle

Dam near every sinner in the music industry and some in politics was at Retha’s funeral.

  • Bonita

Incorrect. It happened, but we were already in the Carribean, just like we were already in America. They invaded our land which is what they’re good at. And aint nothin changed. As you see today, they’re still invading other people’s land.

  • TransMichelle

Hillary ain’t no piece of cake either. You know old Bill ain’t hitting that don’t cha?

  • Li-Wright

I agree. It was a joke, geez!

  • YoursTrulyAlisa

Jesse didn’t know who or where is was.

  • TransMichelle

No you fine. It’s just society has gone to hell literally.

  • Li-Wright

Most singers will tell you that their voice isn’t Open in the morning, so I give faith a pass. I know one TV station was talking to Stevie early in the morning and he said he couldnt sing because it was too early.

  • TransMichelle

Retha had 2 children by the age of 15 and the oldest one has some handicaps I heard.

  • ?? Kari ?????????

Really? Lack of respect? I would say using potus’ name during her service was disrespectful! Why can’t the damn fools just let her have a furneral?

  • Bonita

When’s the last time you heard a West African talk about his ancestors that were taken as slaves and put on a slave ship to America or the Carribean? You don’t. Because they know that isn’t their history. That’s what Anglo Saxons have programmed us Blacks to believe is our history via the educational system “they” put together for us here in this country.

  • YoursTrulyAlisa

Right?! He seemed a bit out of it. Times I thought he was going to break down in tears. He always wears dark glasses but I don’t remember that dark. The beginning I was like WTH. But it didn’t take long to hear the Mr. Big. I did like it better than the opera singers. Hands down Chaka showed off lyrics on the back of fan and all. The other gospel singers we know what to expect. Chaka was singing as she was going off stage. Clinton was so tired most the older folks it was their nap time

  • EMILY POST

She is not of the culture… Her outfit was not befitting of a funeral.. but thats not shocking.

  • KcoolMuziq

I actually thought Chaka turned it out!.It was one of the best performances to me.Even with her cheat notes on the back of her matching fan.Lol

That puzzled me why Mariah wasn’t asked? I mean Aretha did cover her hit song”Touch My Body”. LMAO
    https://youtu.be/YVawmqtn818

  • KcoolMuziq

Ariana is sticks & bones it’s really nothing to even feel on. The Bishop made it clear he wasn’t even impressed by making the Taco Bell joke without acknowledging her soulless performance.

  • noted24

The behavior of those men in that pulpit was much worse than that girl’s dress! So what if she shouldn’t have been there, it still doesn’t warrant the disrespect Ariana was given. She didn’t deserve to be groped, nor did that man have any right trying to clown her. She’s more known than majority of those people that were there! I’m not even surprised that people are looking past that disgusting behavior and focusing on her singing and dress. The black chruch is just as bad as the Catholic Church, they just don’t need an elaborate system to hide their transgressions. The members are always willing to look away and just use it as a chance to gossip, instead of doing anything about it. Or blame the victim as we see so many comments doing now.

  • FukkFolks2018

her mom was at fune with her so mama must not know either.

  • dinedaaka

Um, I do hear that. One of the nations in Africa apologized for their participation in the slave trade. Also, I thought that they have tours that go to the ports where they held the slaves. I can’t speak for anyone else but my family is from Haiti and that history of the Haitian Revolution is well documented as well as the history of the Taino/Arawaks natives that were indigenous to the island.

  • the guest

    AMEN.

  • the guest

    Thank you!

  • the guest

I’ve been asking on so many message boards, no answer as to why Mariah was not there and was not asked to perform? I don’t understand that.

  • the guest

I give a Faith a pass because she sang with her heart and she sang good ole fashioned country church praise. When you still praise and worship even when your voice is not perfect.

  • the guest

Meghan McCain is a trooper. Her strength has been remarkable. Remarkable.

  • the guest

    Amen to this.

  • Yup, I said it

Screw Bishop! No one is beyond reproach or correction. He don’t need to be grabbing and holding onto nobody like that except his wife. It was inappropriate, that couldn’t have been my child because I would have wailed on that nasty ole c&!ns head.

  • KcoolMuziq

    He apologized.

  • the guest

He has tried his wife’s heart, love, patience, sanity, to the ends of the earth. Her peace will be in Heaven. It seems like the only peace and joy he has given her on earth is their daughter. I think he was her first and only man and when they were young he charmed her for life. Even strong women can be weak for a man they’re in love with.

  • the guest

I saw Bill grinning and gawking. But I saw Al and Jesse clearly displeased.

  • dru and neil

Nobody was impressed by her presence there this is true, but when a woman pulls away, don’t keep pulling her in because that can be misinterpreted big time.

  • dru and neil

Lol to hell in a hand basket you’re right!

  • the guest

I’d like to see his reaction if another pastor hugged up on his daughter like that. That’s how you can tell a man know he’s wrong if he wouldn’t want that for his own daughter.

  • tia

    Agreed!

  • KcoolMuziq

This #Metoo movement has made even a preacher standing in front of hundreds guilty of something that was not even that serious.

  • Yui

lol, you know the netizens don’t care about the deets. They be ready with their pitchforks and will beat a dead horse until its dust.

  • Wreckognize Game

Auntie with all due respect this isn’t Bishop Paul S Morton. This is Bishop Ellis who was on the Preachers of Detroit.

  • Yui

Ariana is short, he accidentally touched her there—it happens.

  • Reenaface

Wow! I never knew that Aretha covered ” Touch My body”. Yeah, it was weird that MiMi wasn’t asked to show up. Chaka and her ” cheat notes’. Lol!

  • Reenaface

I’m sorry but Faith has been in the industry long enough as well as other singers to know how to properly take care of their voice. If it’s early in the morning why not drink some hot tea and try not talking until the performance or suck on some throat lozenges. It’s why I get pissed at singers like MiMi, and Whitney(RIP) because they did not protect their voice, which is an investment. Lay off the cigs and alcohol for a change.

  • Reenaface

I thought it was just me. And I didn’t want to make fun of him because he has Parkinson’s disease. But, Everytime he stood up he looked frozen in place.

  • Peace

He grabbed her boob like 3 times

  • Li-Wright

just THIS year she was recording! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DK4uJOxL_Sc

  • Robert lee Bennett OG

What did she say about trump?

  • Fire & Ice

Co-sign! The way he groped her is disgusting!!! I can only imagine the sh*t he’s done behind the scenes, and gotten away with. So much sick sh*t goes on in these churches, yet people look the other way. Pastors sleeping with the congregation, destroying marriages, messing with underage girls/boys, sleeping with men, stealing church money etc. YET, some nuckle head will quote a scripture to justify the bullsh*t, and continue supporting these demons.

  • Rhyme and Reason

I didn’t think Ariana was being disrespectful, in the least bit!

She had recorded with Aretha, PLUS, her fan base was so diverse, which helped make her the undisputed Queen of Soul and those millions!

And, the church has changed for many congregations, the dress code goes from church to beach to club apparel!

I’ve seen way worst like strapless, bra less, or with spaghetti straps, tight-fitting, thigh high dresses and shorts, and couples all hugged up, like they’re on a date-night!

The pastor thing, well, not sure, but he didn’t know who she was, and was too touchy.

  • Rhyme and Reason

Aretha Franklin never limited herself musically, and stayed active throughout her career!

    Thanks for the link!

  • Fire & Ice

Her peace will be in heaven huh ???. That is a trying man to be married to though….. chillllllddddd ?

  • Fire & Ice

Bingo! He would be ready to whoop somebody’s ass, if that was his daughter.

  • Fire & Ice

Can you imagine him behind the scenes?!?! I bet he’s constantly cheating on his wife.

  • Rodmilla De Ghent

    girl me the fuvk too

  • Logan Roberts

This skank wore a 2 Live crew move something dress to a funeral.

Dominicans would be very excited to hear anyone refer to them as of European ancestry. Dominicans are the most African of the Afro Latin diaspora.

    Ariana Grande is white.

    Dominicans are NOT WHITE.

DOMINCANS may wish they are, but they are NOT WHITE.

  • the guest

Guess what? So are Haitians. Haitians are also of European, Spanish and French, Taino, and African ancestry. Haiti is a part of the Latin diaspora. Colorists try to disassociate Haiti from the Latin diaspora.

Dominicans, whether white skinned or black skinned, all, every last one of them, ARE NOT white and DO NOT look white.

Clinton was at Aretha Franklin and John McCain funeral. When it became clear that the funerals would be on the same weekend, I think the presidents sent Clinton to Aretha’s funeral as the presidential representative with the Obama and Bush sending letters.

I feel if the Obamas could attend two On the Run Tour concerts in the last three weeks and John McCain’s funeral, they absolutely could have been at Aretha’s funeral. Aretha ALWAYS showed up and was present and there for President Obama.

Did you notice the young musicians in the orchestra giving Clive Davis the side eye. They’re facial expressions was like we know your are no friend to musicians.

  • the guest

I didn’t hear a bad note from Faith, so I don’t know what people are talking about.

  • Cinnamon Brown

Annndddd you are wrong I’m a singer and morning singing is hard as hell warm up be damned.. your voice is a muscle and when I say it has to warmed up I really mean it.. never mind having to fly and being in a hotel which effects your voice in a negative way.. and FYI throat lozenges are for colds not the protection of your voice..

  • Reenaface

Okay and that’s your opinion but you came at me like I personally offended you when it’s okay to have differing opinions. I thought that Faith’s voice cracked and struggled at some points.

  • Reenaface

I’m not wrong just opinionated, congrats to you though for being a singer.????????

  • Tamara Artis-Dawkins

Ok but she was singing “You Make Me feel like a Natural Woman” is that a hymn??? Oher so called women of the church had on sequin Mother Shirley and others womens dresses were tight…. not defending her just asking for a friend. lol

  • MRiGOThim

People (WOMEN) were offended then…just didn’t speak up about it :P

  • dinedaaka

I don’t have to guess. Both of my parents are Haitian and I took the DNA test and was 6% Spanish, I also had French, British and Syrian ancestry also and I look 100% Black!

  • Fire & Ice

    ???

  • DeepThinker

She came in performance mode, not to pay respects. Her dress should have been tea length at least. I don’t think she realized she was not appropriate as most youngins her age come to church dressed like that these days or with other tight outfits.

He’s the fall guy for her mediocre performance.

Did they apologize because it really happened, or were they offered something in exchange to apologize in support of America’s narrative that it really happened? Everything is always more believable when someone supports your claim. And in terms of them holding tours, so what. I can decide that I’m going to advertise that I’m holding tours in my house because I live in Chicago and I want people to believe Barack Obama stays here for privacy and to throw off the paparazzi when he’s in town instead of his home in Hyde Park. Does that make it true, no, but somebody is going to believe it and take the tour, because sheep will believe whatever they’re told, due to a desire to believe in something. You should be questioning any and everything. Where’s these alleged slave ships? You mean to tell me that White folks didn’t hang on to at least one keepsake to show off in a museum for future generations to see? Wood ships couldn’t sustain a 3 to 4 month journey across the ocean with hundreds of slaves. The weight of all those slaves, combined with the salt water would’ve destroyed that ship in no time. Those slaves would’ve never made it alive if those wood ships could sustain. They would’ve died from disease and dehydration. There were no water filtration systems back then to filter the oceans salt water. So any fresh water that would’ve been brought aboard would’ve only been enough for the crew for that length of journey. I encourage you to practice critical thinking skills. Because these stories don’t add up.

So you fell for that ancestry mess? The government is behind those ancestry gimmicks. You basically voluntarily gave up your DNA for them to create clones of you and anything else they desire. And in exchange they took your money for some made up ancestry to satisfy your hunger of knowing where you came from. They sold you a lie. It’s no different than when they tell you to adopt one of the African kids that they show you with the runny nose and big stomachs on t.v. And how your money will put that kid in school, put a roof over their head, provide them with three meals a day. And then, they’re going to send you pics of your kid, and that kid will write you so that you two can correspond. It’s just a hustle! Those kids don’t have physical addresses to receive a letter from you, they don’t speak, read, or write English, but watch how fast you’ll start getting correspondence from them. lol It’s all a bunch of trickery. Nothing is what it seems.

You have White Dominicans and Black Dominicans, just like you have Black Puerto Ricans and White Puerto Ricans. And yes the White ones do look White. I’ve vactioned there and seen them with my own eyes.

  • Bonita

I didn’t watch it but I believe it.

  • Bee jaay Cee

Yep. Laying hands but forgot to pray.

  • Bee jaay Cee

    I been waiting too.

  • dinedaaka

I didn’t need the test to know my ancestry. That was already verified through family history.

The way she swallowed words in her mid register caused her to flat out and this was totally disrespectful. They knew her runs were flat from Fallon’s show. No respect for the Queen.

There is no such thing as an unopen voice period. Unless you have nodules or your chords are coated with mucous(easily remedied) your instrument is prepared. Drunkenness, fatigue or sheer inadequacy may play a part.

  • Anji

Grammy nom here. All voices should be able to execute in the a.m. lol

  • Jussjess25

Ooop yess lmfaooo you right ???????

I hate that. Aretha passed away but come on. An 8 hour funeral. She went home to be with the Lord and savior. I hope the repath didn’t turn into a block party.

#respect however you know that isn’t factual lol your voice is at its weakest in the am.. and even worse after traveling.. and even with that said every singer has off days.. we are human the body is a funny thing and question are you a singer ? Just asking cause if you have tips for a.m singing share !!!

  • Cinnamon Brown

I respect it ! Most ppl think singing is something you do but it way more than you think.. your whole body has to be right to sing.. from breath support down to the shoes you have on everything has to work together

  • Jeloi

I too felt her dress was too short, but she has a right to wear whatever she wants. I know who she is but had never heard her sing. She has a beautiful voice! I felt that all of the singers voices were off, and felt that it could be the system the church has that was causing so many issues and not the individual who was singing. And I agree Faith didn’t sound so good to me, but again none of them sounded good, “church system.”

Who are the behind the scenes coons co-signing this mess?!

*The powers that be, the elite are behind this mess. In the words of Stephanie Mills they want Black music but they don’t want Black faces singing Black music*

You brought up Cardi B and Ariana Grande there is a marketing ploy that the Elites keep pulling when it comes to other races singing/rapping music that is similar to Black music. Ariana is nothing but an updated version of Mariah Carey. She sings like her and looks like her and they market her to be racially ambiguous to the masses, while some of us sit back and wonder is she or is she not Black/Hispanic. They pulled the same marketing ploy with Mariah Carey back in the day.
Black people wouldn’t be such a target if we had an actual culture to protect if there were some safeguards in place to protect our culture while weeding out the coons and the sellouts.

  • Reina1718

Like she picked this out herself! Come on yall u kno she had a stylist

  • Trace da Ace

damn…yall act like the girls ass and titties were out!!! But If Beyonce wore that to the service…it would not have been a problem…..but the singing was a little off for Ariana….point is, the girl paid tribute….and that is how she wanted to do it….damn..some folks always want to nit pick somebody…..it was a great service…but long as hell…anyways…RIP.

  • Candance

I think that she realized how short and the occasion once on stage. sometimes we as women wear things and it doesn’t seem bad until it is. She has long legs and she thought it was a full skirt but it wasnt… you live and learn. Shes good! Her bad!
