Lil Wayne

Rumors of gunshots fired at a Lil Wayne concert sparked a stampede at the A3C Music Conference in Atlanta on Sunday night.

Wayne's concert closed out the 3-day music conference at the Georgia Freight Depot in Atlanta on Sunday. Video obtained by WSB-TV shows the chaos that erupted as hundreds of Lil Wayne fans made a mad dash for the exits.

Concertgoers described the stampede on

"Crowd at @a3c just started stampeding away from the stage, a few min into Lil Wayne’s performance," Cherie Hu tweeted. "No one knows what exactly happened—some say a brawl spiraled out of control—but security is now evacuating the entire venue. i am safe and will update as i learn more."

12 people were injured in the chaos, none seriously. Multiple people were treated at a local hospital and released.

Atlanta police say they were no gunshots fired at the concert. The A3C organizers released a statement saying there were no gunshots and the stampede was caused by a fight that broke out in the crowd.

Wayne flew to Atlanta directly from the BET Hip Hop Awards held at the Fillmore Miami Beach, where he won an award on Saturday, October 6, in Miami Beach, Florida.

Old school concert were never like this. I was at a 40,000+ festival and the worst you had was people passing out from heat/ alcohol/ drugs.
I spend $300 for a concert/ festival, I am going to be calm as a mofo. Believe that!

This sounds silly, although with all the recent concert shootings I can't blame people for being ready to bounce

Black folk don't play when we hear gun shots. We don't stand around trying to figure out where the shots came from or whose shooting; we out that bish.

I saw a video on one of these blogs and that mess was crazy smh reminded me of when I was young and use to go to concerts and all hell break loose that be the worst scariest moments in life

Back in the day in Oakland, Cali @ the Oakland Coliseum where the Raiders & Warriors play they use to have 'Concerts On The Green' and I remember this happening, not once, but at least 2 or 3 times throughout the day. All of a sudden people just started running and you wouldn't know why, but you ran. I was a kid with my friends back then, but if I had fell, I would've been crushed.

You couldn't pay me attend a 'modern' rap concert.

  • Sassie

    Me either.

  • Gloria

Well I'm glad no one was seriously hurt but gunshots at a lil wayne concert is not shocking. I mean doesn't he rap about killing people? Oh Ok.

  • Mama Dee’s Wig Maker

Glad I chose not to go out there last night. Sad this happened. This event is usually chill.

  • Waya Hedia

Yeah. It is funny as hell.

  • Alicia.Ashe

Glad no one was seriously injured.

  • millz

Girl them tickets were $35!!! You are so right I was there and the crowd was ?

  • millz

Ok so I was there... he was literally on stage ten minutes going into his third song... there was a fight in the front so the crowd started moving back... which caused pushing and shoving making more fights... people started running... the shots were fired outside the festival which made the people run back inside trying to get to the emergency exit that was on the other side of the area... there are people running out... looking around to spectate... the people on there cameras... and the ignorant people trying to pickup dropped items... it was horrible!!! This new Atlanta and it’s lames is so annoying the whole day I noticed how the crowd was so weird... the grown folks didn’t really get there until around 7 when dipset went on and they were mostly backstage and in the vip area... I’ve been some of everywhere and clubbing since a teenager and never experienced anything like last night! I’m good on certain venues especially the freight depot! There was a main entrance/exit and one emergency exit.

Oh man that is the WORST feeling ever I def can relate to you and then I really hate to see the little babies that some ppl take out there some ppl be having 3 and 4 kids and if something happens them babies cant run they little bodies will be crushed :( just an all around sad situation at some of these events

  • Reenaface

This is why I tend to avoid rap concerts because of the dark energy causing people to show out and show off. I'd rather seeing a legend perform instead.

  • Ni Ni

Glad you made it safely. I will watch whoever on tv chile. I aint got the time.

  • millz

The dark energy was trouble from duck tape!!!!! When he came out I told my friend that!!! OMG ? him and his entourage gave me a bad feeling!!!

  • Reenaface

And Lil Wayne looks bad health wise. He looks like he literally came out of hell... Must be those dark energies that he harbors in his environment.

  • Reenaface

This reminds me of the times in Boston when I was younger and myself sisters would tell me how the gang members would be shooting at each in the movie theaters and people would have to duck down. One of their friends thought she was cute just standing in the middle of the aisle snacking on some twizzlers she just bought watching the shootout. Her ass was lucky that she didn't catch a bullet back then.

  • hi-liter

It’s time to give them over processed dreds ups buddy.

  • millz

  • Solstice

Freeform dreds ain’t for everybody.....he could look like an older Jacques if he got neater, more uniform dreds. The color makes them even more dreadful.

  • ClaireHuxtable

Smfh people still go to wayne concerts ? Wow

  • Goodii2Shoes

    And hair holds energy
I read his hair & became more repulsed than before,,which I had thought was at maximum until I actually saw the energy in that s***

  • Goodii2Shoes

Bless them they tried!!! The real warriors know what it is!

  • Goodii2Shoes

Someone has to go do it. Most don't want to be anywhere near that energy. ,,,

  • Goodii2Shoes

Wayne 'nem (that whole ganggang bs including the crack addict "music execs") only have a dark unhealthy energy around them. Giving them "fan energy " is being turnt back around & replacing the "fan energy " with negative, personal energy that will have to be assessed to determine if you've learned ur lesson or need more "guidance" on the issue... that weird energy u spoke of is the warning signs... some stuff is intuitive ... being a "fan's distance " away from some of those things only allows ppl to be victimized bc they aren't close enough to read /feel the energy (mentally or spiritually...)
