Kim Porter's autopsy has been completed, but her cause of death is "deferred" pending the results of laboratory tests including a toxicology screen.
Porter's death certificate was obtained by The Blast.
The coroner usually defers (reporting) the cause of death if the results of blood tests are needed to make a final determination.
Porter, 47, died suddenly of cardiac arrest at her home in Toluca Lake, California on Nov. 15. Her time of death was listed as 11:40 a.m.
Friends say she battled the effects of the flu and possible pneumonia in the weeks leading up to her death.
She will be buried in Columbus, Georgia next to her mom, Sarah Porter, who died after a long battle with cancer in 2014.
Porter, who was a model and event planner, was the mother of three of rap mogul Sean "Puffy" Combs's 5 children -- 20-year-old Christian Combs, and 11-year-old twins D'Lila Star and Jessie James, who will turn 12 next month.
Porter was also mom to Quincy Brown, son of music veteran Al B. Sure!. Quincy mourned his mom in an Instagram.com post on Monday.
In the caption of a photo that shows him posing with his mom and twin siblings, he wrote:
"I am broken... & the only thing that makes sense right now is that you were way too good for this silly world we live in. I love you so much MOMMY. Please give Mee-Maw the biggest hug and kiss for me".
Sean Combs, who held a private homegoing celebration for Porter on Sunday, continued to pay his respects to her on Instagram. He posted a video of the mom-of-4 dancing. "She liked to dance," he captioned the video.
