Usher Raymond

Police in Los Angeles arrested a burglar who targeted the high end homes of R&B crooner Usher and an unidentified Real Housewives reality TV cast member.

The man is suspected of burglarizing Usher’s Spanish-style villa in Los Angeles after attending an open house when the home was listed on the market in March 2018.

The thief stole $20,000 in cash as well as jewelry and watches totaling $800,000, according to WENN.com.

Law enforcement sources told reporters that the suspect attended open houses to scope out the properties and returned later to carry out the burglaries. The suspect reportedly explained his newfound wealth to his family members by saying he did well in the stock market.

Usher’s estranged wife Grace Miguel alerted the authorities after her housekeeper looked in a jewelry box on the nightstand and noticed the jewels were missing. A safe containing cash was also missing.

Miguel told police she believed the thief unlocked a window while visiting the open house and returned later to burglarize the house. Security footage was unavailable. Police say the thief stole the security box and cut the wires.

The three-story 1920s Mediterranean-style mansion was listed in February and sold for $3.3 million at the end of the year, according to WENN.com.

Usher and Miguel announced their separation in March, and the R&B star filed papers to officially end their three-year marriage at the end of December.

The 40-year-old R&B singer was the subject of Internet memes after he posted photos of his new pompadour lacefront wig unit on social media. He wore the hairpiece to the Tom Ford runway show in Beverly Hills.
