Janet Jackson has landed the headlining spot at Britain’s Glastonbury Music Festival, according to UK’s The Sun newspaper. Glastonbury is England’s most iconic music festival. This will be Janet’s first ever Glastonbury appearance.

The 52-year-old American pop icon will take the stage at Worthy Farm in Somerset, England as part of a star-studded lineup that includes American pop singer Janelle Monaé, Stormzy and Kylie Minogue, according to WENN.com.

The 2019 Glastonbury Festival runs from June 26 to 30.

Janet was among the many celebrities and political figures showing their support to actor/singer Jussie Smollett who was allegedly attacked early Tuesday in downtown Chicago.

The 36-year-old Empire star claims he was assaulted by two men wearing ski masks while yelling racial and homophobic insults at him. Smollett claims the suspects threw bleach in his face and looped a “noose” around his neck.
