Television personality Tamron Hall shocked her fans when she announced she is pregnant with her first child. The 48-year-old former 'Today' host also revealed she secretly married the baby's father, "Steven".

Tamron announced the shocking news in a video on Instagram.com on Monday, March 4.

"When one song captures the personal news I want to share with you (yes, you)!" she captioned the video. The first-time mom posted a photo of her "Baby Shark” bump clad in a fitted white maternity dress.

Tamron, who has been romantically linked to fellow news anchor Lawrence O'Donnell and other Caucasian men, revealed her struggles to conceive a baby via in vitro fertilization and her concerns about her high risk pregnancy.

"I've wanted to share this news for many months and now finally my doctor has said I am in a safe place, at 32 weeks, to share my joy with y'all," Hall said in the photo caption. "So, it's clear a daytime talk show isn’t the only thing I've been trying to produce! There have been many tears, but today I embrace the smiles. My husband Steven and I are beyond excited!"

Tamron also announced her new talk show Tamron Hall will premiere on September 9, 2019.

Tamron was also VERY close friends with my musical idol Prince who adored her. He dedicated his single "If I Can Get your attention" which he used her picture for the cover in November,9 2015. He wasn't planning on going ANYWHERE. .https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/1bd772849fe8d1a1df2bba5d93d2a27bb765caad75c93c5191923e8ea0ea7d69.jpg

    Congratulations Tamron!!

  • Marlika

    Yay for Tamron

  • Harley

She did win the lottery in her mind she is happy, with the love of her life and having a baby.... you triggered?

  • leapyearpisces

Though I love mine most of the time, imma keep it a buck fiddy...children are OVERRATED! Don't get me wrong, they can be a joy, BUT definitely not something that if you done live without them 48 years of your life, TRUST you can live another 48 years without. All these celebrities romantacizing having all these change of life babies, but I wonder how involved are they really in the day to day raising, helping the children meet their milestones or are they leaving all the "work" up to nannies. Being pregnant and having the baby is the easy part, the hard part is investing in another human to the point you will give your life for theirs even when they don't deserve it, loving and caring for another being even though they don't appreciate you, loving another being even when they are being the worst version of themselves - that UNCONDITIONAL love. At any rate congratulations because I believe that every woman who DESIRES to be a mother, should have the opportunity to do so.

  • Harley

It’s a good look when your mature, financially stable and have the proper kind state to raise a child in this world! I commend her

  • Liah

    Congratulations ???

  • KJBibleonSlavePlantations

So I see this koon is having white massa baby--Supporting white supremacy to it's fullest!!

  • Dahl

    All. Of. This. ?

  • NewNew
  • http://batman-news.com Roderick2011

The reason behind his addiction wasn't shameless just weird like everything else about Prince.

  • Harley

Children are also a blessing to most. They are a burden when you aren’t prepared mentally, physically and financially. She seems financially stable enough to not have to work a 9 to 5 and leave her kids with strangers all day and she seems mature enough to withstand what comes with parent hood. My children are a blessing! I love every moment with them and overrated they are not!

  • Raquel

I'll worry about all of that when black people can collectively come together and respect each other and climb the economic ladder for the sake of wealth. We worried about "massa" but can't even get our own sh*t together when we have the means to. Tell me what black male was checking for her oh thou pro-black one?

  • Harley

    Just a troll block em

  • http://batman-news.com Roderick2011

So he could borrow some of her clothes.

  • Alextra Ballard

I remember them coming after her about her relationship with Prince. She wouldn't confirm or deny their relationship. She smile as to say nexxxxxxt!!!

  • teather

Raquel, you are correct. This divide and conquer mentality is truly taking over. They keep talking massa but don't realize he's still doing his work through comments like that. NOBODY was checking for Tamron. When you reach a certain status, our own men are no longer interested. Facts. But I will not bash them for they are free to make any choices they like in a wife/lover/gf, just as Tamron is. We've been watching this for years, as soon as one of us does it, it's the end of the world. Like Serena, she TRIED so hard to get with one of ours and they all dissed her. Next.!

  • teather

Happy For Tamron! She's a beauty, smart and patient. Sometimes your bundle shows up late other times early. For her, right on time! Happy for you, Tam!

  • Logan Roberts

I hope so, because that show is dryer than my meatloaf.

  • Logan Roberts

Congrats Tamron!!! You even make pregnancy look glamorous, sexy & classy. I bet she would've made Prince the Godfather.

  • jsfayce

    moon bump to the max

  • KJBibleonSlavePlantations

    Good!

  • Eileen

I am happy for her. Finally happiness!

  • KJBibleonSlavePlantations

How about the regular 9 to 5 corporate ones and not the celebrity ,NFL and NBA ones, but a black woman in the states will marry Massa if he makes considerably less than her--Serena anyone.

True- or u can do all that in your teens, 20s and 30s then have children when u have actually achieved wealth, more patience and wisdom.
The health issue is easily circumvented with $20k for egg selection and healthy living.
A fit 48 yr old can be in markedly better shape internally than the average fast food over weight sedentary 25 yr old.

  • Faithz

    Bless you Tamron.

  • Chocolate

Awww Congrats! She is so pretty and looks healthy...she has the resources to balance out her age and pregnancy, so I’m sure her and baby will be just fine!
I’ve decided to wait until later myself so I began extended fasts at age 19 (they preserve your egg count and significantly slows down egg aging) and purposefully chose a job that provided a $15k fertility benefit that was transferable.
I’m vegan, work out and will most likely just have to do the genetic screening of my eggs Bc I still have plenty of healthy ones left.
I just didn’t want time or baby fever to dictate who I would marry.
Just figured I’d share that bc a lot of women aren’t aware of these alternatives.

Not for the reasons you think and no she didn't but continue with the 4 likes by the peanut gallery.?

These people on blogs are loony and don't see the bigger picture black men have to broaden the dating pool besides African American women they are becoming detrimental to the race well some are I love Jacquie Reid and Jill Scott for not busting it open for anything white .?

  • Michelle

    She's a trip...Lol...

  • Hazel

Yes. And if women have the option to wait, they can choose their partner more carefully, and have a vibrant, healthy home for their kids; which is most important.

  • MoneyMillz

Kevin Eubanks, who was Jay Leno's old band leader on his show was checking for her. Even invited her on Leno's show to holler at her. We really don't know what other brothers were checking for her. Unless we were in her personal life.

She is beaming with joy and it's wonderful to see! Happy to hear of her marriage and blessing on the way!

  • SmellyMel

They don’t like accomplished black woman because they are tough as nails and bossy as f-ck. Very few of them can keep their boss mentality out of the home so the black men choose the easy going Becky or the broke ass Keisha who will do anything for some red bottoms. White men are not afraid to share the load with a woman and they know their role as men so they’re secure in it and not threatened by her brains, money, or independence.

  • justlooking

    Beautiful news. Congratulations

  • Dez Nuts

And you SHOULD DO YOU. I LOVE my children, and they will tell you I am a good, and most of the time an awesome mom, but I get tired of people trying to romanticize parenthood like it's this amazingly blissful experience, because it is not. Just like in any other relationship, be it marriage, friendship, etc. it has it peaks and valleys, and it has to be something you are willing to work at and invest in, because everyday will not be sunny, but most parents will tell you the peaks outweigh the valleys, but a lot of times people try to romanticize being a parent like it's this euphoric experience when in reality it's a job that requires the ultimate level of commitment, and everyone ain't able. I commend you for not succumbing to pressure and saying you want to do you first because a well-balanced, happy parent produces a well-balanced happy child, for the most part.

But when the child barely turns 30 she will be closing in on 80, that is a horrible thing to do to a child. Just adopt if its that serious. The joy of having a child is a godo thing, but at 50, that is just selfish.

  • MJF

How is bringing a child into the world selfish? A 30 year old should be able to sustain themselves right? You people kill me.

My sister passed away at 41 and left behind a 15 year old daughter. When it's your time to go, you're going to go! You can become a parent at 25 and pass away at 30 for various reasons. Would that be selfish too?!

  • MJF

And she won't? Lol, there's no basis to your argument so I'll exit to the left. Have a great day.

Unless you CHOOSE suicide, nobody determines WHEN they die.

  • Yoni7

My mother had me at 39 (turned 40 two weeks later). She is currently 82 as I am 42. A CHILD is NOT 30 years old. At 30 you should be GROWN enough to have already hit milestones in YOUR OWN life.

    It's a Panamanian Puff Cake.

  • Jefferey Franklin

Its not about the child sustaining themselves, its about the child losing her parent at such a young age. Or even worse having to take of the mother if she is ailing or worse. Having a child at 50 is selfish because that is something she wants to do for her, despite what the effects are on a child who wont get to have the experience of a younger mother who they can grow up with.

  • Jefferey Franklin

This is all true, just saying for her to save some time and help a child that's already here, but she likely wants to have the experience of mother hood...

My wife's mother had her at 37 and my wife has spent the majority of her life taking care of her mother. I don't see how this will child will fare any better with a mother who is 50. By the time the child 16 her mother will be 66 4 years from 70. If she has great health great, but if she doesn't then that child is burdened with taking care of the parent as opposed to the other way around.

  • Yoni7

that child is burdened with taking care of the parent

    Congrats Tamron Hall! So amazing!

  • Jefferey Franklin

Its not amazing, its retarded and she needs to let the dream go.

  • Misunderstood

Speak for yourself! Not every woman is interested in starting a family while in their teen and twenties. What's selfish is to have a baby just because everyone else thinks you should.

  • onelove

she waited a longggggggggggggggggggggggggg time to get pregnant.Good Luck to her because she damn nere going to need it! ghezze!!!

I have a couple family members that have done it. They seem to be faring pretty well. There kids are born with unusual wisdom. And being that the parents are older, the tone is set for the kids' behavior. So, you have this 3 year old that acts 6.

  • elijoy smith

Did you really say "other caucasian men"? Trying to identify why that is important in this article.

  • Harley

Likes don’t move me. And YOU can’t decide what makes another person happy. Do what makes you happy and stop thinking you are judge and jury to others happiness

  • Harley

    ????

Who’s 48 with their knees hurting and retirement? What type of people do you surround yourself with? The women I know in their late 40s are athletic, financially secure and excited about life. My circle are mostly self employed so they have the freedom to vacation, raise a child and just live. Sounds like your 48 year old circle needs a better diet and exercise routine

  • WinterIsComing

I DONT KNOW ANY WOMAN WHO AT 48 WANTS A WHOLE FRESH BABY. I’m 30, and a kid at 48 is disgusting to me! I surround myself by beautiful succesfull professional Queens who had their children while married in their 30s. 48 screams desperation and longing for something that’s been missing. I don’t do low self esteem in my circle.

  • Harley

The fact that you are calling women hoes and projecting what you would want versus what others value screams immaturity and lack of knowledge. Some women focus on career and their mental space before deciding to settle down and have a relationship and family. What’s disgusting is your judgement toward others. I had my kids late in life and I’m so happy I was financially secure and mentally and spiritually ready. I don’t have to work a 9 to 5 and can actually travel the world with my kids and husband. And we are mature and secure enough in our relationship to raise our kids with no issues. Your 30 and have a lot of growing up to do ??

  • WinterIsComing

So you’re an hoe whose kids came out the womb with wrinkles hence you taking this post so personally. Got it!

  • Yoni7

    LOL

  • SpiceGirl

Oh I get that and that's what's up...My Auntie had her baby late in age...and I swear...my cousin is smart as a whip. I'm so set in my ways...I can not fathom a baby at this time in my life......BUT if it did happen...I would be .....ummmm......happy ; } lmbo

  • Jefferey Franklin

Didn't say you had to have a child younger. Just saying if your time passed then accept that and don't push trying to have a child that late in life because its your self goal. That's unfair to the child. That is my stance.

  • Misunderstood

Exactly who decides what time a woman should have a baby. Men always trying to dictate what a woman should do. Having babies just because others feel there is a certain time frame to do so is just plain dumb.

Good for her! I see a lot more young girls are now taking the time to personally grow and have successful career's! Remember being a baby mama and professional thot living off others isn't a career and won't last you a lifetime, but hard work will!

  • AListDiva29

People forget being a 20 year old baby mama isn't everyone's goal in life! SMDH!

  • gail jones

Ok. Ms. ?. Nice knowing ya. Gonna miss the garden. It was fun while it lasted.?!

  • MJF

Exactly, I agree! Smh, can I live first? With technology and science so advanced today, anything is possible.

  • Harley

Naw I’m not old nor a ho. But your a foul mouth skank. I commented on a public forum. If you aren’t intelligent enough to have dialogue then don’t comment in public. You truly sound like an ignorant person anyway. And because you have no real point you are deflecting by name calling. Praying for your spirit. Please don’t procreate

  • WinterIsComing

Lololol hit dogs will holler. Go take your AARP card and your old faced kids and skiddadle.

  • Jussjess25

    Ofcourse ?

  • Fodderwing

    ?

  • Fodderwing

    Right!!?

  • nora tee

like you cant die before 80...live YOUR life and let others do what makes THEM happy. Why don't you go adopt lol

  • nora tee

spoken like a man...do what you want with your ovaries...oh...U don't have any...go figure

  • Jefferey Franklin

What are you talk about right now? This is not a woman empowerment moment, its a common sense one. Having a child that late in life is wrong to the child, you rob them of a young agile parent and essentially rob them of the security of a healthy parent. Its selfish on her part because that is a life goal of herself. There is nothing wrong with that opinion.

  • Jefferey Franklin

You don't have to have ovaries to make an opinion on this situation. Its not me trying to tell her what to do with her body.......stop being ridiculous.....its simply looking at all angles of the situation
