When rap titan Jay-Z took to the stage at Webster Hall in NYC on Friday, he was dressed to impress in a black tux and an exclusive custom blue RM056 Tourbillon timepiece designed by luxury watchmaker Richard Mille. The pricey timepiece reportedly set Beyonce back $2.5 million!

According to VladTV, Jay-Z wore the watch during his B-Sides 2 concert at Webster Hall, where he brought legendary rapper Nas onstage with him. Jay spit a freestyle about Black people taking back their neighborhoods at-risk for gentrification. He also name-dropped his $2.5 million watch. – a gift from his adoring wife.

He rapped, “I should get a […] for words that unify/Black and brown youth to shoot through the sky/Blueprint on my wrist cost 2.5/Only thing that flips the script between you and I.”

According to GQ, the watch was customized by Jay-Z’s personal jeweler Alex Todd. The jeweler spent around 3,000 hours customizing a case for the watch, which Jay Z first wore to the recent NAACP Image Awards. Todd shared a photo of the watch on his Instagram (below).
