The gangland style murder of beloved West Coast rapper Nipsey Hussle has launched a thousand memes on social media.
Nipsey was shot multiple times outside his Hyde Park clothing store in South Los Angeles on Sunday. He was 33.
In one meme, the late rapper Tupac Shakur is depicted as an Angel who drapes a robe over Nipsey’s back. In another Heavenly meme, the late rappers Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac greet Nipsey who has just arrived at Heaven’s gate with his pass in hand.
In a sentimental meme to young Black men, an Instagram user explains why mothers worry when they don’t hear from their sons in a timely manner.
“Dear black man: this is why we call 100 times when you don’t answer, this is why we’re so overprotective. This is why we keep close watch on who y’all call friends this is why we’re all in your business at the end we take the biggest loss when they take y’all from us.”
