Nipsey Hussle’s fatal shooting was caught on camera. The rapper was shot multiple times and died outside his clothing store at 3:20 p.m. on Sunday.

The video footage is from a surveillance camera at a business located across the street from the strip mall at Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Blvd in Hyde Park.

In the video footage obtained by TMZ, a man is seen approaching Nipsey from a side alley. The shooting is not clear but a figure collapses to the ground several men run away. Then a second figure – believed to be the rapper – is seen collapsing to the ground behind the first shooting victim.

Police say the 33-year-old’s murder may have been part of a gang initiation. The shooter is probably associated with a gang, a police source told the LA Times.

Nipsey, who was born Ermias Davidson Asghedom, was a devout member of the Rolling 60s Crips street gang, according to his Facebook page.

Police are reviewing video footage from Nipsey’s Marathon Clothing Company and other nearby businesses in the strip mall.

Update: The killer has been identified as a Crip gang member from Nipsey’s Rolling 60s set who was asked by Nipsey to leave the Marathon Clothing store on Sunday morning. According to the streets the Crip member returned and retaliated against Nipsey. The murder was apparently personal and not gang-related.

In this zoomed in video below, the gunman’s reflection is seen in the storefront window as he approaches Nipsey and his crew and opens fire. Nipsey, who is wearing a white du-rag, collapses to the ground and rolls over on his back. The gunman runs out of the frame, then returns and shoots Nipsey several more times. The gunman then returns a 3rd time and kicks Nipsey in the head before he causally flees to a waiting vehicle.
