Jamal H. Bryant has only been appointed pastor at New Birth Baptist Missionary Church for a few months, but already he’s making a difference in the community.

Pastor Bryant has raised over $100,000 to help incarcerated inmates who don’t have money for bail.

Bryant exceeded his original goal of raising over $50,000 for bail money for inmates who are incarcerated due to non-violent offenses.

Pastor Bryant will join reality TV star and rapper Scrapp DeLeon; Judge Hatchett and Rashan Ritchey for “Bail Out Day” on April 20th in DeKalb County, Georgia.

Scrapp DeLeon, star of Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta (pictured center), was recently released from prison and he is raising awareness about the inequality and injustice in the prison system.

On April 20, Buses will roll to DeKalb, Cobb, Spaulding, Fulton and Rockdale Counties and bring designated inmates to the Anex at New Birth on their first stop before meeting with their family members.
