Shortly after the news broke that a Black actress would play agent 007 in the new Bond film, Bond 25, the Bond faithful took to social media to vent their outrage.

Captain Marvel actress Lashana Lynch will be cast as British secret agent 007 - a role that traditionally went to white male actors.

The Daily Mail reports that feminist screenwriter Phoebe Waller-Bridge thought it would be cute to cast a female 007, rather than cast hunky sexpot Idris Elba or another male actor with similar masculine pulchritude.

Twitter.com users were furious, but Waller-Bridge notes that Lynch isn't taking Craig's role, she's only taking his number - 007.

"There is a pivotal scene at the start of the film where M says 'Come in 007,' and in walks Lashana who is Black, beautiful and a woman," an insider tells the site. "It's a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he's been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman."

When Bond's old friend CIA agent Felix Leiter (James Wright) asks for his help, Bond comes out of retirement to help him.

"Bond, of course, is sexually attracted to the new female 007 and tries his usual seduction tricks, but is baffled when they don't work on a brilliant, young black woman who basically rolls her eyes at him and has no interest in jumping into his bed. Well, certainly not at the beginning," the source goes on dishing."

    ?????

  • Gloria

I’m here for black and brown people to play any roles outside of the typical thug, slave, and madea ish. Keep it coming.

  • http://thedevereauxshow.com Ms.Devereaux

Everybody keep getting upset over these fictional characters

  • Nophace

Correction: Mayo folks are upset that a Black Queen will be playing 007!!

  • Nik

The world isn't ready but WE are.?????

  • Nik

    Thank you!

  • http://thedevereauxshow.com Ms.Devereaux

That’s why folks mad they want blacks to continue to play hooker, ho, crack head, slave, maid, jiggaboo, loud and angry, crook killer thug , jester. But don’t want blacks to play charming witting intelligent crafty sleuths, upstanding wholesome family oriented super hero fairytale roles!

  • the guest

007 is not a man, it’s an agent number and assignment that to date only men who are white have been employed. Anyone can be assigned 007.

  • http://thedevereauxshow.com Ms.Devereaux

    ?? miracle whip you say

  • tintin

she's not well known, she's black and she's darkskinned.

    that sums it all up.

i even heard black radio hosts talking bout they ain't too sure of this. But I also think black people especially women were hoping Idris was gonna be the new JB. Oh well, i'm happy to see what she can bring.

  • iWasteTime

I wish white people got this mad about what is happening in real life as they do with these fictional characters ... smh

  • fawkery

Cuz a) Idris Elba should be first in line to play Bond b) Hollyweird is pandering to black women and c) she will either have a white zaddy or a white woman love interest and d) we rather Hollywierd stop being lazy and create new narratives with black actors

  • TransMichelle

Women (regardless of their skin color) are destroying once great movie franchises like Star Wars. Ghost Busters, Ocean's 11, Captain America and others..Can't wait to see Disney's new "Snow Black" or hear "I'm Dreaming of a Black Christmas".
    Oh dear....whatever

The same reason yall got mad when they tried to cast Zendaya to play Aaliyah in the biopic. The same reason yall would get mad if they would cast Megan Fox to play Storm in a future xmen movie

  • Trey

Man this is wack...I dont want some Agenda BS in James Bond

  • KneeSee

Oh how I wish this news didn't come out, and ppl had to see the movie to find out about it.

  • Wreckognize Game

Idris said he didn’t want to take that risk. They were giving him the bizness. If it failed would it be because of his acting or color?

  • Dontgetdraggedhoe??

They hate a beautiful talented DARK woman! I dont! I am happy af! Ima take my ass to see it on opening day! Shes fine afff ???

  • WhoKnew

    "...she's not well known, she's black and she's dark-skinned...
    that sums it all up."

  • WhoKnew

It don't matter to me who plays the role but it is nice to see not just a woman play the role but a woman of color get some shine. I had actually heard the role went to Idris Elba but I guess those reports were incorrect.

  • Trey

If she cant do all the stunt work that Daniel Craig used to do...throw her in the bushes....

  • Wreckognize Game

I really think a lot of the studios are giving new people a try because they are talented and to make a passive aggressive political stand.

  • Seldomseen

I want to implement a no shoe rule in my house, but I don’t know how I will get to and from the front door

  • tia

You know, I dont know? With the times were living in now, it seems everything is calculated and there's a motive. I suppose it's good move. Our Black attresses still have to fight for decent roles that are not subpar. However, I wonder will they throw a monkey wrench like a gay love interest? I hope not...my thing is dont use our people to promulgate all these different agendas.

  • Wreckognize Game

What about socks or hospital booties?

  • Dowoop

House slippers... We don't do shoes in my house.

  • Ghetto Real Name

Not sure why they are mad. As a lifelong Bond fan I can let them know there have been 2 dark skinned Bond girls in movies prior. Rosie Carver in Live and Let Die circa 1972. And May Day in A View To A Kill circa 1983. Played by a whole ass LEGENnnnnD (in my Joanee the Scammer voice), Grace Jones. Do some hw and education and hush. Tired of folk. Truly am.

  • fawkery

I'm skeptical about everything and I doubt there is any good motives. They will make her super masculine with a white woman or Latina lover. We are always the face of agendas.

  • Bossy704

They want more Black coins. Ya'll enjoy. Just cause it looks like its for you don't mean it is.

  • Dowoop

I wanted to see Idris.. ??

  • tia

I hear you and I'm in total agreement. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope they dont come with the foolery. But we already know how "they" operate.

  • fawkery

    fingers crossed and prayers up!!

  • LeeSeeCee

People are just afraid of anything that is different. I'm rooting for her. She was awesome in Captain Marvel. Had no idea that she was a Brit.

  • tia

    Yes indeed!

  • MrsSpice1

Yawns saltines DO NOT EVER SUPPORT THE RISE OF BLACKS in any shape or form! They only tolerate us but they don’t congratulate! Their hate and envy of african Americans ruin very deep!!! Blacks are evolving in many ways positive wise and its about damn time! We have a black princess a black mermaid and now a black bonds girl!!! Now thats #BLACKGIRLMAGIC #SaluteQueens???????

  • Dowoop

  • PLEASEDontTellMe

i keep a wicker basket of socks under a cushioned bench in my foyer. White socks.

  • OUBoyWonder

My thought is why can't we just get her to play a spy/ James Bond like character in her OWN movie? Like Jason Bourne, John Wick, Jason Statham type movies, yall get the idea. Why do we have to, yet again, take the crumbs from already established white folks stuff? First thing I thought when I saw this was "Ugh, yet another thing for us to try to latch onto whitey about when we could make our own franchise and not have to hear their damn mouths." But I'm sure some people will love the idea of a black female James Bond, I'm NOT one because its just another thing we could do our own flava with instead of following damn white folks all the time.

They have already had a lesbian Bond girl who ran an all lesbian crime org called the Cement Mixers. Her name was Pussy Galore. And she been around a LONG time before gay was the thing to be. Like since the late 50s. All I keep seeing is the word agenda in here. Im trying to figure out what agenda.

  • Bree

    Preach!!

  • Bonita

That's my house rule. My slides are my house shoes, and they don't step foot outdoors. Anyone that visits has to take their shoes off upon entry. I have a basket of clean socks by the door that guests can wear if they want.

  • OvertheMississippi

    I ain’t interested!

  • Bonita

"My thought is why can't we just get her to play a spy/ James Bond like character in her OWN movie?"
Because there's a lack of creativity in Hollywood anymore. That's why they continue to do reboots and remakes.

  • Li-Wright

I stopped watching the James Bond franchise after the first reboot, Casino Royale. I tried watching the 2nd one quantum solace, which was a total dud for me and I swore off Bond movies. It was time to retire him. He was originally a 1950s spy agent, not meant to go on and on and reboot over and over into the 21st century. The producers are going to hype this new Bond movie so high, and spend so much money on promos, to ad nauseum. I'm not going to see the new bond movie, I don't care who the new bond is.

  • Nophace

I haven't seen a Bond film in a long ass time and honestly, I won't be watching this one. However, I applaud the fact that she was even given the opportunity.

On another note: some ppl just love to complain about any and everything. Y'all act like this sh!t is taking food off your table. It's not that serious.....

  • T Willis

    Who would support it?

  • Li-Wright

The producers are putting the feelers out to see how the public reacts.
Me? I don't care, I'm not going to see it. Craig has said he's tired of doing the Bond role, he wants to do more dramatic stuff. But nobody's hiring him. I wonder why?

  • Nik

I see your point but I'm glad the sister is being cast. She's not a replacement for Bond but the role may open doors for her to be a recurring action character.

  • Blaque Mahogany

I may be in the minority (I haven't scrolled through yet), but I'm not excited about this or The Little Mermaid. I don't understand why they can't either: 1) make films based on already established black characters or 2) create new characters/films for blacks altogether. Idk stuff like this is very jedhi mind trick/ leftover scrap-ish to me. Yeah, I'm not celebrating this.

    But, congrats sis.

  • Nik

    ????????

  • Li-Wright

Idris has said he won't and doesn't want to play bond. Google his interviews.

  • Nik

I left my shoes at the door so that indicated after that point it's a no shoe zone. Keep some cheap socks or footies handy for people who are ashamed of their feet.???

  • Nik

Just said the same re: socks.

  • Blaque Mahogany

I didn't watch any of the Casino Royale et al sequels either. But, that was entirely due to the fact that I didn't find him attractive...at all...like not even a little bit.

  • Blaque Mahogany

I swear I did not see this before I commented. I agree 100%(obviously).

  • Rita

    Agree!

  • Blaque Mahogany

Lol. What do you mean you don't know how you will get to and from the door?

I have that rule in my house. Buy a nice shoe rack/bench thingy. Keep your go-to shoes there. Carry the other ones from your closet to the door and put them on there...when you come home, take them off and take them back to the closet. Very simple.

  • Blaque Mahogany

Smart and very nice. I don't really let people come over and the one's that do know the rules so I won't be buying any socks.

  • Bree

I totally agree with you. I'm done with the discussion.

  • Cali

Congratulations, BLACK WOMAN! No, I don’t phucking understand this lol but it’s ok, I’m still going to support it and it may be the best film I’ve ever seen? EDIT: I’m happy that dust is being paid to social media?

  • Blaque Mahogany

Smh. I wouldn't be surprised about C at all. Smh...they will probably definitely go that route.

  • C Mack

I’m so tired of reboots and remakes DAMN!

  • Guest

I heard they were saying he's too old. Yeah, ok.

  • Gloria

Why can't they do both? Remakes of classic movies are going to happen regardless. What is the issue with a person of color being cast to star in a fairytale movie AND a person of color to be cast in new, original movies (Examples: Sorry to Bother You, Dope, US, etc.) Black actors can and should do both - play original characters and new characters. Lets not limit them.

  • Rita

I thought it was supposed to go on, considering they kept having Different James Bond. At this point, I'm done. Especially Casino Royale, this bama started doing MissionImpossible stunts. Like, when Bond start doing this? How many tricks he's gonna have up his sleeves? Too much for a Spy Agent...

  • http://thedevereauxshow.com Ms.Devereaux

    My point exactly ?

  • Li-Wright

Rita you are so right!!! I think it was Quantum Solace I was watching and walked out on....he was fighting some dude on top of a moving train in a designer SUIT!!! I started laughing. I couldn't believe it. And yep, all those Mission Impossible stunts were not supposed to happy. He's a spy - dammit! He's not an acrobat.
But I'm getting burned out watching all those Mission impossible - John Wick - Fast and Furious action movies with all the impossible stunts and firepower. It all looks the same. :)

  • Rita

Dude, didn't want to at all...so they give him 50 million.

  • Miss Lady

Right, is there nothing left that Hollyweird can do, but remakes and sequels?

  • Alextra Ballard

Ither one because they are easy to maintain...just throw them in the wash or wash by hand

  • Brooklyn23

Off topic. I just read an article of some hunting couple who killed a lion for the fun of it. Then there's companies that support hunting and killing for fun? Wtf! I can understand hunting for food or clothes' but killing animals that's in their own habitat for the sport of it? Gtfoh. Then what people like that then escalate to killing humans for fun next? They showed the freaking couple posing in a pic kissing over the dead lions body. I'm not with it. At this point in life where humans are inhumane and I I like animals better ( as long as they don't fck with me) These mofos need to leave animals alone. I'm against zoos/aquariums I don't think it's cool to have animals in prison for humans entertainment. And then I heard about the story of a black dude (back in the days) had him locked in a cage/zoo type shit. I cant. Another thing why do blacks or anyone outside of whites celebrate 4th of July. I think that's foolish too

  • Alextra Ballard

I love? the 007 franchise... I am anxious tew see this as well

  • Blaque Mahogany

I think you are entirely missing the point. It is not about the actors. I said congratulations.

It's about black stories, folktales, myths etc. being told instead of re-imaging and re-imagining (temporarily) stories with white characters. It's about Hollywood actually investing in diversity by using its intellectual capital to create stories for black kids.

Lastly, I believe we are taking a very myopic and potentially detrimental view of this. If white people decided to take traditional Asian, Black, Hispanic or any other underrepresented demographic's character and make it white, would it be ok? Would it be ok to make Luke Cage, Bishop, or Blade Hispanic? I think its important for our stories to be told by us.

  • Let them eat cake

Last thing we black women need is more masculinization of the black woman in the media. we already have that image. this is one reason why feminism doesnt work for us. we need more roles where we are feminine and dainty and shown to need protection. This subliminally sends out the same old tired "strong black woman" to the public as well as bw and bm and that we don't need protection. they use bw in the media for ww to live vicariously through us while they lean back on white patriarchy in order to maintain their protection in society. We need more images of feminine black women in the media and in roles as well. If you guys havent already check out chrissie on youtube.

  • OUBoyWonder

Uh, US Willis. That's what I'm saying, we make OUR OWN, black folks get together and support the hell out of it as a united front. We stop lapping at the table of white folks for their damn scraps and get all "yaie! Good for us!" whenever they throw us a proverbial bone like that are doing with this charade.

  • SunSoy

    This lady is baldheaded!

LOLOLOL!! That's the part I'm talking about! Thank You! I was done. ... Right After That! Love Me some John Wick movies...my love grew for Reeves during the Matrix. Now, I'm waiting for 4 on May 21, 2020. I'm pressed Li-Wright.

  • Li-Wright

And Rita, how many times is Bond going to come out of retirement?

  • SunSoy

    You mean Black and Brown!

  • Gloria

I’m scratching my head because these NEW black stories are being told. I gave examples of a few original and recent black movies. There’s plenty more cool and unique movies for our people too, unless you have been living under a rock in recent years. I could understand your point if there was simply nothing but remakes but that actually isn’t true.... black representation in cinematic art is more innovative than it has ever been. Its expanding so much that now we see that crossover of black representation in mainstream remake films and that’s a good thing.

And Little Mermaid is NOT a traditional white role. Mermaids aren’t real so a mermaid is not associated with any particular race. Same with the role of 007. It’s an agent assignment identification, not some type of symbol for the “white race.” So no blacks aren’t “stealing white roles,” as you imply. These roles aren’t based off of race or culture. Now if a black woman was playing a role as “Mulan” or if a black man played “Elton John” in his biopic I could see your concern. But this fear of detrimental effects on black people being cast to star in remake films isn’t valid.

  • Rita

LOLOLOL! I don't know...I never really watched them, because when I was younger...never thought a man can kick-@ss in Tailored Suit. Always weird to me, but I did watch Pierce&Halle even brought the CD..

  • MsPam

Speaking of reboot, remakes and Diddy he’s casting for Making The Band.

  • MsPam

Sis, I second that emotion! I can’t stand that “strong black woman” phase. Some days I don’t feel like being strong.

  • T Willis

Lol! Did you go out and support Tarajis Proud Mary? In the last 5 years how many black films have you purchased tickets to see? Now ask your family and your friends the same question. Everything you wrote sounds good in theory, but the reality is we’d need at least 90% of black folks buying and supporting black films, and at best we could probably solicit about 40% lol. Black ppl love to talk sh*t about creating our own but when it comes time to support all they can offer is dust and unwanted criticism. That’s why I don’t take those seriously, I know it’s just black ppl talking (or typing) just to hear themselves. Black folks ain’t about sh*t. That’s why all of our black owned media (Ebony, Essence, Jet) are all non-black owned, or about to go out of business. Black ppl talk shit, they don’t support, that’s why I asked who gon support it lol ?????

  • Rent em Spoons ?????????

Yeah it makes zero sense , seeing how they told idris to kiss their ass on him or any black actor playing the part years ago

Naomi Harris would have made more sense seeing how she already played an agent on two bond movies and she’s a more seasoned actress. So to pick a fresh faced lashana who’s beautiful , but to take on ya Helm of this historic but tired franchise makes zero logical sense. Idris would have taken it to new heights.

They say idris turned it down and rightfully so after they told him hell no years ago . This comes off as some desperate ploy to grab the energy / wave of Woke social media while also wanting the black dollar after seeing what Black panther , lion king , and alladin etc brought in nation wide.

This just comes off as fishy and suspect by white studio execs. People need to realize that everything ain’t face value or surface level as it seems.

  • Jethro

Because tRump has normalized racism, so why hold back?

  • Rent em Spoons ?????????

No , the right choice would have been Naomi Harris who’s played an agent in Th last two movies or idris . Instead this is a fake woke money grab for the black dollar and shock value seeing how they fucked up telling idris hell no years ago after seeing what black panther did . We don’t need sympathy or shock value roles , especially not for this tired franchises. If anything they putting her in a corner and if it fails will use it as an excuse to never revisit the idea again . And again it’s not about lashana , she’s beautiful , it’s the way they went about it , it’s suspect and fishy.

  • Blaque Mahogany

I'm not going to address all of the comments you are imputing upon me; instead, I will make a few unequivocal explicit statements in the hope that you don't feel the need to infer anything from my comments.

    1. Disney's The Mermaid is a known white character Yes, she is a mermaid, but when she steps out of the water, what is she? A white woman with red hair. Or are we choosing to ignore that she's a woman because it doesn't fit the narrative?

    2. 007 is an agent that has been historically and traditionally white...since it's inception. I'm not sure where this symbol of the white race nonsense came from so I'm not even going to address it. However, it is very much based off of culture. British spy culture to be exact.

    3. My point, quite simply, is that it would be great if they brought some of the historically/traditionally black characters to the big screen. There are so many black folklores and fairytales that black kids will never know and I think it would be great if our stories were told. I don't mean our non-fiction stories, I mean our literal stories (fictional/folklore/mythological, etc.).

Yes, this is a form of representation. Yes, this is good for the actors/actresses that get the roles. But, I think collectively it would be better for blacks (especially kids) if we had our own shyt. It's that simple.

  • Blaque Mahogany

    I agree with this.

That being said, Chrissie makes my azz itch. Signed, a dark skin woman.

  • dontgetblocked

This doesn't work for me. James Bond is a man. Daniel Craig played the hell out of that role. I wouldn't mind her playing a special agent in a James Bond like movie. But 007 is a handsome male I can lust after. I'm sick of this gay quality crap. Is anything sacred? They done messed up my James Bond movies.

  • dontgetblocked

It's a gay agenda. She'll be gay or bisexual.

  • Rent em Spoons ?????????

Agree with you like many others but my reasoning is logical and not like most others. First they need to understand that she ain’t playing Bond , she’s taking his place and possibly the 007 namesake after he is shot. Similar to vin diesel and ice cube playing the triple xxx agent movie roles.
it ain’t about her , she’s an actress , a beautiful woman , favors my ex , but it makes no sense logically .
The logical choice would have been the black actress Naomi Harris who’s played in the last bond films as an garnet and who also has more experience under her belt. I heard idris turned it down because they said no years ago so out of desperation they do this for shock value .

  • bella28498 .

so they didn't want to give us Idris but gave us this instead??? no thanks

  • dontgetblocked

They call black women strong. We're survivors. If I see confusion or fighting, I'm running. I spend my day putting on lipstick, lotion and perfume. I'm very feminine. Why do we have to be seen as masculine and hard?

  • Rent em Spoons ?????????

The problem is not a person a color , zero issues with that.
The issue is how they went about it. They told idris to kiss their ass years ago . Also Naomi Harris , also a black actress has been with the franchise for the past two movies as an agent . To skip over her with a fresh face less experienced actress who’s only had like one major movie role makes zero sense. So it’s not about her or a person of color ,because she not playing bond btw, but it’s how they went about it . It comes off as blatant shock value and a black dollar money grab out of desperation. We don’t need sympathy roles.

The little mermaid actress can actually sing well and act . Not saying lashana can’t but she ain’t had major roles and to skip over Naomi seems fishy.

  • Phillybruh

But they haven't replaced James Bond, I dunno.

  • Madashelle

Hey wassup. While I agree with much of what you said, the part about Ebony, Jet, and Essence I do not agree with as I had subscriptions to all three. After Mr. Johndon died, Ebony fell off IMO. I believe his daughter was running it.

Now Essence was my thang back in the day! As a young Black working woman- you had to have an Essence magazine! When Essence sold out to The Whites and Susan left, it was not the same.

Realistically speaking though, many printed publications have lost business to the electronic world.

  • Mo Laughz

Why are they mad 007 is not a person, its a title.. just like XXX

  • Madashelle

    Too old now

  • Phillybruh

But this is neither just another film in the trilogy

  • Rent em Spoons ?????????

The franchise is boring and tired .
The Jason Bourne and mission impossible movies made it obsolete. Craig was Birmingham and bland . They didn’t want idris playing that role becauee could you imagine the outpour of support and success of the film.

Those krackas don’t want to see that . White women already lust for us behind the scenes. They would be on suicide seeing White women lust in public on the big screen over a black man .
For the same reason they don’t want white women having sex with us in porn , even though white women fuck blacks off the camera. No hate against lashana , but not feeling this move , it seems “ fishy “.

  • Rent em Spoons ?????????

Wow , never thought of that I seriously hope not , if they do that bullshit smh . Then it’s blatant bullshit and clearly seems like the reason they would choose this move smh.

  • Phillybruh

The second they stop putting us in things these same folks going be complaining, she isn't the next James Bond, she isn't getting her own film according to the plot he's retired and she got his number. Daniel Craig is still James Bond...lol

  • Rent em Spoons ?????????

Exactly , even all of white Twitter wanted idris , but heard he turned it down and rightfully so , because they told him hell nawww years ago.

  • C Mack

Let’s add never-ending film franchises to my list lol

  • Dowoop

    ???

  • Rent em Spoons ?????????

Yeah , well why did they tell idris to kiss their Ass years ago . Most are not complaining because it’s a black actor / actress .
It’s that it makes zero sense and comes off as blamtant shock value attempt which is the equivalent of a sympathy role.
We don’t need sympathy roles that’s an insult because they don’t fully stand by it and comes off as if they did it for some agenda.
If they wanted a black actress they could have chosen Naomi Harris who’s played seasoned and played in the last two bond films , but instead they pick a new face actress with like one major film inset her belt to take The helm? Makes zero sense and I wouldn’t be shocked if they have her playing a lesbian role as someone mentioned above.

  • Rent em Spoons ?????????

You’re wrong , 007 has always been tied to a white character : James Bond , yes he was fictional but none the less he was still based on a white character. To my knowledge she won’t be playing bonds , she will take over as a successor after bonds is shot in the movie .
If she takes on the namesake in the agency , that’s still not clear,
But bonds is based on a white character.

  • Rent em Spoons ?????????

Don’t be shocked if they make her a lesbian.
People shouting for this need to realize that everything ain’t face value for what it may seem. This is sloppy.

  • Lolly Asher

Lupita's like who dis woman harpo.

  • Alextra Ballard

Folks just stay mad for lil or nutn

  • TheWildChild

Danggit ? will they be happy if this chick plays Florida Evans in the Good Times reboot ? https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/2c2e24d98070d607042a1c79edb5019d25ad444c6b5a304dc5162eb77749e61b.jpg

  • JazzyBossyJen

    Ugh...

  • Cali

    ?????

  • Alicia.Ashe

I wish idris was bond him I’ll watch. Daniel Craig is ugly.

  • Applebum

Really? Something about him is sexy to me. I like rugged masculine looking men.

  • Applebum

See they can find beautiful dark skinned women when they really want to. Tired of the dark and obese black women they love featuring on TV and movies.

  • Phillybruh

Because yall wanted him to play James Bond. She is not playing James bond. What is yalls fixation with gay people jesus christ let it go already.

  • Ghetto Real Name

Naomie wasnt an agent. She was Ms. Moneypenny who has been around since the very start of the Bond series. Moneypenny been in every Bond movie and Ian Fleming book. Which is why I am so confused on this. They done already turned a major Bond character black two movies ago.Matter fact after James Bond, Moneypenny is 2nd most known character in that series.

  • Ghetto Real Name

This isnt just a film franchise. Its a book franchise too.

  • Ghetto Real Name

Lord I can see so many folks aint never followed James Bond movies or Ian Fleming books. Which is okay. Bc I am that nerd lol. However, we think they turning this WHOLE franchise BLACK? AND FEMALE? So Bond gonna be a black girl from here on out. AND MONEYPENNY was turned black after 70 years in the last few movies too. This same Naomie Harris that Spoons keeps going on and on about? So now the whole Bond franchise is gonna be black queens? When the white queen is still very much alive in white ass UK? They giving us this very established old white European franchise? Well okay.

  • Ghetto Real Name

Ugliest Bond ever. My fave Bond is forever Roger Moore and then Sean Connery.

  • dru and neil

    I think he’s hot too.

  • Renee26

    LMAO

  • dru and neil

I noticed that too when I read the article, so why the inflammatory headline saying a black woman is replacing James Bond all together I wonder. Anything to get people talking.

  • dru and neil

    I love Chrissie!

  • http://thedevereauxshow.com Ms.Devereaux

Yes I consider us all one ????? So when I say black I mean the brown too all the different shades

  • Mo Laughz

I said 007 not Bond. Bond is a person and his title is Agent 007. 007 Agents are elite covert operatives, not a name tied to a single individual.

  • Blaque Mahogany

I cant. I listened to a few of her videos and liked her, but lately she has been heading straight over a cliff. She lectures women to date "wealthy" men, makes a dry bragging post about her Valentines Day gift which ends up being an Aldo bag and some DSW shoes. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the gifts but dont talk about how wealthy men take care of their women, encourage women to forego an education so they can snag said wealthy man and then post what any man with a 9-5 can buy. Doesn't make sense. Then she admits that her dude is a regular dude who treats her well.

Make it make sense. I want to see her and her man. Ole hypocritical azz.

  • Not Today

I love it.....nothing else left to say

  • Jussjess25

Anybody but elba huh? we see you with this fake ass uninteresting plot twist

  • SunSoy

I am talking about culture not shade. I am Cuban I am not an American Black. You are one with Americans white and Asian as well not just Hispanics!

  • C Mack

Every book doesn’t have to be a movie either!

Y’all stop with these add-ons I’m just MUFFXXKING TIED! Lol

  • https://nylapoprush.com/twitch twitch.tv/NylaPop

    lmaoo

  • http://thedevereauxshow.com Ms.Devereaux

    Ohhh ok

  • Rhyme and Reason

Well, congrats to this beautiful actress, Lashana, hope it elevates her career!

  • Khaliah

I agree totally, Apple. You don't have to be good-looking to be looking good, and something about him is all male, all masculine, very virile, with a bit of animal to him. The same could be said about Hugh Jackman--not classically handsome but possesses a quality that is very rugged, very masculine.

  • Mo Laughz

Yes I had a big crush on Sean Connery when he was Bond!

  • Space Ghost

Unless we support this movie en-masse this will be a total dud and white folks will shit on us every chance they get! Especially us Black Women. We BETTER go and watch this movie and not just verbally co-sign. https://media0.giphy.com/media/jSv2breEnJU0o/giphy.gif

  • Bianca Stax

But didn't we just have Taraji in Proud Mary??? Annnd didn't that movie BOMB. Don't get me wrong, i think this idea is DOPE, but we have to support this one. Bc if we don't....the greys will DRAG us, and perhaps, rightfully so.

  • Solstice
  • ALLMINE?

    Liberal white supremacists

  • Mama Dee’s Wig Maker

    I'd watch it

  • Mints

In these movies, She will only have sex with white men, and she will get her ass kicked by white women. Yeah...she got the role, but white hollywood controls the narrative so they are going to have her playing out their fantasies. Oh well

  • Connie

Booming announcer voice: "Sean Connery is James Bond...in Never Say Never Again!"
Lord, me and my sisters used to recite this ad nauseam as kids...lol!

  • Let them eat cake

yep either that and/or she will save a dainty ww in the movie or at least non black woman.

  • Let them eat cake

lol. i couldn't take her at first because she had a negative spirit but she's toned down now. i watch her periodically because i can't have all that getting into my spirit everyday.

  • Dun Dilly

    The real QUESTION:
why is Blk Twitter in the year 2019 always hooting and hollering when some white producer "hands out" a role to Blk actress for profit?
*ALSO they are NOT making a BOND FILM for this actress, that was click bait. In BOND 25 film James Bond retires and the offer the "007" to this new agent....THAT'S NOT A GREENLIT movie that going to be made.

  • Ghetto Real Name

He was still good looking WELL into his 80s! God bless him. He is almost 90 now but still kicking it

  • Ghetto Real Name

Lol. I recall that, dead at the start of the movie!

  • Trace da Ace

    wow..they HATE it when a african american....especially a woman...gets a good role....lol.....HATE ON IT!

  • TheOwley

But why not Idris for 007. Was this the only black female actress they could find. Hollywood is preparing people for re-casting of roles and idols. Bond is now a female and black, Batman is going to gay, Batwoman takes over Batman's life and disses his legacy and suit, Black Panther played by white man, a Xena movie to be played by a transgender male, remake of Good Times but with a white family, etc. etc. Rapunzel to be played by an asian. Asian folks not happy Ghost in a Shell was a blonde, folks not happy a straight person was hired to play a transgender. Wait until some biracial asian person plays Malcom X. Everyone can get equally mad.

  • Applebootay

    Now this I don't mind...but ....nevermind

  • Applebootay

    Now this I don't mind...but ....nevermind

  • Applebootay

    See

  • Applebootay

    See

  • Passion

Her drawn in heavy eyebrows are too distracting! Ugh ? I hate that look!

  • Wildcat34

Daniel Craig is fine as hell! The scene where he come out of the water...I watched too many times to count. LOL

  • dru and neil

I’m a little curious about how they look too.

  • Taj

No, we hate it when Hollywood goes Affirmative action.

  • Queen B

These crackas know the power of the black dollar....so they will cast a black person quick as hell for these roles....its only one race in this country and thats green money honey ?

  • Marie

They are giving all the big roles to black people so we could shut up and pay.

  • Large Pro

Just another plot by the gay mafia/Obama followers to promote women acting like dykes and men acting soft and using women's restrooms like Obama put into federal law.

  • Large Pro

are you this dumb in real life or just on sandra rose? a Black man did not get a man's role because the lesbo director wanted to give it to a lesbian, got it now?

  • EMILY POST

Why does Hollywood use black people to annoy white folks... hmm same thing the political people do...
