Alfred Jackson, the half-brother and heir of the late pop icon Prince, has died from natural causes at age 66. Jackson, who shared the same mother as Prince, died in his sleep at his home in Kansas City, Missouri. His body was discovered on Thursday morning.

Prince died from a drug overdose on April 21, 2016. He was 57.

Jackson hit the headlines following his younger brother’s death when he became the first family member to speak about the tragedy.

He said, “I miss my brother because my brother was everything in the world to me… He’s a legend, he really is.”

Jackson was the recipient of the majority of Prince’s fortune. The money he received from Prince’s estate enabled Alfred to buy a new home, WENN.com reports.

Jackson and his half sister, Tyka Nelson, posed with their brother’s mural at The O2 Arena in London, England on October 26, 2017.
