Police in Fort Worth, Texas released dramatic body cam photos of the moment they rescued an 8 year old girl from a pedophile who snatched her off the street in broad daylight.

Video footage from a doorbell Ring camera shows the moment the girl was snatched from her mother’s arms by 51-year-old Michael Webb.

The girl, who is not identified because she is the victim of a sex assault, was walking with her mother in a Fort Worth, Texas neighborhood in May, when Webb drove alongside them, exited the vehicle, and snatched the child.

The frantic mother fought with Webb but he managed to overpower her and take the girl. The mother’s screams were captured on a Ring doorbell. “Help me! Help me! Please! My daughter just got kidnapped!”

The woman’s screams brought neighbors out of their homes. Witnesses were able to give police a good description of the kidnapper’s vehicle.

8 hours later, police and tactical SWAT teams surrounded a hotel where Webb was staying with the child. He hid her in a large hotel laundry basket and warned her not to make a sound.

Police body cam video shows the moment police dragged the naked kidnapper out of the hotel room and rescued the little girl.

“When they find her, you hear how just emotional it is for everyone. They are just so happy and relieved that they have her,” said Erin Nealy Cox, US attorney for the Northern District of Texas.

Webb broke down in tears when he told investigators he scoped out the neighborhood before making his move. “I scoped it out pretty good… I know I missed somebody because, when I pushed the woman and grabbed her, I heard somebody screaming,” said Webb.

He was convicted in September and sentenced to life in prison on Nov. 14. He also faces sexual assault charges in a separate case in Tarrant County.
