Rapper Tip “T.I.” Harris is disappointed that one of his sons has refused to appear on his Vh1 reality TV show The Family Hustle.

T.I. spoke with Big Bank and DJ Scream on their podcast show “Big Facts.” T.I. explained that his son Domani Harris has chosen to take a different path to stardom and won’t appear on The Family Hustle this season.

T.I., who shares Domani and six other children with his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris, said Domani will not appear in the current season because he no longer wants to be associated with the show or with his dad.

T.I. said the 19-year-old left $85,000 on the table.

“That man gave up — what was it for one season? I think it was $80,000 $85,000. They told him all you got to do is show up. Just for being in the background.”

Even with production offering to limit his camera time, Domani declined to participate in the reality show.

The aspiring rapper recently released the song “The Truth.” In addition to following in his father’s footsteps, he also took up acting and appeared in “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical.”

T.I. said his son wants to embark on his own career path without any ties to the scripted reality show or his famous father.

The “King of the South” could not hide his disappointment.

“He real adamant about making his own path, you know what I’m saying? You know he has a keen intent to separate his legacy from my legacy.”

T.I., pictured center with sons Messiah Harris (left) and Domani, said he understood the teenager’s decision, but he would never walk away from that much cash for basically doing nothing. He said his son is not a paper chaser like him.

“I wouldn’t have given up any money. I wouldn’t have let no money slide by, but I get it.”

Question: Would you walk away from $85,000 to choose your own career path?
