22-year-old male-to-female trans Merci Mack is the 4th trans person killed during Pride month, and the 19th trans person to die a violent death in 2020.

Mack was found in a Dallas parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound to the head on Jun 30. There were no eyewitnesses to the shooting, and police have no suspects in the murder.

Residents reported hearing gunshots around 5 a.m., but apparently did not call 911. A passerby who found Mack unconscious did call 911 around 6:15 a.m. but Mack was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police spoke with Mack's family, who used Mack's birth name, Richey. Police said they have "not been provided with a preferred name at this time."

Mack's murder follows the death of 17-year-old Brayla Stone (pictured) who was found dead in a suburb of Little Rock, Arkansas last week.

A man claiming to be the murderer bragged on social media that he was paid $5,000 for the hit.

Riah Milton was shot and killed during an armed robbery attempt in Ohio. Police arrested three people in connection with that murder.

All three transgenders were presumed to be sex workers. These types of deaths usually go unreported in the news media because the police "misgender" the victims.
