John Legend took aim at his former boss, rapper Kanye West for allegedly conspiring with President Donald Trump to divert votes away from Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

Legend, who is best known for his song “Tonight (Best You Ever Had)”, took to Twitter to denounce Kanye and Trump.

Legend retweeted this post to his 13.5 million followers, writing, “Just in case anyone needs some clarity around what’s happening here:”

“A little update — The GOP lawyer who helped @kanyewest get on the ballot in Wisconsin is actively working for @realDonaldTrump’s campaign. She’s the lawyer of record in their lawsuit to try to get a @prioritiesUSA anti-Trump ad pulled…”

He followed up by tweeting: “Anyway…. Anyone reckless and/or misinformed enough to fall for the okey doke probably wasn’t voting for Biden (or voting at all).”

His followers reacted by asking Legend to speak to Kanye rather than drag him on social media.

User @dweebs193 tweeted: “I was under the impression that you were friends with Kanye. Why you telling us? Shouldn’t you talk to him? Also I think it’s pretty racist for them to assume that black ppl are going to vote for Kanye bc he’s on the ballot.”
