The mask hysteria that has gripped parts of the U.S. has extended to Jamaica.

Reggae dancehall legend Buju Banton triggered two of his daughters by urging Jamaicans to ditch face masks.

According to Urban Islandz, Buju’s daughter Jodian Myrie took to Twitter on Thursday, Oct. 22, to criticize her own father for choosing not to wear masks.

“Let us all as Jamaicans play our part in flattening this curve by continuing to wear our masks and practicing social distancing!” she tweeted. “Follow the protocols set in place to protect not only your life, but the life of your loved ones.”

Buju’s other daughter, Abihail Myrie, also tweeted, “So anyway y’all wear your masks!!!”

The blatant disrespect angered Buju’s concubine, Tasha Rodney, criminal defense attorney. Jamaicans are very big on respecting elders and particularly showing obedience to one’s father.

“Go study your books and stop allowing them to use you to tear down your father,” Tasha wrote.

Abihail responded: “If it is that you were studying yours enough you wouldn’t be on twitter.com advertising your ignorance. It’s a shame. Wear a mask, certified rebel.”

Tasha reminded Buju’s ungrateful daughter that she paid her college tuition and other expenses.

“You are the one showing your ignorance. Those who want to wear masks are doing so. Before you disrespect me, please send me back every dollar I ever sent you. Please and thanks. By the time I was your age, I already had a degree and was working on my second one but carryon.”

Abihail replied in the third person: “Whatever monies you think you have sent Abihail Myrie please post those as opposed to old photo memories you so sadly hold on to. I guess with all those degrees you still couldn’t calculate not to sleep with a married man who at the time had 13 kids and counting.”

She continued: “I hope the second degree made a difference with your life choices. And let’s not get carried away here. A degree at 20? Carryon.”

“Yes dear. I had a degree at 20,” Tasha wrote, defending her concubine status. “Don’t worry about my life choices. You and your mother are still hurt that she couldn’t hold him. Don’t be upset with me. Be upset with him [crying laughing emojis].”

Abihail was livid at the mention of her mom by one of her father’s mistresses.

“My mom??? From mask to man. Your bitterness is showing. You were oh so praying for a man you thought you’d have when he got here you were the one who had to eat all of your unwanted kids. Using all the money you have to pay mortgage for his house that you’ve never even been to…

“moved all your shit here in jamaica thinking when he got here he would’ve moved in with you and he didn’t even visit you. Defending a man that doesn’t even want you. Be blessed, champion [crying laughing emojis].”

“Rude as hell. I don’t even argue on here,” Abihail continued. “But don’t think you’re gonna talk down to me AND mention my good good mom and i not say anything. Go roun gyal. Not one of his wh*res arguing with me.”

“I’m not Buju’s b*tch dear,” said Tasha. “And unlike your mother, I never needed him to give me a dime.”

The entire thread was deleted on Twitter. It is beneath the dignity of Jamaicans to argue about personal drama on social media.

Los Angeles-based physician Dr. Simone Gold agrees with Buju that masks do not work against a coronavirus. Watch the video below.
