ABC censors were said to be “freaking out” over risqué performances by Jennifer Lopez (left) and Megan Thee Stallion at the 2020 American Music Awards on Sunday night.

According to Page Six, a source said Lopez, 51, whose sexy Super Bowl halftime performance triggered over 1,300 complaints about her “strip club act,” was set to outdo herself in a “steamy” duet with Colombian singer Maluma.

But Lopez’s AMA performance was tame by stripper industry standards.

Censors were also nervous about the impossibly scanty costume to be worn by Billboard magazine’s Rapper of the Year, Megan Thee Stallion. But that turned out to be a false alarm as well. The black lacy negligee Megan wore during her sultry set was nothing television viewers haven’t seen before.

This year’s AMAs, hosted by Taraji P. Henson, was broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The funniest moment of the night was when Henson shook her butt at a life-size cutout of semi-retired pop singer Beyonce’s face.

The most scandalous attires of the evening were pop singer Ciara Wilson and male-to-female trans actor Laverne Cox flashing a little leg.

Ciara was the first presenter at the American Music Awards. She rocked a flowing red dress with a plunging neckline and black, thigh-high hooker boots. She presented the award for Favorite Male Artist – Soul/R&B to The Weeknd, who wore stage makeup and bandages to promote a movie role.

Ciara’s hair was done up in extension braids so tight that it looked like her scalp was screaming to be set free. The wife of Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson completed her look with a pair of silver hoop earrings and several rings.
