Kim Kardashian officially filed legal papers to end her 7-year marriage to musician, Kanye West.

The reality TV star’s attorney, Laura Wasser, filed divorce documents at a California courthouse this week.

According to TMZ, Kim, 40, is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their four children – daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 3, and sons Saint, 5, and Psalm, who turns 2 in May.

Sources claim the split is amicable, and the pair is committed to co-parenting together. But other reports suggest Kim changed the locks at her Calabasas mansion after Kanye packed up and moved to Wyoming in 2019.

Kanye, 43, was still wearing his wedding band this week. Sources say he is not handling the divorce well.

Kim and Kanye are reportedly prepared to honor their prenuptial agreement, and are already working on a property settlement.

The date of separation has been listed as “to be determined” on the court documents, but the couple’s marriage is said to have been on the rocks for some time.

Representatives for the stars have yet to comment on the news.

It’s Kim’s third failed marriage – she was briefly wed to basketball player Kris Humphries and songwriter Damon Thomas.
