Meghan Markle and Harry Windsor sat down with American media mogul Oprah Winfrey for a tell-all discussion about the royals, race, victimization, depression and thoughts of suicide.

Megan, who is 39 and pregnant with her second child, claimed the royals were concerned that her firstborn baby’s skin would be too dark to be a prince.

Meghan was “angry” that Queen Elizabeth II didn’t break 100 years of convention to make her son, Archie, a prince instead of a lord.

The “Suits” actress claimed inaccurately that the “prince” title was her son’s “birthright”.

She alleged that this happened “in tandem [with] concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.”

In reality, Archie, the Queen’s great-grandson, is not entitled to be named a prince. The children of the Queen’s daughter Princess Anne and her first husband Captain Mark Phillips also do not have titles, and nor does the newborn son of the Queen’s granddaughter Princess Eugenie.

When Oprah pressed Harry on exactly who discussed her unborn son’s skin color, he refused to answer.

“That conversation I’m never going to share,” he said. “At the time, it was awkward. I was a little bit shocked.”

Meghan also revealed that she contemplated taking her own life when things didn’t go as she planned. “I didn’t want to be alive anymore,” she told Oprah, who was paid $9 million to conduct the interview for CBS.

It isn’t clear how much Meghan and Harry were paid for their interview. Since being cut off financially by the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor have been supported by Netflix, Spotify, and the generosity of their wealthy American friends.

The following are more quotes from Meghan and Harry’s in-depth interview with Oprah:

Harry on the gender of their unborn baby: “It’s a girl. To have a boy and then a girl, you know, what more can you ask for?”

Megan on their secret wedding: “Three days before our wedding, we got married. No one knows that.”

Harry on his mother Diana: “My biggest concern was history repeating itself. She would be very angry how this panned out.”

Harry on the Queen: “I’ve never blindsided my grandmother. I have too much respect for her.

Meghan on her relationship with the Queen: “The Queen has always been wonderful to me. I just really loved being in her company.”

Harry on being cut off by his father: “I had two conversations with my father before he stopped taking my calls.” Harry said his father asked him to put their plans in writing. “We didn’t have a plan. That was suggested by somebody else by the point of where my family literally cut me off financially, and I had to afford security for us.”

Harry on his brother Prince William and father Charles: “They are trapped within the system, like the rest of my family are. My father and my brother, they are trapped. They don’t get to leave. And I have huge compassion for that.”

If Meghan thought this tell-all interview would finally bring her the admiration and respect that she craves from Americans, she is sadly mistaken.

As one viewer wrote in an online forum: “If Meghan thought this ‘interview’ would make us more sympathetic to her and like her more — it didn’t.”

British journalist Piers Morgan ripped Meghan for the disgraceful way she portrayed the royals.

And American reality TV star Bethenny Frankel called Meghan “a fairly unknown actress” who is earning “hundreds of millions” of dollars for her short stint as a senior royal.

“Cry me a river,” Frankel tweeted to her 1.5 million followers.

“The plight of being a game show host, fairly unknown actress, to suffering in a palace, w tiaras & 7 figure weddings for TWO WHOLE YEARS to being a household name w @Oprah on speed dial, fetching 7 [million] for interviews, hundreds of millions in media deals.”

Others said Meghan selfishly married into the Royal Family, knowing what her duties would be. But being in servitude to others for the rest of her life was not in the cards for a narcissist.
