Jamal Bryant

Pastor Jamal Bryant raised eyebrows when he inserted a popular hip hop catchphrase into his fiery sermon at the Empowerment Temple in Baltimore, MD, on Sunday.

Bryant recited the title of a popular Chris Brown song when he told his flock "These hoes ain't loyal!" Surprisingly his congregation cheered and stomped their feet as if in agreement with the pastor's description of young women who may have lost their way in life.

Sharkeisha's Personal Knockout Game

Brutal urban assaults on innocent citizens by inner city thugs continues to make headlines all over the country.

The so-called "knockout game" involves young punks sneaking up on unsuspecting victims and sucker punching them with enough force to knock them out. A successful "knockout" earns the attacker instant street cred and racks up "likes" on social networking websites.

One such attack that was caught on video is unique in that the attacker, Sharkeisha, appears to know her victim.

From TheHollywoodgossip.com:

UPDATE: Sharkeisha's beating victim, Sharmichael Manuel, 17, told KHOU-TV she was astounded when her former friend mauled her in such fashion.

The Houston teenager says the assailant and a group of girls set her up for the fight video, luring her to an apartment complex under false pretenses.

Manuel thought she was picking up some of her belongings. She was wrong.

“I was just in shock. I was like oh my God. Did she really do this? You’re supposed to be my close friend,” Manuel said. “We were talking in school earlier that day."

"She made it seem like there was nothing wrong with her.”

The fight broke out over a boy, Manuel reveals, and after Sharkeisha finished the staggering assault, a neighbor drove the battered teen home.

Manuel was left with black eye and busted lip. She hasn’t returned to school since the assault, in part because she has trouble seeing out of her eye.

“It is hurting and crushing to me,” Manuel said, noting that the physical pain is just the start. “I felt humiliated, embarrassed and hurt at the same time.”

The Atlanta man seen in a viral video being savagely beaten by thugs for wearing skinny jeans will speak today at a press conference scheduled for noon.

The victim's family told reporters that the 20-year-old man came forward on Tuesday to speak with police after the FBI joined the investigation.

"Atlanta Police Department spokesman Carlos Campos said that the widespread dissemination of the video led family members of the 20-year-old victim to contact police," according to the Atlanta Journal.

"Atlanta police investigators were able to locate the victim ... who gave a statement to investigators," Campos said in statement emailed to the news media Tuesday night.

In the video, which was first posted on Worldstarhiphop.com, the victim is seen exiting a convenience store on McDaniel Street in the "Pittsburgh" area of Atlanta on Saturday. The man, wearing tight black "skinny jeans" and a long black ponytail, is set upon by three thugs shouting anti-gay slogans.

The thugs punch and kick the defenseless man as he crouched on the ground. One thug picked up a tire that was leaning on a wall nearby and hit the victim with it.

The brutal scene was captured on two cell phone cameras as well as a surveillance video from the convenience store.

The FBI is investigating the incident as a federal hate crime against gays. If captured and convicted, the perpetrators will face stiffer sentences than if they were convicted on state charges.

Grrrrrr! Never interrupt a dog while he's eating -- or spittin' on the mic. An unlucky fan thought it was a good idea to interrupt rapper DMX mid-rap during a concert in Long Beach last night. The fan, who looks like a skinhead, sidled up to the oft-arrested rapper and tried to put him in a headlock. But the rapper's security reacted swiftly (some would say not swiftly enough) and put the fan in a vicious headlock before dragging him offstage and beating him down. DMX's stunned DJ briefly stopped the music, but DMX ordered him to turn the music back on. "We don't stop the music for s**t!" he yelled.
