Lil Kim Statement

Lil Kim’s attorney is going after an impersonator on Facebook who claims to be Lil Kim.

Apparently the impersonator posted something on Facebook. I haven’t seen whatever it is since I don’t go on there. But here’s the statement from her attorney:

“The statement posted up on Facebook was done by someone falsely portraying themselves to be Lil Kim and is completely untrue. They have been contacted to remove immediately or legal action will be taken,” says attorney for Lil Kim, Bernard H. Jackson III.

Shaquille O’Neal Stalking Case Pushed Back

Atlanta rapper Alexis Miller, aka Mary Jane, is pictured with rapper Lil’ Wayne in an undated

Shaquille O’Neal was expected in a Fulton County court today to face his accuser, Alexis Miller, but the case was pushed back again according to the AJC.

The legal saga involving NBA star Shaquille O’Neal and the Atlanta woman accusing him of stalking him has been extended again.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Karen Woodson issued a continuance on Wednesday afternoon, pushing the date the case is supposed to be heard back to Oct. 16.

O’Neal, the Phoenix Suns’ 7-foot-1, 325-pound center, is accused of stalking Alexis Miller, a 23-year-old hip-hop artist whose stage name is Maryjane.

Miller charges that O’Neal threatened her via e-mail and made harassing calls and threatened to torpedo her career after she broke off a relationship with him in July.

Judge Richard Hicks initially issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting O’Neal from coming within 200 yards of Miller or her 19-month-old son in August. Woodson recently extended the order. (Source)

CIARA SLAPS BLOGS WITH TAKE DOWN ORDERS

As you know, Ciara has been the subject of a few not-so-positive posts on this blog.

So when someone emailed me photos from the set of her “Go Girl” video last week, I was the only urban blogger who chose not to post them.

But yesterday, a loyal reader emailed me to say Ciara’s camp was busy sending out C&D orders to urban bloggers — and even her fansite, Sincerelyciara.com, to take those pics down.

Why would she do that to her own fansite when she desperately needs the exposure, you ask? Because some celebrities don’t realize how ridiculous they look until they read the negative comments on these blogs.

Whether you guys know it or not, your comments are read by celebrities and taken very seriously — perhaps too seriously.

Celebs are constantly surrounded by ‘yes’ men and women who tell them what they want to hear because these people need to eat and they don’t care who they eat off of.

Most celebrities live in fantasy worlds and urban blogs provide reality checks for them.

Atlanta woman files restraining order against Shaq

Atlanta rapper Alexis Miller, aka Mary Jane, is pictured with rapper Lil’ Wayne in an undated

When I heard about this story last week I figured it was bogus. What judge is going to approve a restraining order without any evidence of stalking? I just knew NBA star Shaquille O’Neal could not be that stupid to leave evidence behind, right?

Apparently he is and he did:

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Richard Hicks granted Alexis Miller’s request Thursday after reviewing her allegations that the basketball player stalked her, threatened her with bodily harm and made harassing phone calls in which he breathed heavily into the phone before hanging up.

Miller, a 23-year-old hip-hop artist known professionally as Maryjane[click for her MySpace], claimed she ended an intimate relationship with O’Neal last month. She alleged he then threatened to pay performers $50,000 each not to work with her.

“It’s been very difficult for her,” said L. David Wolfe, Miller’s Atlanta-based attorney. “Her fears are not only for herself but also the people around her.” He said Miller, who has a young son, is “pretty traumatized.”

Wolfe said Miller had known the 7-foot-1, 325-pound All-Star center for about a year and a half, and that the two became intimate over the past six to eight months.

The court affidavit quotes an e-mail from O’Neal as saying, “I dnt no who the [expletive] u think u dealin wit u will neva be heard from one phone call is I gotta make now try me. Sho me.” (Source)

Celebs Out & About: Kimora Lee Simmons

Entrepreneur and reality TV star, Kimora Lee Simmons, was spotted out & about in NYC last night with her man, actor Djimon Hounsou. I like how he dutifully follows three steps behind her highness as they exit a restaurant. He’s trained well.

I heard something scandalous about home girl yesterday, but I’m going to wisely hold my tongue because I don’t need another Cease & Desist letter from her high-priced attorneys — plus I know she won’t be playing this time.

If you recall, Kimmie set her goons attorneys on me last time because I dared mention her, alleged, affinity for a little catnip on the side.

After I responded to their C&D letter in my typical humble fashion, her attorneys quickly contacted my attorney by phone in an effort to further violate my constitutional rights to freedom of speech. I hear Kimmie was fired up when their efforts fell flat, but that’s how it goes when you’re in the public eye.

I’m sure the only reason she backed off me was because her attorneys informed her how much it would set her back to drag my insignificant ass into court.

I admit I was a little shook when I saw the name of the prestigious Fifth Avenue law firm on the letterhead. I even saved the C&D letter to show my fellow bloggers what a real C&D looks like as opposed to the fluff ones sent out to try and intimidate bloggers.

R.Kelly wants to put a stop to ‘disgorgement of ill-gotten gains’

According to Drewreports.com. R.Kelly is tired of others using his name and likeness for “disgorgement of ill-gotten gains”. That sounds like something Kelly himself could be accused of. But we won’t go there.

Exonerated R&B star R. Kelly is pissed off after a nightclub allegedly used his name and image to promote an event — without ever getting Kelly’s permission!

In a lawsuit filed Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, R. claims two promoters for Sugar nightclub stamped his name and face on a bunch of fliers “falsely advertising” that Kelly was set to host one of their parties. Kelly says he knew nothing about it — so it’s time to sue their pants off. (Source)
