Drake Dumping Massive Condos Featured in “I’m On One” Video

The real estate market is still in a slump, so why would Canadian rapper Drake drop almost $2 mil on luxury condos in Miami? Probably because he believed the real estate broker’s pitch that the housing market was hot again, and his 2 investment properties would increase in value.

Now Drake is trying to cut his losses, and he hopes one of you will love him enough to want to tattoo his name on your forehead take his 2 condos off his hands.

According to TMZ.com:

Drake put the properties up for sale last week — located right next door to each other in Miami’s ritzy Marquis highrise — listing one for $1.9 million and the other for $599,000. Drake combined the two into one MASSIVE condo, and lived in both simultaneously.

The larger one is a sprawling 3,800 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The “smaller” one-bedroom condo is still gigantic … at 1,675 square feet.

Drake purchased the properties together in January 2011 for a combined price of $1.903 million. So, if Drake gets his asking price … he’ll make $596,000 in profit (even though no one ever gets their asking price).

Fashion FAIL: Justin Bieber’s FAKE Louis Vuitton – How We Got the Story

About 4 years ago, Louis Vuitton announced its plans to discontinue the custom orders division of its luxury brand. This meant they would no longer accept custom orders for bags or clothing from celebrities or the public.

This news came at a time when Kanye West’s custom $6,300 LV backpack was all the rage on the blogs.

I wanted a smaller version of that backpack, but a rep at the Louis Vuitton corporate office assured me that LV would “probably” resume accepting custom orders “in the future” (this was 3 years ago).

So imagine my surprise when I saw the pictures of Justin Bieber wearing what appeared to be a custom made Louis Vuitton jacket to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas last week.

In Case You Missed It: Braxton Family Values, Episode 9

In last night’s episode of ‘Braxton Family Values‘, Trina Braxton admitted giving oral sex to one of her male band members. But in a recent video interview with blogger Karen Civil, which we posted yesterday, Trina revealed that she and her cheating husband, Gabe Solis, (pictured above on their wedding day) have been “legally separated” for a year.

So does that mean all of their scenes are scripted?

By the way, best wishes and a speedy recovery to R&B icon Toni Braxton who was recently hospitalized with a Lupus flare up.

Dog Replaces Kim Kardashian in Super Bowl Ad

It looks like the anti-Kim Kardashian petitions have worked.

The self-centered reality star was dealt another blow in the aftermath of her disastrous divorce from Nets basketball player Kris Humphries.

Now comes word that fitness apparel giant Skechers has replaced Kim with a dog in its Super Bowl ad after declining to renew her lucrative sponsorship contract.

According to PEOPLE:

The other shoe has dropped on Kim Kardashian: She’s out, and the dogs are in.

Skechers, which featured the reality star in a sexy ad for Shape-Ups during last year’s Super Bowl, will instead air a spot that features a French bulldog wearing Skechers’ GOrun shoes, according to USA Today. The new kicks are part of Skechers’ new high-tech line.

“Kim got us more attention than we ever dreamed,” Skechers Fitness president Leonard Armato says. “We have to establish Skechers as more than a lifestyle company.”

Update: Floyd Mayweather won’t have to turn himself in until June 1

Scroll down for updates…

Prize fighter Floyd “Money” Mayweather won’t need any of his flashy jewels or fancy cars where he’s going. Today is the day the troubled boxer must turn himself in to authorities to begin serving a 90-day sentence for roughing up his children’s mother in front of them in September 2010.

Mayweather will turn 35 in prison on Feb. 24.

It’s cold on the cell block this time of the year — even in Las Vegas. And Mayweather won’t have his curvy model fiancee, Shantel Jackson, to keep him warm for the next 3 months.

The boxing champ was sentenced to serve 6 months on Dec. 21, but a Las Vegas judge suspended 3 months of his sentence and allowed him to remain out over the holidays. The judge also credited Floyd 3 days for time served.

Mayweather has until today (Jan. 6) to turn himself in at the prison — where Bubba awaits.

Update: According to TMZ.com, a judge ruled today that Floyd Mayweather Jr. won’t have to turn himself in to a Las Vegas jail until June 1, 2012 … so he can fight in Las Vegas on May 5th.

TMZ adds: “His attorney’s justification … Floyd’s a pro who brings in hundreds of millions in profits for the city of Las Vegas — and hey, thing’s get rescheduled all the time … no bigs.”

Concert Promoter and His Son Kidnapped At Gunpoint After Nas is a No-Show

An American concert promoter and his son learned the hard way that rappers are not the most scrupulous businessmen in the world.

According to TMZ.com, AllGood Entertainment CEO Patrick Allocco and his son are currently being held at gunpoint in an Angola hotel until rapper Nas and another rapper returns the $315K each that they were paid to perform a New Year’s Day concert.

Allocco’s people tell TMZ that Nas and opening act Jemiah Jai were paid $315k to perform 2 shows (Nas’ cash was wired to him in America) — but Nas failed to make his flight in the U.S., and apparently he didn’t reschedule the concert.

Naturally, the Angolan money man who ante’d up the cash for Nas’ concert fee assumed he was being screwed. So he sent his goons to fetch the promoter and his son and bring them to him — at gunpoint.

The promoter and his son were handed over to Angolan police and interrogated for 7 hours until the U.S. embassy stepped in to secure their release.

But they’re not quite free to go.

According to TMZ, the men are being held (likely at gunpoint) “in residence” at a local hotel while the two sides try to resolve the money situation.

Alloco’s people released this depressing message to Nas and his people:

“The hope is that Nas and Jemiah Jai will return all of the monies that were wired to them immediately so that our ransom may be paid and our safe return to the United States may be facilitated.”

Sadly, they’ll be waiting a long time if they expect Nas to return any of that money. We are taking about rappers here.
