Kim Kardashian cops a pair of Kanye West’s pricey sandals

Remember those pearl adorned sandals that Giuseppe Zanotti designed for Kanye West’s models for his DW showing in Paris last week? Well, socialite Kim Kardashian copped herself a pair within minutes of landing in Paris today.

The reality TV star attended the showing of West’s Fall/Winter 2012 ready-to-wear line, where he presented her with her very own pair. Kim tweeted a pic of the sandals along with the caption “I j’adore my shoes tonight!“

According to fashion blog Upscalehype, the sandals feature a calf leather upper embroidered with pearls, a leather heel, and zip fastening. They retail for a modest $4,888.

The European press also made note of Kim’s head showing signs of alopecia (bald spots), probably from the stress caused by the backlash from her fake, made-for-TV wedding to NBA star Kris Humphries.

Celeb Style: Now You Can Own Kanye West’s Giuseppe Zanotti Sandals for Only $5,800

Rap producer Kanye West has conquered the world of music, but he’s having a little trouble convincing the world’s fashionistas to take him seriously as a designer.

Narcissists think very highly of themselves, but Kanye isn’t your average, run-of-the-mill narcissist.

Just to prove he’s the next Marc Jacobs, Kanye packed his things and moved to Europe — and he plans to stay there until the other fashion designers stop laughing at him behind his back.

Last week, Kanye debuted his DW collection during Paris fashion week. His designs, inspired by his late mother Donda West, barely evoked mention by the fashion critics. But the media did buzz about the shoes his models were wearing.

Kobe Bryant Reveals His Greek Warrior Face Mask

NBA superstar Kobe Bryant fractured his nose and suffered a concussion during the 2012 All Star game. But the self-centered Lakers forward won’t let a broken nose and a mild concussion prevent him from chasing the all-time NBA scoring record.

The injuries occurred during Sunday’s All-Star game in Orlando, when Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade attempted to stop Kobe from making a wide open slam dunk. Wade has since apologized to Kobe publicly and in private.

The league has strict policies on players who are diagnosed with concussions. The policy requires players with head injuries to sit out a number of games and the policy determines when players can return to the court. But we are talking about Kobe Bryant, who has records to break.

Bryant did not miss a game after suffering his injuries. He walked out on the court wearing his version of a Greek warrior mask in last night’s game against the Timberwolves. The mask is to prevent further injuries to his face — and to protect the league from liability — while he selfishly chases NBA records.
