Lloyd aka. "Mr. Long Hair Don't Care," surprised his fans today via twitter (@lloyd_yg) when he revealed that he cut off his trademark braids for a worthy cause. The R&B star, who began growing his hair over 10 years ago, felt like it was time for a change, and time to give back, "I've been growing my hair since 9th grade. It's time for a new me." said Lloyd. He went on to say, "The fact that my hair will go to someone that needs it more than me, makes me feel great about my decision."

Lloyd has always been an avid supporter of non-profit charity work, especially when his efforts go toward benefiting children in need. Non-profit organization Locks of Love will use Lloyd¹s donated hair to provide a hair piece for a financially disadvantaged child (under age 21) suffering from long-term medical hair loss. The organization was happy to work with Lloyd, and both parties hope that their partnership will inspire others to donate.

Mahogany Wright, Lloyd's long time hair braider gave the artist one final braid, then did the honors of cutting off the 12 inch lock of hair. Moments before, Lloyd had this to say, "I'm doing this for me. I feel like it's time for a change and now is the perfect time." Lloyd's childhood barber, known simply as "Parker The Barber", who was the last person to cut his hair when he was just 14, finished the job, giving the artist a fresh new look.

Pseudo-singer Ashanti always looks fabulous when she cleans up. Too bad her flawless appearance doesn't match her flawed voice or she would be a superstar now. Ashanti attended the 20th Annual NAACP Theatre Awards at the Directors Guild Of America yesterday in Los Angeles, California.

My spies told me that actor Lance Gross took actress LisaRaye aside and they had a long talk. I have no clue what they spoke about. You may recall that Gross' ego was shattered after he tried to holla at LisaRaye and she brushed aside his immature advances at a party in LA. Lance had just been dumped by pseudo model Eva Pigford and he needed another Hollywood name to latch onto to keep him relevant. But LisaRaye had her guard up after being used by a man once before. Gross later denied the incident ever took place, but we had witnesses.

Actress Megan Good also attended the evening's festivities looking hawt in a one shoulder gown!

Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade participated in Alonzo Mourning's Zo's Groove All Star game on Sunday (July 18) at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. The All Star game wasn't exactly all-star. Rajon Rondo of the Celtics was the only other NBA starter on the bench.

Actress Gabrielle Union, left, and somebody named K-Rose, watched Gabby's fiance Dwyane Wade play in the Zo's Groove All Star game in Miami.

Dwyane and Gabby got all dressed up for the Zo's Groove Benefit dinner at the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe on Saturday (July 17) in Miami.

Former Miami Heat player Alonzo Mourning is obviously elated over the LeBron James addition to the team, but talent isn't the only thing he's excited about. Tomorrow marks the 14th annual Summer Groove, a week's worth of charity events sponsored by Mourning and current Heat guard Dwyane Wade. With the star power of a Wade, James and Chris Bosh combo, it'll attract more charitable donations.

"Knowing the economics here in South Florida, it's going to be a huge plus for so many," Mourning said. "A lot of people are going to benefit from this in the community. From a philanthropic standpoint, we have to utilize it. We have to continue to change more lives. D-Wade and I understand the impact this could have."

Shawn Marion's publicist reached out to yesterday to enlighten us about NBA star Shawn Marion's many generous and charitable contributions.

Danika Berry of the DBAgency PR firm responded quickly yesterday to my blog post about Dallas exotic dancer Zeralyn's assertion that Mr. Marion was a stingy tipper.

Ms. Berry wanted us to know that -- while Mr. Marion may not always feel charitable towards local strippers who work hard for the money -- he does love the kids.

She writes:

Shawn created and established The Shawn Marion Foundation in 2007 in order to help single parent families. Last month Shawn along with his mom and three sisters were featured in the Mother¹s Day issue of Jet Magazine for pampering single moms for their hard work.

She continues:
"I read the blog that was posted by one of your readers regarding Shawn Marion. It¹s obvious that this young lady has misrepresented Mr. Marion."

I hope Alicia has stock in the company that she buys all her makeup from. I shudder to think what her face looks like under all of that pancake batter.

CNN confirms pregnancy rumors.

Alicia Keys and music producer Swizz Beak are engaged to be married later this year. The blogs will have a field day when he dumps her shortly thereafter. He's just using her.

British royal subject Sarah Ferguson, The Duchess of York, will be eating crow with a side order of humble pie for some time to come.

That is because the 50-year-old, known affectionately as "Fergie," fell victim to a sophisticated sting operation organized by British tabloid News of the World that has tongues wagging on both sides of the Atlantic today.

Poor Sarah was caught on camera taking a $40,000 cash bribe from a fake oil sheik in return for hooking him up with her ex-husband, Britain's Prince Andrew -- The Duke of York, and son of the Queen of England.

The $40,000 was a cash advance on $500,000 that the fake sheik promised to deliver to Sarah at a later date after she introduced him to Prince Andrew.

Sarah was caught on film saying:

"He knows that he's had to underwrite me up to now because I've got no money. So if you want to meet him in your business, look after me and he'll look after you. . . you'll get it back tenfold."

Sarah can also be heard on the video saying her ex-husband, the prince, would never take a penny from anyone because he is "Whiter than white."

Fergie was apparently so destitute while living under the roof of the Royal family, that she risked her reputation and her shaky standing with the Queen.

Last night, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges held his annual Ludacris Foundation fundraiser at the high end Ralph Lauren Purple label boutique inside Lenox Square mall in Atlanta.

Celebrities included Gabrielle Union, who co-hosted with Luda; actresses Keshia Knight Pulliam and Mari Morrow, singer Bobby Valentino, football great Warrick Dunn, Kim Zolciak's ex Lee "Big Poppa" Najjar, my winner of the $500 shopping spree Andrew Palmer and more!

Ralph Lauren's top executives flew in from New York for the event. Everyone who attended the event donated to the foundation through purchases from the boutique. Everyone bought something, even if it was a decorative candle. 15% of the purchases went to the Ludacris Foundation.

My lucky winner Andrew Palmer, a student at University of South Georgia, was able to meet Ludacris and Gabrielle Union and take pictures with them. Then Andrew, whose username is "Acemaster" on my blog, went shopping for clothes with his winnings! Thanks again to Ludacris, The Ludacris Foundation, Jamal Coleman of J Coleman Presents and Chaka Zulu for making that happen for him!

You voted and you decided that the winner of the $500 shopping spree should be Acemaster! Thank you to everyone who shared their touching stories with us. There will be more chances to win giveaways, tickets, etc., in the very near future!

Special thanks to Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, The Ludacris Foundation and Jamal Coleman of J. Coleman Presents.

Here is Acemaster's touching comment that won him the $500 shopping spree with Ludacris and Gabrielle Union next Wednesday:

Dear Sandra, and Luda,

I just want to say this is truly touching what you guys are doing. There many people like you. I think I should win. I havent had much at all in life. I was basically dealt a bad card. I just accepted it and hoped for the best. I am a full time college student/athlete. I am majoring in Pre-med Biology.I have to work because my mother is sick, and disabled. She cannot provide anything for me or my brothers. I kind feel looked down upon from alot of people, because of the lack of things I do not posses. It is hard trying to make good grades, and doing sports. I lost my job because of my busy schedule.

If I win this it would impact my life for the better, and know there are good people in the world who care for others. This opportunity will help me mature into a successful male.

Thank you Sandra, and Luda.

I love to watch how narcissists like Tameka Foster react when they're put on the spot. Self-centered narcissists only want to talk about are their own achievements and anything that makes them look omnipotent (influential).

But in this recent interview on CNN, anchor Don Lemon upset Tameka's apple cart by asking Tameka about life after her dvorce from singer Usher, which she doesn't want to discuss since "divorce" is a failure and not exactly a crowning achievement.

if you recall, it took Tameka a while to even admit she was separated from Usher, much less divorced! Watch her begin to spazz out and lose her cool at the 1:34 mark when Don attempts to take the spotlight off of her and onto Usher and the blogs (who helped make her famous).

Thanks to loyal reader Jovonna of, who points out that Tameka should have her interviews scripted beforehand to avoid uncomfortable moments like this.

Take heed if you are planning on flying RHOA cast member NeNe Leakes and her hubby, Greg, to your city and paying all their expenses to host your charity event: she does not honor her commitments.

This story will be in the NY Post's Page Six tomorrow, but we're giving you the scoop on first!

NeNe and her husband Greg were invited to Boca Raton, Florida by "Women On the Move" founder Leslie Harris (pictured, left) to host an event to raise funds for breast cancer research.

Harris founded "Women on the Move" to raise breast cancer awareness after her own grandmother succumbed to the disease. She planned to add a little star power by tapping Real Housewives of Atlanta diva Lisa Wu-Hartwell and Leakes to host the inaugural "Unveil Your Pink" charity auction to benefit Susan G. Komen For The Cure this weekend.

Harris, who is a millionaire entrepreneur, paid all of the Leakes' expenses and put the couple up in a $2,000 a night room at the 4-star Brazilian Court Resort hotel. It was all good until Leakes called Harris today to inform her that she was not doing any press.

After a polite inquiry by Harris who reminded NeNe of her contractual obligations to do press, NeNe said, "Well, I'm entitled to change my mind if I want to."

When Harris told NeNe she could go home if she wasn't going to do press, NeNe allegedly responded, "Buh bye, BITCH!"

I'm told that Harris immediately called the airport and promptly canceled NeNe's return flight to Atlanta, leaving her and hubby Greg stranded at the airport!

Harris then faxed over a copy of the signed contract to her attorney. A lawsuit will be filed on Monday against NeNe Leakes for breach of contract.

According to my spies, NeNe had no intentions of hosting the event or doing any press as contractually agreed.

She simply wanted a free trip to Florida so she and Greg could attend a star-studded event taking place in Miami this weekend on South Beach with such celebs as Boris Kodjoe, his wife Ari, Steve Harvey and Nia Long.

My spies pointed to this tweet posted by NeNe earlier today as proof that NeNe had no intentions of honoring her agreement with Leslie Harris in Boca Raton.

T.I. made his first public appearance at his boo Tiny's Alzheimer's benefit last night in midtown. T.I. who is still the property of the U.S. government wasn't allowed to take photos. But he did take the stage with Tiny and said a few words.

As most of you know, Tiny's dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's a few years ago. T.I. is scheduled to be released from a halfway house next month.

From Global Grind:

Tiny and Toya had put on a benefit concert last night at Opera in Atlanta, and were taping for their BET reality show "Tiny & Toya" at the same time, and T.I. came out to support his fiance Tameka "Tiny" Cottle. It was actually Clifford's first public appearance since being released from prison.
"I am very well, very happy to be seen," is what T.I. had to say as he accompanied Tameka "Tiny" Cottle on stage at the "For The Love Of Our Fathers" fundraiser for Alzheimer research.
Not only did T.I. surprise those in attendance with his appearance, but he also got Tiny a gift. When she left the venue, there was a brand new blue Porsche Panamera with a red bow waiting for her.

For once I agree with something Jay Z said. He may not be articulate, but he speaks his mind. Jay explained that he refused to partake in the remake of 1985's "We Are The World" because he felt the original could not be touched.

Indeed, the remake to WATW, in all its saccharine absurdity, is nothing more than a celebrity's opportunity to jump on board the narcissist express. Celebrities will take part in anything as long as they know they have the attention of the world.

Kudos to Jay Z for not taking part in this narcissist fest. If celebs really want to make a difference in Haiti, they should put their money where their mouth is and open up their wallets.

Monica, Akon, Keri Hilson, Queen Latifah, Mary J Blige, Ludacris, LL Cool J, Mike Tyson, Pharrell Williams, Pete Wentz, and others took the stage at American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida to urge hip-hop and R&B fans watching live on BET to donate much-needed cash to Haiti tonight.

The people of Port au Prince, Haiti are still recovering from a 7.0-magnitude earthquake that rocked the tiny island nation Jan. 12.

Diddy told the audience and viewers across America he felt "extremely proud" to be part of the event.
Damian Marley, Justin Bieber, Nas, Mary J. Blige, former U.S. President Bill Clinton and rapper Lil Wayne - in what will be his last public appearance before starting a year-long jail sentence - were also billed to take part in the two-hour fundraiser, which aired live on many U.S. TV networks.

The event was hastily organised to benefit charities including Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti foundation, as well as CARE, Project Medishare and Children's Safe Drinking Water.
George Clooney's recent Hope For Haiti Now telethon, held last month raised over $60 million for survivors of the earthquake. Read More...

Two D-listers went toe-to-toe last week at L.A.'s Laugh Factory where VH1's Poprah (I Want TO Work For Diddy) was hosting a Haiti benefit. Reality TV personality, who has been certified mentally unfit to be a mother, showed up and refused to leave the stage. SO Poprah did what she does best and showed out for the cameras.

Musical legends and A-listers galore gathered together at a studio in Hollywood yesterday to record "We Are the World Haiti" with proceeds from the song's sales going to Haiti relief efforts.

25 years ago, Quincy Jones recorded the original "We Are the World" and asked the megastars, including Michael Jackson, Diana Ross and Bruce Springstein, to check their egos at the door.

The list of artists on this version of WATW reads like a Who's Who of Hollywood and Hip Hop. LEgends Nancy Wilson, Natalie Cole, Freda Payne, Tony Bennett, Verdine White, Phillip Bailey and Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire were all there. The new school was represented by Justin Beiber, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers.

Surprisingly, Beyonce, Jay Z and Rihanna didn't make it to the session even though they were in Hollywood yesterday. Wyclef, whose career got a big boost from the tragedy over in Haiti, made himself available for the session. He appears in most of the photos because he annoyingly made himself the center of attention in the room. I'm sure the other narcissists didn't appreciate him hogging the camera.

Below and after the break is a partial list of the stars who appear on the record.

Convicted woman beater Chris Brown attended the Kriss Van Assche fashion show during Paris Menswear Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2010 in Paris yesterday. He was rumored to be hosting a party in Miami this past Saturday. But since CB was still in Paris, it looks like the promoter simply used his name to pack his club.

Troubled rapper/producer Kanye West and his beard Amber Rose attended the Kriss Van Assche fashion show during Paris Menswear Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2010 in Paris yesterday. Last week I spoke with someone close to Kanye's camp who confirmed that Amber and Kanye have a relationship of convenience. "They're not in love with each other," the source told me. But we already knew that. And, yes, Kanye and Amber are bi-sexual, but we already knew that too so don't act surprised.

Normally I don't care for Beyonce's personal style which consists of sequined dresses and hooker hand-me-downs. But I do LOVE her jacket! It's very tre chic! Beyonce and her husband Jay Z were spotted leaving the 'Hope for Haiti' benefit at the Hospital in Covent Gardens, London UK on Saturday (Jan. 22).

Later, they were spotted at the airport carrying oranges.

DJ Solange rocked the house at Mia Lounge in Miami where she was hosting Takeover Thursdays. "I’m really having a blast,” Knowles told NBC Miami's Niteside blog. Once inside the booth, told DJ Stevie J that “I got this” and promptly took over the turntables. No word on what she played. Shout out to loyal reader Gigi Griffin for the link!

Entertainment's most boring couples Beyonce and Jay Z and Kanye/Amber arrived in Paris, France yesterday. Beyonce and Jay Z will take to the stage to raise funds for relief efforts in Haiti.

And we don't know what Kanye and Amber are doing other than looking like confused, oversized penguins in those fur coats.

As you know, Kanye West was asked not to participate in the telethon for Haiti that airs tonight on MTV and other networks. A producer told celebrity gossip blog that George Clooney, who organized the telethon, decided not to invite the emotionally disturbed Kanye to avoid any embarrassing outbursts.

MTV released a statement yesterday disputing this report and claiming the network extended an invite to Kanye. But insiders say MTV is just doing spin control and the producers of the show do not want Kanye to appear on the telethon.

Photos: Splash News Online

When a celebrity is blackballed in the entertainment industry, this is how it begins.

Reportedly, troubled singer/producer Kanye West has been banned from the star-studded Haiti Telethon that airs on several networks tomorrow night.

The telethon to raise money for Haiti relief efforts is co-hosted by George Clooney in Hollywood and Wyclef Jean in New York. Many celebrities are expected to attend and show their support for Haiti during the two-hour telecast. But Kanye won't be among them.

According to via NY Mag:

Kanye West is among the only top stars not invited to appear on tomorrow's George Clooney–organized telethon for Haiti. "After what he said on the Katrina telethon and the way he behaved at the MTV Video Music Awards, everyone agrees it's just best that he does not participate," says a producer. "Kanye has to make everything about himself. He will do anything to steal the spotlight and, well, this night it's just not about him."

Kanye is considered a social outcast in Hollywood since selfishly storming the stage and snatching the mic out of country singer Taylor Swift's hand during the American Music Music Awards last year. Kanye is learning the hard way that being an out-of-control narcissist is not very good for one's career.

Singers Rihanna, Maxwell and Wyclef Jean appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show today to talk about relief efforts in Haiti after the devastating earthquake.

As usual, Wyclef Jean tried to make the show all about him, saying, "I'm from Haiti. I'm willing to go to Haiti. I need a task force and if they put me in charge of the airport with the U.S. I can help facilitate... get the stuff to the people."

Why would the U.S. put Wyclef in charge of anything when he couldn't even run his own charity organization, Yele Haiti?

After witnessing him demoralize and put down former Fugees lead singer Lauren Hill right in front of me back in 1996, I have a very low regard for Wyclef (as I do for all narcissists). He thinks everything is about him.

Rihanna and Maxwell performed their singles "Redemption Song" and "Fistful of Tears" which are now available for download on, iTunes and the artists' websites.

One week after a earthquake shattered his homeland, Haitian-born singer/songwriter Wyclef Jean stood before assembled journalists at a press conference with tears falling down his cheeks, and lied his azz off.

Wyclef called the press conference to defend his so-called charity, Yele, from accusations of sloppy record keeping, money mismanagement and self-profiting from the misfortune of others.

"Have we made mistakes? Yes," Jean said Monday. "Did I ever use Yele money for personal benefit? Absolutely not."

Wyclef went on to recount how he helped pick up dead bodies from the ravaged streets of Haiti. Yet the day before the press conference, while his people were still buried alive under rubble, Wyclef was basking in the glare of hot lights on the sunny beaches of Miami shooting a video to beg for even more money for a charity that doesn't even have a staff or the resources to help with disaster relief.

Wyclef spent only 2 short days in Haiti before returning to the states on Saturday (Jan. 16). He hasn't been back to Haiti since.

Today, Oprah will air a one hour special on Haiti with performances by Rihanna and Maxwell. Wyclef will talk about his couple of days there and beg for more money.

On Friday, Wyclef will shoot a two-hour telethon with celebrities such as George Clooney, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J Blige, Justin Timberlake and CNN's Anderson Cooper who helped save a wounded boy from a mob in Haiti this week.

The money will be divided up between Yele and other charity organizations already on the ground in Haiti helping the people.

The pressure and intense scrutiny finally got to former Fugees frontman Wyclef Jean who put on an emotional show weeping during a press conference yesterday where he defended the sloppy paperwork for his charity organization Yele.

The charity took in $2 million in text message donations as a result of urgent pleas by Wyclef immediately following a massive earthquake that rocked his native Haiti last week.

Yele and its board members came under fire last week after a Smoking Gun report revealed that Wyclef -- a millionaire -- paid himself and his bass player hundreds of thousands of dollars in expenses, and paid $30,000 to a man who worked in the kitchen of Wyclef's Manhattan studio.

Wyclef also charged Yele $100,000 for a live performance and annual rent for a small space in his studio. Additionally, the state of Florida dissolved the charity 4 times for failing to provide required disclosure reports.

Yele, which benefited from the star power of Wyclef, has no staff and no resources or means to get the money and relief to the people of Haiti in a timely fashion.

Wyclef tugged at heartstrings during the press conference by recounting his brief time picking up corpses on the island. "My people are dying, and I have to go back in a few days," he said.

Though his tortuous path to Haiti and back is lined with good intentions, the fact is that Yele is not an appropriate organization to provide massive relief efforts which are required immediately in Haiti.

Thanks to loyal reader BlackBarbie404 for sending this link to a story on Smoking Gun about Wyclef Jean's "charity" which apparently only enriches him and his family. Now I want my money back. I think I'll call the bank and cancel my donation.

The Haiti earthquake has already triggered hundreds of thousands of donations to musician Wyclef Jean's charitable foundation, which expects to raise upwards of $1 million a day in the disaster's wake. However, Internal Revenue Service records show the group has a lackluster history of accounting for its finances, and that the organization has paid the performer and his business partner at least $410,000 for rent, production services, and Jean's appearance at a benefit concert. Though the Wyclef Jean Foundation, which does business as Yele Haiti Foundation, was incorporated 12 years ago--and has been active since that time--the group only first filed tax returns in August 2009. That month, the foundation provided the IRS with returns covering calendar years 2005, 2006, and 2007--the only periods for which it has publicly provided a glimpse at its financial affairs. In 2006, Jean's charity reported contributions of $1 million, the bulk of which came from People magazine in exchange for the first photos of a pregnant Angelina Jolie (the actress reportedly directed that the publication's payment go to Jean's charity, not her personally). As seen on the following pages from the foundation's 2006 tax return, the group paid $31,200 in rent to Platinum Sound, a Manhattan recording studio owned by Jean and Jerry Duplessis, who, like Jean, is a foundation board member. A $31,200 rent payment was also made in 2007 to Platinum Sound. The rent, tax returns assure, "is priced below market value." The recording studio also was paid $100,000 in 2006 for the "musical performance services of Wyclef Jean at a benefit concert." That six-figure payout, the tax return noted, "was substantially less than market value." The return, of course, does not address why Jean needed to be paid to perform at his own charity's fundraiser. Read More...
