Vivica A. Fox, Bill Bellamy, Gary Busey, Alex Thomas star in new comedy series Mr. Box Office

Over the weekend many celebrities and entertainment dignitaries were in town for the BET Hip Hop Awards. One of the stars I spoke with was comedian Alex Thomas (pictured 2nd from left), whom you may remember from the hit 2001 movie Two Can Play That Game with actress Vivica A. Fox.

Well, Thomas and Fox have teamed up again to star in the hilarious comedy TV series Mr. Box Office, which airs Saturday nights at 9 p.m. on the CW Network (check your local listings).

Mr. Box Office is a comedy sitcom about “the biggest star in the world” who is sentenced to community service, teaching English at the “toughest” high school in America.

In Case You Missed It: The New Normal

There are two things that should never be discussed at the dinner table: politics and gay marriage. NBC’s scripted series The New Normal covers all of that and more.

In Tuesday’s episode (which we can argue is nothing but a campaign vehicle for Obama), Bryan (Andrew Rannells) and David (Justin Bartha) threw a dinner party to prove to Nana (Ellen Barkin) that they have black friends. The idea for the dinner came up after Nana (whose family has always voted Republican) accused Bryan and David of being racist because they voted for Obama. Her reasoning was the gay couple voted for Obama because he was black, hence, they must be racist.

America’s Children Are Hungry – and they’re blaming Michelle Obama’s school lunch menu

America’s children are starving as a result of the controversial mandated National school lunch policy, which is the brain child of the first lady Michelle Obama.

Mrs. Obama is fighting obesity by forcing children to subsist on vegetables, fruit, whole grains and nuts.

But a group of students are protesting what they see as forced starvation diets. They say they are hungry and they’re not taking the school lunch policy sitting down.

In a video uploaded to YouTube.com, hungry students faint from lack of energy after eating the 750-850 calories that Mrs. Obama’s school lunches provide.

The children argue that the low calories are not enough to meet the physical needs of growing teenagers.

In Case You Missed It: Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta Reunion, Part 1

In case you missed Joseline Hernandez’s silly antics on Monday night’s raucous Love & Hip Hop Atlanta reunion, watch the full episode after the break. My personal opinion of the entire season has not changed: Mona Scott-Young’s heavy “influence” can be seen throughout the series. The popular series may not be scripted, but many of the scenes were strongly suggested by Scott-Young and her producers.

In Case You Missed It: Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Episode 10 (Finale)

Last night’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Finale was undramatic, to say the least. If you expected Joseline “Jose” Hernandez to turn over some furniture in the 2nd therapy session with her manager Stevie J and his long-suffering baby mama, Mimi, you will be disappointed.

Mimi and Stevie J meet up at the palatial mansion of one of Mimi’s clients (she owns the Keep It Clean, Inc. celebrity cleaning service). Mimi finally gets the courage to tell Stevie that they are finished as a couple.

“I don’t want to be in a relationship with you anymore. I’m done,” says Mimi. But Stevie responds: “I gave you a kid when everybody else tossed you to the wayside!”

In Case You Missed It: Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Episode 9

I missed last night’s episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, but I fell out when I watched the video of K. Michelle wearing that wedding dress. Did she really think Memphitz was going to marry her? The scene with Joseline Hernandez and Karlie Redd was equally as pitiful. When are you ladies going to learn the difference between love and dopamine?

I keep telling you kids about the effects of dopamine on the brain. Dopamine will have you thinking you’re in love — but love and sex are not the same. STOP saying “I thought you said you loved me?” and START saying “I’ll know when you really love me.”
