Last month I promised to hold a contest to give you ladies a chance to win a pair of custom Tyre LaJuan Swarovski Crystal shoes with a retail value of $2,500!

Celebrity stylist Tyre sent over these shoes for you to choose from if you win. Brand names that you can select from include Dsquared2, Badgley Mischka (eavan/elia) and Report Signature. Then Tyre will custom design the shoes with Swarovsky crystals!

Tyre just completed a unique custom Swarovski design for VH1 Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada. He tweeted about it today. Evelyn hasn't seen them yet! She's in for a big surprise!

Then tweet the words:

@TyreLaJuan: "I'm a loyal member of and I want those shoes!"

In order to win, you must be a registered member of I will post the winner here on my blog on Thursday, Aug. 26.

The contest ends on Wednesday, August 25th. Good luck! :)

I just put up a post about the 2010 BET Awards nominations being announced today, but to be honest, I didn't even look at the nominations.

So it was a surprise to me when I got a call just about an hour ago from an industry exec questioning why Monica wasn't nominated for Best Female R&B Artist?

Here is the category again in case you missed it like I did:

Best Female R&B Artist
Mary J. Blige
Melanie Fiona
Alicia Keys

How is Beyonce's name on the list with a 2 year old album? I like Melanie Fiona's music, but she isn't even a household name. And Rihanna is clearly a pop artist.

Naturally Monica's followers on Twitter are in an uproar. Many twitterers report BET's Twitter page blocking them. According to the industry exec I spoke with, it seems BET deliberately left Monica off the Female R&B list so as not to appear biased towards Monica since her highly rated reality show, Still Standing, is on the BET network.

Last night, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges held his annual Ludacris Foundation fundraiser at the high end Ralph Lauren Purple label boutique inside Lenox Square mall in Atlanta.

Celebrities included Gabrielle Union, who co-hosted with Luda; actresses Keshia Knight Pulliam and Mari Morrow, singer Bobby Valentino, football great Warrick Dunn, Kim Zolciak's ex Lee "Big Poppa" Najjar, my winner of the $500 shopping spree Andrew Palmer and more!

Ralph Lauren's top executives flew in from New York for the event. Everyone who attended the event donated to the foundation through purchases from the boutique. Everyone bought something, even if it was a decorative candle. 15% of the purchases went to the Ludacris Foundation.

My lucky winner Andrew Palmer, a student at University of South Georgia, was able to meet Ludacris and Gabrielle Union and take pictures with them. Then Andrew, whose username is "Acemaster" on my blog, went shopping for clothes with his winnings! Thanks again to Ludacris, The Ludacris Foundation, Jamal Coleman of J Coleman Presents and Chaka Zulu for making that happen for him!

You voted and you decided that the winner of the $500 shopping spree should be Acemaster! Thank you to everyone who shared their touching stories with us. There will be more chances to win giveaways, tickets, etc., in the very near future!

Special thanks to Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, The Ludacris Foundation and Jamal Coleman of J. Coleman Presents.

Here is Acemaster's touching comment that won him the $500 shopping spree with Ludacris and Gabrielle Union next Wednesday:

Dear Sandra, and Luda,

I just want to say this is truly touching what you guys are doing. There many people like you. I think I should win. I havent had much at all in life. I was basically dealt a bad card. I just accepted it and hoped for the best. I am a full time college student/athlete. I am majoring in Pre-med Biology.I have to work because my mother is sick, and disabled. She cannot provide anything for me or my brothers. I kind feel looked down upon from alot of people, because of the lack of things I do not posses. It is hard trying to make good grades, and doing sports. I lost my job because of my busy schedule.

If I win this it would impact my life for the better, and know there are good people in the world who care for others. This opportunity will help me mature into a successful male.

Thank you Sandra, and Luda.

The Ludacris Foundation and are teaming up to take one lucky male winner on a $500 shopping spree!

The private shopping spree will take place next Wednesday, April 21 at a private location in Atlanta. The winner (and his guest) will be invited VIP guests of Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, actress Gabrielle Union and DTP CEO Chaka Zulu.

In addition to new clothes, the winner will be presented with a limited edition Polo Purple Label tie designed exclusively by Ludacris and Chaka Zulu. No expense has been spared in the creation of the fabrics nor in the making of the actual tie.

The fabric will be woven in England, and the tie will be hand made in Italy. The fabric is 100% silk. The tie is black with a slim purple stripe, and an exclusively designed Ludacris Foundation crest jacquard woven into the fabric. A special label which says: “The Ludacris Foundation A Limited Edition of One Hundred” will be woven into the small end of the tie.

The tie will retail for $200. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from sales of the tie will be donated to The Ludacris Foundation. A special card will be created to be included in each tie box that speaks to the meaning of the crest; including the Dove, The Hand in Armor and The Gold Chevron symbols on the crest.

Chaka Zulu, CEO of DTP, has personally purchased 107 of the ties -- at a cost of over $20,000 -- to present to the entire graduating class of Chicago's Urban Prep charter school, who have all been accepted to colleges of their choice.

The recession has hit men, blacks and Hispanics especially hard. So we want to do something for a male reader who has recently lost his job, or is currently going on interviews for a new job.

To win, just leave a comment explaining why you should win -- or if you're a female: why you think your husband/boyfriend should win.

The winner will be selected tomorrow, April 16. Special thanks to Jamal Coleman (pictured below) of J. Coleman Presents; and The Ludacris Foundation!
