Rumor Control: Monica Denies Pregnancy Rumors

So last night I logged onto my Twitter page to catch up on the latest tweets, when I noticed two of my loyal readers commenting back and forth on R&B Diva Monica’s thrilling performance on BET’s Black Girls Rock.

@vibaby, who was chatting with @eastpointvet, tweeted “Monica is pregnant…”

Jokingly, I retweeted her tweet and I added: “Why am I the last to know?” Suddenly, my cell phone blew up with calls. Before I could tweet, “I was only kidding!,” Mo herself text messaged me to confirm that she was not pregnant with fiance Shannon Brown’s child.

Here’s what she wrote:

My cousin just texted and asked ‘why are u the last to know’….. I am ABSOLUTELY not pregnant. God’s Grace, Great kids, Great Family and Super good love sometimes = what we in the country call happy weight. LOL. No worries. Jesus I have gotten tons of calls. Not because u said it. But my publicist said people are asking her. I didn’t look that different to me. LOL…. Oh, well.

So there you have it. If Mo was pregnant, I’m sure she would let her fans know the happy news immediately. You would not learn the joyous news on Twitter.com.

Obama’s Trip Not As Expensive As You May Have Heard

My loyal readers know that if I’m wrong about information posted on my blog, I will take steps to correct it.

According to CNN and USA Today, certain expense figures related to U.S. President Obama’s upcoming trip to India, Delhi and Indonesia are incorrect.

A government source in India who claimed to be privy to such information, stated the trip was going to cost American taxpayers $200 million a day.

But that figure might be exaggerated.

“The numbers reported in this article have no basis in reality,” said White House spokesman Tommy Vietor. “Due to security concerns, we are unable to outline details associated with security procedures and costs, but it’s safe to say these numbers are wildly inflated.” [link]

The reports go on to say that Indonesia is the world’s largest Muslim majority nation. And Obama has pledged to work toward better relations with Muslim nations.

We’ll see what the final figures are when (or if) they are finally released by the Obama administration.

Tina Knowles: “By now I should have about 5 or 6 grandchildren”

Beyone’s mom Tina Knowles appeared on ‘The Ellen Show’ yesterday to hawk her clothing line. She also took the opportunity to deny rampant rumors that her daughter is once again pregnant by Jay Z.

“The truth is that it’s not Beyonce that’s pregnant, it’s me,” Knowles joked. “I’m kidding y’all. I’m 56. No, it’s not true” she said in reference to the rumor that seems to pop up whenever someone in the Knowles family has something to promote, such as an album or clothing line.

US Weekly broke the fake news yesterday on its website. The magazine (probably with the blessings of the Knowles) manufactured a blatant lie, and even added an old quote from Beyonce’s sister Solange Knowles to add legitimacy.

Every reliable major news outlet picked up the story and reported on it as fact, because US Weekly was once considered a legitimate news source.

“With all the rumors, I should have about 5 or 6 grandchildren by now,” said Knowles. The segment will air today. Check your local listings for times.

BEYONCE PREGNANCY RUMORS ARE FALSE (So what else is new?)

According to NewsOXY.com, Beyonce is not pregnant for the 20th time with Jay Z’s 2nd child, as reported first by US Weekly magazine this morning. Are some magazines that desperate sell issues?

Beyonce pregnant report with Jay-Z false. A pregnant story about Beyonce and how her and Jay-Z are expecting their first child is false. Sources say Beyonce is not pregnant and that the report is totally “misleading and false.”

It’s a shame that there are so many mistrusted Web sites that report such inaccuracy in an attempt to get traffic on the Internet. We’ve seen these pregnant rumors before. They have been fabricated time and time again.

Sources close to the couple say Beyonce “is not planning to have a baby anytime soon.” There is truth that the singer does want to have children. When that happens, we’ll be on it like hotcakes on the griddle.

Selita Ebanks is back on the market; denies dating Kanye

Socialite and sometime model Selita Ebanks denies dating troubled rapper/producer Kanye West.

Of course we knew this all along, but Ebanks has finally spoken out about the rumors that she is dating West, who is humorously referred to in some circles as a “gay fish.”

Model and former Nick Cannon boo thang Selita Ebanks has denied gettin’ cozy with rapper Kanye West. Ebanks, (who was also linked to Maxwell some months ago), and West were snapped sitting next to each other at the U.S. Open and at this week’s New Yorkers for Children Benefit Gala.

Despite Kanye referring to Selita as his ‘muse,’ Ebanks set the record straight regarding herself and Mr. West.

“I’m just happy that he’s a great friend. I love his creativity. I love that he thinks outside the box,” she continued. “He’s just himself. Not only am I a fan, I support him 100%.” Read more

Correction: Monica and Maino Are Just Good Friends

Earlier today I told you that Monica and rapper Maino were officially an item. This information came from an employee of Atlantic Records publicity department named Ashley Kalmanowitz.

Apparently, Ashley took it upon herself to deliberately deceive this blog and others by sending the photos of Maino and Monica under false pretenses. This was a publicity stunt gone wrong.

Monica attempted to reach out to me personally today to clear up this matter, but, unfortunately, we played phone tag all day. Monica is highly upset and she wants Sandrarose.com readers to know the truth.

Maino and Monica have been friends for over 10 years and they are not dating. A source who asked not to be identified, confirmed that Monica is dating Shannon Brown of the LA Lakers (more on that later).

Here is an email sent to Sandrarose.com by Patrice Horton of Mo’s management team:

Hi Sandra, it’s Patrice Horton. I am apart of Monicas team and she has been trying to contact you today. She hasn’t been addressing any rumors but feels it necessary to make it clear that she is not in a relationship with Maino at all and apologizes to him his mate and loved ones for any pain this may cause. They in my opinion are both great people and them and their families are all friends but that is all.

These rumors hurt the people that they are both seeing and must be stopped. Thank God for you and your site. We can always let people know the TRUTH. The funny part is this photo was taken as they saw each other and said hello. Monica was flown in with myself, other staff and Melinda just in time to be in the wedding . She left her performance and caught two planes to be there . She would never have missed it because she loves and adores her friendship with Tiny. Just wanted you to have the facts.
