Man held in brutal rape and murder of Las Vegas mom, daughter

A Las Vegas man is being held without bond in the brutal bludgeoning deaths of a mother and her daughter in their central valley home.

Police say Bryan Clay, 22, was a total stranger to Ignacia and Arturo Martinez when he broke into their home and attacked them with a hammer on April 15.

Ignacia, 38, and her daughter Karla, 10, were both raped and beaten to death with a claw hammer. The weapon was not recovered.

The attacks left Ignacia’s husband, Arturo, unconscious with traumatic head injuries. He remains in critical condition in an intensive care unit, unable to speak to investigators. Police say the Martinez’s two sons, 9 and 4, were at home at the time of the attacks, but they were uninjured.

“This was a complete stranger killing a mother and daughter and attacking the father,” Lt. Ray Steiber told the Associated Press. “I’ve been doing this (police work) 24 years, and you don’t see cases like this. I can’t even put this into words.”

Zimmerman judge issues gag order; delays ruling on $200,000 in donations

Former neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman received over $200,000 in donations to his website, it was revealed Thursday. But Zimmerman failed to disclose the donations to the judge during his bond hearing.

Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara, revealed the donations to CNN’s Anderson Cooper Thursday night. Now the judge presiding over the case has issued a gag order on O’Mara.

Zimmerman, 28, is charged with 2nd degree murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida.

Assistant State Attorney Bernie de la Rionda also wasn’t aware of the donations until Thursday night. He asked Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. to increase Zimmerman’s $150,000 bond. But the judge has delayed his ruling, saying he does not have jurisdiction over the funds.

Judge Lester is also concerned about revealing the names of the donors. “I’m not going to make a snap decision,” Lester said.

During Zimmerman’s bond hearing, O’Mara insisted his client was broke and unable to find work due to his notoriety.

In Case You Missed It: Brandy – Behind The Music (Full video)

As you know, Brandy is not a friend of this blog. For that reason she gets no love from your auntie on this blog or in the streets. Unlike her gullible fans, I know a fraud when I see one. In this episode, she finally addresses the lie that she was married to her baby daddy. She basically admits that she was a slut who slept around and got pregnant.

To this day, Brandy refuses to take the blame for the tragic car accident that took the life of a mother — even though cell phone records shows she might have been on her phone when she slammed into the back of a woman’s vehicle at 65 miles per hour.

Through fake tears, Brandy said, “regardless of whose fault it was, I was in [an accident]… I didn’t wake up that day to be involved in a fatal car crash. I didn’t plan for that.”

Throwback Thursdays: TLC- What About Your Friends

Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of the tragic passing of TLC member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. In remembrance of their fallen sister, the surviving members of TLC, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas announced plans for a new tour with Left Eye. Coachella attendees are still buzzing about the late rapper Tupac Shakur’s resurrection onstage as a 3D Hologram.

The Tupac hologram was such a hit that it sparked rumors of Hologram comeback tours featuring icons Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley. But the cost of a hologram is dauntingly expensive ($100k to $500k). So will T-Boz and Chilli foot the bill for Left Eye’s hologram?

Actor accidentally hangs himself while re-enacting death of Judas

An actor accidentally hanged himself while re-enacting the death of Judas in an Easter play. The tragic accident took place in the town of Itarare, in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The actor, Tiago Klimeck, 27, hanged himself when he jumped off of a 4-foot perch with a stage noose around his neck. The noose was attached to a vest, like the kind used in movies, which is designed to break his fall and give the illusion that he was being hanged.

But the vest malfunctioned — or wasn’t secured properly. So when Klimeck jumped, the vest slid up and crushed his trachea (airway). Once his trachea was crushed, he could neither cry out nor breath. It was a slow and agonizing death. Klimeck’s cast members in the play didn’t realize he was choking to death.

While dad was snoozing, family pet tore the limbs off 2-month-old infant

Labrador retrievers are not known for this type of violence. But police say a family’s “gentle” lab tore the legs off of a 2-month-old infant as his father slept soundly in the next room.

From the NY Daily News:

A supposedly “gentle” pooch named Lucky is suspected of killing a 2-month-old baby and tearing the child’s body apart in South Carolina.

Aiden McGrew, who was born on Valentine’s Day and was the youngest of three children, was found dead in his family’s mobile home Friday in Ridgeville by his mother, according to The Post and Courier newspaper.

The baby was in a swing when Lucky, a golden retriever-Labrador mix, bit the child several times and tore off his legs, authorities said.

The child’s father, Quintin, was in the home at the time, police said. He was in another room asleep with the family’s 3-year-old and their other dog.

The baby was discovered when his mother, Chantel, came home after taking their seven-year-old to a doctor’s appointment, The Post and Courier reported.

Alleged photo of Zimmerman’s bloody head surfaces

A photographer has released a photo to the media reportedly showing George Zimmerman’s bloody head after an altercation with 17-year-old Trayvon Martin ended in the teenager’s murder.

According to ABC News, which obtained the photo, the photographer claims to have taken the photo “three minutes after he shot and killed Martin.”

Serious head wounds bleed profusely. They do not stop bleeding after 3 minutes. As a registered nurse, I do not see life threatening injuries in that photo.

The photo should not be allowed into evidence because it could have been taken at any time between Feb. 26 and the day he was arrested. The prosecution will likely rely on photos that were taken during the booking process by Sanford police, rather than the photo obtained by ABC, which could easily have been Photoshopped.
