A Journey from 1997 to 2017's "Can't Stop, Won't Stop: A Bad Boy Documentary."

September 29, 1997. Bill Clinton was President of the United States. Microsoft released Internet Explorer 4. And it was the night that I lied my way into the super-exclusive, grand opening party of Sean “Puffy” Combs’s first restaurant, Justin’s.
I was not in the “industry.” I was a graduate student at NYU. But, a friend in Los Angeles knew my ambitions.
Friend of the blog Omar “slim” White has a solution to the mass murder of young black men by police officers. Mr. White is a Vegan/Health Guru, Philosopher, Human Behavior Expert, and Celebrity Club Promoter based in Atlanta.
Friend of the blog Omar "slim" White has a unique perspective on heterosexual interpersonal relationships. Slim, who once dated actress Vivica A. Fox, believes sex is for procreation purposes, and that random recreational sex outside of committed relationships is a waste of energy.
Local nightclub promoter and personal fitness trainer Omar "Slim" White is a strict vegan who limits processed food or products that goes in or on his body. Slim, who once dated actress Vivica A. Fox, says he doesn't drink tap water and he even filters the water that he showers with.
Last week, a Michigan man came forward to claim a $337 million Powerball jackpot. The man said his entire family was retiring from their jobs. And therein lies the problem when hard working people suddenly strike it rich and quit their jobs for what they believe will be a life of leisure.
There's a saying that goes: "Idle hands are the devil's workshop." That old adage explains why so many wealthy people volunteer to work for free.
Instant millionaires find out all too quickly that money does not bring happiness or hope -- and without hope life is meaningless.
The staff over at the HipHopblog.com wrote an interesting post questioning whether rap mogul Jay Z, his wife Beyonce and singer Rihanna all boycotted the 2010 BET Awards because they knew in advance that Chris Brown, would be performing a MJ Tribute on the show.
That's a lot of star power to piss off just so BET could score ratings with Brown's staged PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE act.
Not only did BET's brass allow CB to perform his dance tribute, but they also set aside about two minutes and 25 seconds of valuable air time to give him the chance to publicly flog himself.
By doing this, BET allowed their now stellar awards show to be used as a self-serving propaganda vehicle for Brown, who was not allowed to perform last year because Jay Z and Beyonce were in attendance.
In the year and a half since the now infamous beating incident, Brown has not shown one iota of remorse for what he did to Rihanna.
All of this makes me wonder what will BET do next year to win Jay Z and Beyonce back?
A while back I promised you ladies that singer/songwriter Sean Garrett would chat live with you on Sandrarose.com. Well, Sean has agreed to take some time out of his busy schedule to chat with you guys tonight at 11 pm!
We're going to do it a little differently from the way we did our Live Chats in the past. Instead of Sean leaving comments, Sean will chat live via Ustream video embedded in this blog post so you can see him while he answers your comments directly.
Don't forget, Sean will select a few of you to spend some the day with him inside his studio so you can watch a master at work! Those of you without Gravatar pics will not be considered. Sean wants to see who he's picking to come to his studio.
Sean also asks that you keep it clean tonight. Don't act out of pocket or ask him dirty questions. He knows you want his Hawt body, but he wants you to save the sex talk for when you see him in person! Hey, you never know, I might meet you at his studio that day too!
Don't forget to check back tonight for Sean Garrett's Live Chat right here on Sandrarose.com!
Chat has been rescheduled for tomorrow night (Feb. 26) at 7 pm.

Longtime reader Danny Blaq is our guest blogger today. Danny, aka DBlaq, is an industry professional for over 12 years who has worked with many of today’s artists. He is also an entrepreneur with many business ventures under his hat including an online radio station (e411 Radio), graphic design, digital media services and a modeling agency.
DBlaq responded to my post on Democrat mandated prison time for Americans who refuse to buy health insurance if ObamaCare passes.
I don’t agree with that policy either, I don’t think people should be forced to buy anything in a free country. Also, whats annoys the crap out of me when people keep saying “Not on my tax dollar”. You don’t own that tax dollar. They spend that money however they want, regardless how you feel about it, once it's out of your check, paid or garnished. It belongs to the government. So stop saying that.
There are other options [than] mandating the insurance. For one: regulate insurance companies just like they do Georgia Power or any other monopolized company. Also, if they would just revamp the welfare system. How many of us know people on welfare get food stamps, only to sell them for 50%? Or if you are on welfare you shouldn’t be allowed to have any kids. People say that you can’t tell people what they need to do, Well I think they can when they want FREE Sh*t.
So there are a bunch of alternatives [than] to force people to buy insurance. Health care in Europe is not free. They pay more taxes over there plus they complain that their wait times are anywhere from 4 weeks - 6 months. WTF? Japan has a good healthcare system but it would never work in the US because of the type of people we are. Alot of things wouldn’t work for us because of our culture, so we can’t look at other countries.
I like what Obama stood for in his campaign, but that doesn’t mean I will agree with everything he does and I think that is a problem with us black people. We will take anything Obama says as gold because he is black. He [has] good points of views and he has bad ones. That is a bad one. Of course the lawmakers ain’t worrying about it because they already get the best healthcare there is!
