Rihanna Debuts Her Natty Dreads On ’2012 Idol Finale’ (Video)
Superstar Rihanna debuted her new natty dreads hairstyle Wednesday night during the 2012 American Idol Final Results show. Rihanna whipped her butt length dreads back and forth while performing her hit single “Where Have You Been” during the Finale.
Earlier, Rihanna tweeted a pic of her new dreads extensions, shocking her fans who doubted she was really making the transition to dreads.
Rihanna told her fans on Twitter.com she long wanted dreads since she was 14, but her mother wouldn’t allow it. Another follower asked Rihanna if her new hair was heavy. Rihanna responded: “as Goliath’s balls.”

Celebs Out & About: Rihanna
Troubled singer Rihanna, 24, was spotted outside the NBC studios wearing full makeup again after going without makeup for a few days. Rihanna acknowledged her “dumb” mistake on her Twitter page when photos emerged of her looking pale, drawn and tired. Unlike Rihanna, who is reportedly a recreational drug user and recovering alcoholic, women who go without makeup are usually well rested and always look fresh.
Hair weave thieves crash U-Haul into beauty supply store

This is getting ridiculous. Just when we thought the recent arrests of weave thieves meant the weave stealing spree in Atlanta was over — they strike again.
WSBTV reports that brazen hair weave robbers stole a U-Haul truck, and used it to crash through the storefront of J&J Beauty Supply store on Sylvan Road early Wednesday morning.
After crashing through the window, the thieves abandoned the truck and made a beeline for the high priced weave before fleeing in a second vehicle.
Celebs Out & About: Rihanna, Halle Berry, Nicki Minaj
Cartoon rapper Nicki Minaj was spotted leaving London’s Heathrow Airport, wearing a Boy London pink t-shirt, pink and black leggings and Transformer boots. Nicki is in London promoting her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. The troubled rapper cussed out a reporter for calling the album pop. But isn’t the album pop? And isn’t that why her fan base shied away from buying it?

Remember Hype Hair magazine? Unlike most urban hair magazines, Hype Hair has survived the economic downturn and is still going strong.
Tameka “Tiny” Harris and her daughter Zonnique, of the OMG Girlz, cover this month’s issue of Hype Hair.
From Xscapesightings.com:

I would like to to read how Tiny maintains her Chameleon style hair styles because she changes colors every week.
Solange wants to help you transition from weave and perms
A movement back to natural hair is underway in the U.S., and Beyonce’s sister, Solange Knowles is at the forefront of that movement.
Solange and the “Transitioning Movement” wants to help black women to return to their roots and embrace their natural hair. So Solange created a video to promote a new website started by Carol’s Daughter called transitioningmovement.com.
In a chat with Lisa Price, Solange, who usually wears afro wigs, talked about her decision to go natural. “To me, [it's] just another outlet of expression,” she explained. “It’s funny to see the social response, their interpretations of what a haircut, what a hair change means.”
The Transitioning Movement website — which launches this spring — will offer tips, product recommendations, photos, expert Q&A sessions and more for women transitioning from relaxers and weaves back to their natural wavy or curly hair.
This is good news for women like Kiyah S., who has already started the transitioning process on her own. Kiyah grew out her perm this year after wearing weaves for most of her adult life. This past weekend, she wore her soft, tight curls in an afro style to a lunch date. She grinned from ear-to-ear when a man complimented her on her afro. It isn’t often that women get compliments from men on their hair weaves.
