It looks like the new biopic Notorious is headed to theaters on Jan. 16, rather than the DVD bin.

I still don't see Biggie in Gravy or Puffy in Derek Luke. As an actor, Gravy is just not convincing, and I must remind myself who Luke is supposed to be portraying.

But this movie serves its purpose as a vehicle to document the rise and fall of rap's Premier GOAT. I just think it would be better suited for HBO or VH1.

In addition to the always spot-on acting of actress Angela Bassett as Biggie's mom, Voletta Wallace, the film marks the big screen acting debut of little Taylor Dior, who plays Biggie's daughter, T'yanna.

If you recall, little Taylor's adult hairstyle unexpectedly thrust her into the national blogosphere spotlight earlier this year (LINK).

Taylor's mom Chavon is an active member of the community!

Thanks to ICEDDOTCOM for sending over this video link which is supposedly a "sneak peak" at a "new" reality show featuring Dwight Eubanks, the flamboyant hair dresser and owner of The Purple Door Salon in Atlanta.

Dwight is best known for dishing advice to NeNe on Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta.

This video was posted up on YouTube way back in July. It is now November and we have not heard a peep about this show, meaning the show wasn't picked up by any of the major cable networks.

I can see why after watching this video.

There's something to be said for subtlety. If you know you're fabulous, you really don't have to go that extra mile to prove it. Others around you will see it and know it with very little effort on your part.

Rihanna's trendy hair cut has influenced top tier stars in Hollywood from Katie Holmes to Victoria Beckham who showed up at the Marc Jacobs show last night in NYC sporting her new Rihanna-inspired do!

Not everyone can pull off this stunning look, but Posh does it with ease ans style! Rihanna's hair styles this year has ranged from short pixie cut to trendy asymmetrical bob and back again. The girl is so flawless, everyone in Hollywood wants to be her!

If you must hate her, I totally understand! :)

Thank you to loyal reader Ateyaa for sending this video. Ateyaa is a hair stylist who took the time to make a video about taking proper care of our own hair rather than throwing dollars at expensive salon treatments.

Well, the "ladies" of the Long Hair Care Forum took offense and gathered their forces to attack Ateyaa! They hounded and harassed her until she felt the need to make a second video telling them to back off.

I don't have anything else to say about those "ladies" of the LHCF. But clearly they think they are the end all be all of black hair care and they cannot tolerate any independent thinkers in their midst. I apologize if I have offended any of my loyal readers who are members of that forum.

If you're not familiar with the Long Hair Care Forum, click here. Some time ago I created a post informing them that their attempts to grow hair faster is futile because hair only grows at one speed - and they banned me! :(

I've been meaning to post about this for a while now but I never got around to it. They didn't even give me a reason for banning me. I guess too much common sense shakes their confidence or something.

I still lurk over there and I shake my head at all the misinformation I see. Everybody knows that human hair only grows at a rate of half an inch per month. I don't care what you put in your hair its not going to grow any faster. And some black women can't grow hair at all due to genetics.

I really believe some of those chicks over there are delusional. For instance, the name of the forum is Long Hair Care - yet none of them can agree on what the definition of long hair is. Some say shoulder length, while others say arm pit length with still others say bra strap length.

I have included a photo I just took of my invisible fusions which takes about a day to put in - and for which I paid a grip I might add. The ladies on the long hair forum would consider my hair to be just above my shoulder blade. By their standards, my tresses are not long. Go figure.
