Keyshia Cole and Daniel Gibson Jump The Broom!
Congratulations to R&B singer Keyshia Cole and hubby Daniel “Booby” Gibson! The couple got married in Cleveland, Ohio last night, and apparently, they flew off to their honeymoon in a helicopter! Keyshia, 29, and Booby, 25, are parents to Daniel, Jr, 1.
Keyshia revealed her wedding plans exclusively to her “Diamonds” (Twitter followers) on Friday night (May 20) on blogtalkradio before flying to Cleveland (Click to listen).
Both Keyshia and Boobie tweeted their nuptials announcement on their Twitter pages around 2:30 a.m. this morning eastern time.
Booby tweeted:
So the World ain’t end. Not yet.. But a brand new world for me and my family has just Begun! #Blessed Wedding Pics coming 2morro! B E Z
Then her bestie, R&B singer Monica tweeted:
Congratulations to @keyshiacole Wishing u guys a lifetime of happiness
Booby, who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers, will tweet photos from their wedding later today on his Twitter page.
By sheer coincidence, Keyshia and Booby got hitched on the 6 month wedding anniversary of their friends, Monica and Shannon Brown, who wed secretly in their LA home on Nov. 22, 2010. Only Mo and Shannon’s parents witnessed their blessed union. But Mo, 30, and Shannon, 25, plan to say say their “I do’s” for a second time in front of a larger audience next month in LA. Shannon is a guard for the LA Lakers. Congrats to both of these beautiful couples!
Lil Kim Responds to That Apparent Diss from Keyshia Cole

Only someone who’s trying to build a sincere relationship does shows 4 free & supports. u did not pay me a dime 4 none of that. That warrants some type of loyalty and respect. Friend or no friend i would have never let anybody disrespect u on my record but i can’t expect everyone to be as real as i am. Trina and Keyshia Cole Vent Their Frustrations at BET
The BET nominations were announced last night. Troubled singer Chris Brown leads all nominees with 6, and comedian Kevin Hart will be handling the hosting duties.
Unfortunately, a few past artists who thought their body of work was still relevant today caught feelings when they found out they weren’t even acknowledged.
Rapper Trina and singer Keyshia Cole took to their Twitter pages in disgust to make their feelings known to the BET network.
In a series of tweets last night and this morning, Keyshia wrote:
That awkward moment when u realize in everyone’s eyes your not the sh*t anymore. #POW. I’ve officially got the memo. Thank mtv/bet… These types of thing R the way they R. I’m not upset about any of it in any way. I hope everyone that goes has a wonderful time… N while we’re addressing everything, Lil Kim and I a r not “friends” I take that term very seriously. Earlier this week I told you about Corrissa Friends, the 21-year-old nursing student and loving mom who was gunned down in her Riverdale apartment by her estranged husband, Wisdom Jeffery. Read that post here.
Celebrity photographer Prince Williams captured these photos of the smiling couple partying with their close friend, singer Keyshia Cole (and singer Monica), at the Velvet Room in January 2009.
No one knew that under her happy exterior, Corrissa was harboring a dark secret: she was the victim of domestic abuse.
Jeffery was a fixture on the Atlanta music industry scene and the couple always came out to support Keyshia. But behind closed doors Jeffery subjected Corrissa to physical and mental abuse and unwanted sexual advances.
When his jealous rages got to be too much for her, Corrissa packed up her newborn daughter and moved out. But Jeffery always found out where she was and he pursued her relentlessly.
Police say Corrissa feared for her life when she dialed 911 on August 10, 2010 to report a domestic dispute. But when police arrived at Corrissa’s Chateau Forest apartment in Riverdale they found no evidence of violence. Since his name was not on the lease Jeffery was asked to leave, which he did.
But on the morning of August 11, 2010, Jeffery returned to the apartment with a shotgun and shot Corrissa 3 times — twice in the abdomen and once in the back. Corrissa was able to dial 911 before she collapsed and died.
According to the Crime Stoppers Organization, Jeffery is still at large after eluding capture for 8 months.
FOX TV’s longest-running program, America’s Most Wanted, will feature the fugitive in a segment set to air this upcoming weekend.
Wisdom Jeffery is 5 ft 11in and 185 lbs. He is considered armed and dangerous.

‘America’s Most Wanted’ To Profile Friend of Keyshia Cole
America’s Most Wanted is set to air a segment this weekend featuring an Atlanta fugitive who went on the lam after murdering his estranged wife in her Riverdale apartment last year.
According to Fox 5 News, Wisdom Jeffery remains at large after shooting Corrissa Friends to death at the Chateau Phase II apartments at 6603 Church St on August 11, 2010.
Corrissa’s brief marriage to Jeffery was an abusive one. Riverdale Police Chief Samuel Patterson said Corrissa moved around Atlanta several times to get away from Jeffery.
The 21-year-old nursing student feared for her life when she called 911 to report a domestic dispute the day before she was killed.
But when police arrived they found no evidence of violence in the apartment. Since his name was not on the lease Jeffery was asked to leave, which he did.
But on the morning of August 11, 2010, Jeffery returned to the apartment with a shotgun and shot Corissa 3 times — twice in the abdomen and once in the back. Corrissa was able to dial 911 before she collapsed and died.
Jeffery left Corrissa’s 9-month-old daughter Casey with relatives in New York after the slaying.

Rumor Control: Frankie Did Not Fail Urine Drug Test
There’s a vicious rumor going around the blogosphere that singer Keyshia Cole’s mom, Frankie Lons, 50, was arrested for failing a urine drug test. Well, I’m happy to report that the rumor is not true.
According to Frankie’s publicist, Cherry Banez, Frankie was arrested, but not because she failed a drug test. Frankie missed her probation visit due to the fact that she was undergoing treatment at Dr. Dårew’s Pasadena Rehab center in California.

Sandra! fyi – unfortunately, Frankie was in a catch 22 situation – she missed probation because she was at rehab at Dr. Drew’s Pasadena center. That’s what lead to the arrest, not drugs as published by mediatakeout.
Frankie is 50 years old and I am doing what I can to help her change her image into a sober woman who has made regrettable mistakes. As she approaches the next phase of her life with grandkids and her new found children, I hope she does succeed. Keep up the good work with your Medical Minutes — what I am trying to say is you have readers who may not get medical info in traditional sources, but through your blog, [they] can at least receive medical info while getting their entertainment as well!

R&B Diva Keyshia Cole was spotted yesterday arriving at the same Beverly Hills medical building that celebs often frequent. The building houses doctors offices and a pharmacy. Celebs photographed leaving the medical center in the past include the late Michael Jackson, Halle Berry, Whitney Houston, Ciara, Diddy and Usher, among others.
Keyshia had mentioned in the past that she was thinking about getting her ample breasts reduced to lessen the load on her lower back. The part time Johns Creek, GA resident is gearing up for a special live performance on April 30 at the New York EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women. Keyshia has a son with NBA star Daniel “Booby” Gibson.
