Halle Berry Arrives at Court for Showdown With Gabe Aubry

TMZ.com reports that Halle Berry, 45, has arrived at court for her showdown with baby daddy Gabe Aubry, 35.
As you know, Halle’s nanny quit last week after Gabe flew into a rage and slammed her against a door — while she was holding Nahla in her arms.
A previous court order stipulated that a nanny must be present at all times while Aubry has custody of Nahla. But Aubry kept Nahla out of school last week without informing the nanny who went to the school to pick her up.
A police report was filed by the nanny accusing Aubry of assault.
Man who killed Jorelys Rivera found dead in prison

The 20-year-old maintenance man who pleaded guilty to killing 7-year-old Jorelys Rivera last month was found dead in his cell of an apparent suicide.
Ryun Brunn was arrested on Dec. 7, 2011 and charged with murdering Jorelys who was reported missing by her mother on Dec. 2.
Jorelys was last seen playing with other children in the playground of the apartment complex where she lived. Brunn was hired as a maintenance man at the apartment complex in Nov. 2011. He bragged on facebook about living rent free at the complex.
A Georgia Department of Corrections spokesman said Brunn was found unresponsive in his cell at 4:15 pm, reports Channel 2 Action News. It isn’t clear if Brunn was on suicide watch at the time.

Brunn appeared in a Cherokee County courtroom on Tuesday and coldly recounted how he committed the crime. Brunn said after he molested the child, he slashed the girl’s throat with a knife and beat her in the head with her own roller skate. Brunn wrapped the girl’s body and dumped her in a trash compactor.
“I never had an idea of killing a child in my life … I was just so terrified and scared. I didn’t want her to tell her mom and dad on me and I just … I cut her,” Brunn said. Source
Brunn pleaded guilty to murder and child molestation charges, among other offenses. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Swizz Beatz Unmasked As Content Pirate Kingpin
Music producer Swizz Beatz, who is married to musician Alicia Keys, is on the run from federal prosecutors, according to the Associated Press. Beatz, real name Kasseem Dean, 33, is listed as the CEO on the website of the Hong Kong-based file sharing website, Megaupload.com, which was shut down by feds today.
The indictment accuses the company of costing copyright holders more than $500 million in lost revenue from pirated films and other content. The indictment was unsealed Thursday, one day after websites shut down in protest of two congressional proposals intended to thwart the online piracy of copyrighted movies and TV programs.
Yesterday, Swizz Beatz was unmasked as the CEO/owner of the world’s largest file sharing website by the NY Post, which alleged that Beatz got some of his celebrity friends to appear in a star-studded promotional vehicle for Megaupload.com.
High powered celebrities such as Sean “Diddy” Combs, Kanye West, Floyd Mayweather, Serena Williams and others are seen happily promoting the illegal service in the video.
Feds Shut Down Swizz Beatz File Sharing Site; Employees Indicted

No wonder Alicia Keys is hanging on tightly to music producer Squid Beaks: he’s worth untold millions!
According to the NY Post, Swizz is one of the owners (along with a German guy) of the world’s largest file sharing site, Megaupload.com. Unfortunately, Megaupload.com was shut down today — and its employees were arrested and indicted by the feds for moving mass quantities of illegal music and movie files online.
Ironically, Swizz Beatz is exactly the type of shady individual that the anti-piracy SOPA bill is targeting. This means Mr. Beaks himself could be in handcuffs very soon!
Swizz Beatz has Sean “Diddy” Combs, Kanye West and Will.i.am in hot water with their label by getting them to promote his site, MegaUpload. The CEO of the Internet company, Beatz — also a recording artist, producer and DJ — persuaded the stars to appear in a “Mega Song” video promoting his service, intended to send large media files. The catch is the music industry has been fighting against file sharing, accusing the services MegaUpload offers of supporting piracy. Beatz’s wife, Alicia Keys, has also promoted the site with her picture and a quote. Swizz had also asked Mary J. Blige, Kim Kardashian, Lil Jon and Macy Gray to promote MegaUpload. Source

NYPD officers employ body scanners to detect guns on streets

The NYPD is developing body scanners which will detect concealed weapons on the streets. The technology is still years away but it is welcome news to citizens of New York.
According to NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly, the new technology will be mounted on police cars on the streets. It will detect radiation emitted from a person’s body through any fabric or packaging except metal. The images will reveal the outline of the gun underneath the person’s clothing.
McDonald’s Thugs Plead Not Guilty

Remember the rowdy lesbian couple who attempted to assault a McDonald’s cashier but they caught a savage beat down instead? The NY Daily News reports that the two lovers pleaded not guilty to criminal trespassing for jumping the counter.
According to the NY Daily News, Denise Darbeau (above left) and Rachel Edwards (who looks like a cleaned up Trina), were already fighting mad — with each other — before they entered the West Village McDonald’s on Oct. 12, 2011.
The pair had gone drinking, then got into a wild fracas with McDonald’s employee Rayon McIntosh, an ex-con, who was caught on video beating the women after they entered an employees-only area.
According to unsealed court records, Edwards (the Trina look-a-like) is alleged to have said to Darbeau: “Why did this happen? Why don’t you love me the way I love you?”
Both women entered “not guilty” pleas in a Manhattan court on Wednesday. They were both offered probation in return for pleading guilty. But Darbeau and Edwards declined through their attorney. They face up to seven years in prison if found guilty.
Their lawyer, Harold Baker, said outside court his clients would not cop to a felony. Baker said his clients are the real victims.
J.R. Smith’s Sister Chokes Out Fan in China

The Chinese take their professional basketball just as seriously as we do on the other side of the Pacific. So when former Denver Nuggets J.R. Smith was fouled in the paint, his sister took matters into her own hands — literally.
Smith, who jumped ship for China during the NBA lockout is stuck in Beijing until the Chinese basketball season is over in March. That’s when he can be reactivated in a NBA uniform, according to the Chinese rules that he agreed to when he signed that fat $3 million contract.
Smith’s current team, the Zhejiang Golden Bulls, faced the Bayi Rockets, who aren’t strangers to playing dirty (this is the Chinese military team who famously brawled with Georgetown on the court).
According to Deadspin.com, after Smith drew contact without a foul call, his sister allegedly threw a bottle on the court, then went on a rampage—choking out a woman and shoving an 80-year-old man out of her way.
