Celebs Out & About: Nick Cannon, Ron Artest, Nia Long
New dad Nick Cannon, 30, was spotted leaving a hospital in LA after visiting his wife, Mariah Cannon, 40, and newborn twins, Moroccan Scott Cannon and Monroe Cannon, yesterday. He was wearing a monogram Louis Vuitton Christopher backpack from the 2005 line that is very difficult to find even on eBay. As you know, MiMi gave birth to her firstborns several days ago, which begs the question why is she still in the hospital?
Let me pause here to ask when did Nick Cannon get to be so fine? Anyway, Mariah and Nick decided to name the boy Moroccan, since he proposed to Mariah in Morocco. They named the girl after the late actress, Marilyn Monroe, who Mariah gets some type of inspiration from. I guess they didn’t find it necessary to give Monroe a middle name.

Socialite Selita Ebanks was spotted leaving The Darby Supper Club in New York City last night in the company of a Real man. If you recall, many thought she was dating troubled music producer Kanye West who prefers men and actor Mehcad Brooks who prefers white women.
Nia Long was spotted sipping on an iced coffee from Panera Bread in LA as she headed back to her car over the weekend. At one time, Nia was the finest thing breathing in black Hollywood. But age, and gravity, caught up with the 40-year-old actress and mother of one. She is currently single.

Los Angeles Lakers forward Ron Artest was spotted partying in Hollywood a day before their big second playoff game against the Dallas Mavericks. By now you know that the hapless Lakers suffered a crushing defeat to the Mavs last night at the Staples Center in LA. Artest, who is the NBA’s 2nd dirtiest player (behind only the Magics’ Dwight Howard) was ejected from the game in the 4th quarter after picking up a 2nd technical foul. The Mavs now lead the Western Conference series 2 games to none.
UPDATE: According to ESPN, oach Phil Jackson expects Ron Artest to be suspended. Good! There’s no place in the NBA for thuggery!

Celebrity Seed: Usher
R&B crooner Usher, 32, was spotted with his sons, Usher V, aka Cinco, 3, and Naviyd, 2, arriving at their hotel in New York City today. Usher held on tightly to Cinco’s hand while the baby was carried into the hotel by a nanny.

A few days ago you had a post about Usher and about him not seeing his kids, which some people may take it that he’s a bad father. Well I recently attended his show here in Orlando, Florida this past Thursday, and during one of his segments, he actually brought out his kids on stage and let them play on stage while he sung to the sold out crowd.
I thought the kids probably would have been scared since it was such a big crowd. But the kids seemed like the stage was their play pen, lol. I must give Usher his props because, as a black man we always get the stereotype that we can plant the seed but not help it grow. You can tell the kids are the world to him and I just wanted to say my peace on that.

Actors Will and Jada Pinkett Smith attended the White House Easter egg roll with their children, Jaden and Willow Smith yesterday. Willow performed for the children of invited guests, while U.S. President Barack Obama, his wife Michelle and their girls, Sasha and Malia sang along.
Is this a boy or a girl kissing hugging Willow Smith? It’s so hard to tell these days. How confusing it must be for the children. EDIT: A loyal reader emailed me to say that the boy is a member of a group called Mindless Behavior.

LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Young Jeezy at The Velvet Room
NBA superstars LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and rapper Young Jeezy partied at the Velvet Room in Tucker, Georgia (a suburb of Atlanta) on Sunday, the night before the big game between the Miami Heat and the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena yesterday. Unfortunately, the Hawks didn’t have an answer for the best front court line-up in NBA history. The Hawks lost 98-80.
Alex Gidewon of AG Entertainment, 2nd from right, with LeBron, far left, D Wade and Jeezy, was able to pull of a coup by bringing all 3 superstars to the Velvet Room on Sunday night. A local nightclub almost went to court to prevent this party from happening. The local Decatur Flavors almost lost their minds when they saw the combined sexiness of the NBA ballers and the Snowman walk into the Velvet Room together!

Celebs Out & About: Dania Ramirez, Kim Zolciak
Actress Dania Ramirez, 31, was spotted arriving at the Los Angeles International Airport with her mystery man in tow in Los Angeles yesterday. I have nothing else to add except what does she see in him?
Reality TV personality Kim Zolciak (‘Real Housewives of Atlanta‘) showed off her baby bump, and the man who caused it (Atlanta Falcons star Kroy Biermann), outside the NY studio where the Wendy Williams Show is taped yesterday. Biermann, 25, is obviously a confident young man who doesn’t mind carrying his woman’s Louis Vuitton handbag.
Zolciak, 42, went on the Wendy Williams show to promote the season finale of the ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ which aired last night. As you know, Zolciak was beneficial in helping to bankrupt local land developer Lee “Big Poppa” Najjar, who lost one of the jewels in his crown — a large shopping center — to bankruptcy court recently. Once the other lenders heard that he was having cash flow problems, they all cut off his cash pipeline. The only reason we know about him is because he shamelessly squired Kim around town even though he’s married with children.
They say Najjar took Zolciak shopping in the trendy Buckhead area of Atlanta and splurged on diamonds and other trinkets to the tune of half a million dollars. That bling Aximum watch ($50,000) and the huge ($100,000) diamond rock she’s wearing came from him. Now Kim has moved on to her next target (the young, unsuspecting Biermann). All of this leads me to believe that Kim has good game. It certainly couldn’t be her charming personality (or lack thereof).

Nicki Minaj doesn’t care what you think…
Trinidadian Hip hop and R&B star, Nicki Minaj, 28, was spotted strolling through LAX this morning looking like a low maintenance bag lady. The “Monster” singer was wearing dark stunnas, the finest jet black Yaki and all black everything with bright pink lipstick and a Louis Vuitton tote as she arrived from NYC with long time boyfriend, Jamai Willis.
My guess is Nicki doesn’t have any real friends other than her attention whore boyfriend, who takes every opportunity to hog her spotlight. If Nicki had any real friends they would advise her to let her man play the background and to stop wearing more jewelry than she does. The fact that they spend every breathing minute together is also indicative of the fact that they are psychologically dependent on each other — and I don’t mean that in a good way. Industry insiders believe Nicki keeps Jamal so close because he’s got the goods on her. They’re telling me to expect a tell-all book from him if they break up. To that I respond: who cares?

Troubled singer chris brown, 21, was spotted outside his New York hotel wearing a trendy MCM cognac TI$A backpack. I told you about the resurgence of this popular backpack late last year when I noticed several celebs wearing one.
MCM was all the rage back when I was in high school, but the brand fizzled out in the late 80s. I called the NY MCM flagship store yesterday and they confirmed that this backpack is sold out everywhere. Had you acted quickly when I first told you, this backpack could have been yours for a mere $450. Luckily, I got mine before the stampede.
